for doing that as it heats quickly and sits firmly on the board for those quick little touch ups while sewing. It has a great shot of steam function which works well when pressing woollen garments. The long cord, stable when upright and easy controls and nice feel in the hand The only complaint I would have is the somewhat flimsy lift up cover for filling the water tank. It is a bit hard to prise open when your fingers are not so young anymore.

Teflon melts after warranty runs out – This iron is great at the beginning, however, just after the warranty ran out the teflon coating on the iron melted off in 2 areas where the steam comes out whilst ironing. Very annoying and damaged 2 pieces of clothing at the same time. Only lasted two and half years. I am now going to invest in a Sunbeam. lightweight unreliable considering it's outcome once warranty was up.

Good – Good Price but only lasted 25 months and all it ironed was my work shirts and pants. It was nice and heavy which i preferred over the cheap and nasty light weight irons. I Like a heavy Iron. Burst of seam is good for putting creases in my pants and shirts. Nice long Cord. I found it to leak a bit of water whilst ironing which was a bit of a pain. Only lasted 1 month after the warranty expired which was a bugger.
