Would not be buying anything from Breville ever again. They do not have a network of spare parts in each capital city and will not provide Express Post, completely inflexible

I have only been using this for 2 months, but so far I love it. It makes a really delicious cup of coffee. I am using pre-ground coffee (because lazy) and I probably am not a coffee expert. It makes a hot coffee which I love, and it heats and froths the milk up in seconds. I use soy milk and it works beautifully. I was a little surprised it came… Read more

with a plastic tamper as it isn't exactly a "cheap" machine but I have other accessories anyway. As someone else mentioned, yes it does splash a little because of the distance between the cup and portafilter but not a big deal.

Ok coffee machine. Maybe invest in the bigger one – The machine is ok. It vibrates a lot which makes your cup to move so you need to keep an eye on it. The milk frothing does the job although I still find the Nespresso frother much more convenient. Overall ok for a home coffee machine. Show details

Makes a good coffee but – This is my 3rd coffee machine (2nd Breville) and feel it's a backward step. Don't get me wrong when you work out the machine you can get a reasonable brew but what a poor design. Coffee temperature is reasonable, pump is a little rough but the massive 125 mm drop from the portafilter to your espresso cup (about 65mm gap to the lip of your… Read more

espresso cup) is crazy. Because of this coffee splashes everywhere. Not very well thought out considering Breville's slogan is "Serious espresso. Serious value". My solution?? I have to placed a plastic container under the cup.

Cheap plastic water tank; poor and ineffective customer service – Hard to say what the machine or the coffee is like, as the cheap plastic water tank broke clean into two pieces after making just one cup; the plastic is brittle and easily cracked. I suspect it was damaged prior to receiving it. Upon contacting Breville to arrange a replacement tank (at my expense), I have had to exchange 9 emails over a period… Read more

of two weeks to be told e.v.e.n.t.u.a.l.l.y that the tank isn’t even in stock and I’m s*** out of luck. This was after I had to source the correct part number myself when Breville attempted twice to send me a tank for a different machine.... Email #1 asked me for the serial number, email #2 stated the part was available and asked if I wanted it ordered, email #3 sent me to a webpage to an incorrect part and directed me to order it myself, I responded pointing out it was a part for a different machine; email #4 asked for my address; email #5 invoiced me for the wrong part; no response came from my email notifying the part was wrong and required me to send a follow up email (email #6); email #7 provided confirmation of an order for the correct part; email #8 was a cancellation of the order 'as per my request'; I contacted stating I didn't make a cancellation request. It is at this point that I am told, low and behold in email #9 [NINE], that the tank for my machine is, in fact, NOT in stock! Needless to say, dealing with customer support has been mind baffling inefficient and frustrating, and really for such a simple request it could have been managed far more effectively (and professionally). I asked if the part could be placed on back order for me (a small gesture of good will maybe, given the inefficient service they have provided up until this point...). Well, this was met with the greatest ‘I don’t give a beep’ email of all time from Breville Customer Service Consultant Rachel. Her suggestion was that I use the ‘notify me’ link on the product page, which evidently when tried provided me with an error message. Getting absolutely no where with Breville, I replaced the machine with a far superior (non-Breville!) machine, as without the tank the Breville was utterly useless to me and an undefined timeframe as to when I might be able to have it functional again. Given the poor quality, it would in all likelihood break again as I assume the tank being out of stock is an indication of the need at which it requires replacing!? Just to top it off, several weeks later the damn tank to arrived, unannounced and after I was told in no uncertain terms by lovely Rachel that it could NOT be back ordered. The whole matter could not have been handled more poorly.

Makes great Coffee – I purchased this Breville bambino coffee machine 3 Years ago (23/01/2021). I ordered online from Breville at the same time two 1 cup & 2 cups single wall filter baskets. The baskets that came with the coffee machine had 2 single hole baskets two skin only and I always had used the single skin. I probably make about 20 cups of coffee per week… Read more

(maybe I have made over 700 cups of coffee with this coffee machine). I try to get 19 grams of my own ground coffee in the 2 cup filter basket by tapping it a couple of times as I fill it. I concentrate on making a good cup of coffee & in general my coffee is very good. People when they visit always say they like my coffee so much. The cold milk heats and froths up perfectly by putting the wand in at 3PM on the dial & spinning it rapidly. I look at getting a fully automatic Machine but I worry I'll Never get a coffee to match the one I make with this machine.

Love it! – I wanted to step up from a bialetti stove top coffee maker, which I’ve had 3 of over the past 5 years. Did some research and Google reviews and decided on the Breville Bambino. I have my own burr grinder and get freshly roasted beans on a regular basis so I’m using the single wall filter baskets. It’s brilliant! The machine heats up in 3 secs… Read more

including the steam wand. I’m not sure whether the plastic within the portafilter is such a good idea, I’m finding it tricky to get my coffee as hot as I like it. Pre heat your cup in the microwave and run hot water through the empty portafilter before filling. The milk steamer does a great job! The machine is quite lightweight so 2 hands are needed to attach the portafilter but that’s no big deal. I’ll win no awards for latte art but the texture of the milk is smooth and creamy. Very happy ☺️

Milk Frothing

Lack Lustre - give the Bambino a miss – Having always had Breville coffee machines for the last 20 years, we read the reviews and decided to stick with Breville for our boat. The good - Its a nice compact size and light weight. The machine froths milk really well. The temperature is good. The bad - making a decent coffee is hot and miss. There is no consistency. We have tried different… Read more

size grinds, 2 shots, 1 shot, 2 plus 1 shot, smaller coffee size (get a ladder) but this machine is a total fail on the coffee component. I have gone through so many beans in my efforts to get on with this machine. We have had 4 people have a crack at it and all of us gave it a big thumbs down. Give this one a miss. Update: machine sent for testing and returned no issue other than to tell me to try new coffee beans. We have used fresh beans from Geelong and Botero, fine grind, loose grind etc. You can’t ‘pack’ the coffee as the machine does not have the grunt to push through. The borrowed Pod style coffee maker I am using (a Breville) has more grunt than this thing. This machine is disappointing- especially at this price.

The best coffee machine I have ever owned – The best coffee machine I have ever owned. Very easy to use & descale. Heats up fast. I was able to purchase one cup and two cup single non-pressure baskets direct from Breville as the machine came with one & two cup pressure baskets that wernt satisfactory to me. I already have a conical & burr grinder. The only problems are when it needs descaling it stops and the steam wand needs to be cleaned often.
