The Big, Bad Boss - Love it – This is still in the market, it's expensive but it's good. This makes the smoothest smoothies we've ever had. We loved them before but this lifts them to another zone. Better than any smoothie you could buy and you get to add your own ingredients meaning less sugar. There is a little difficulty in removing the lid and placing it on. It would… Read more
be better to have it made in glass or come with two jugs for appearance as the plastic tends to go cloudy. It is that good that Breville is so confident they placed a seven year warranty on it.
Broke down completely within a year – Mainly used for making frozen desserts. Wasn't all that thrilled with it's performance over other blenders to be honest. Cannot justify the price at all. Just suddenly stopped working. Very disappointed indeed. Show details
Love this blender from Breville – Quality product - you can tell it was meant to last. Don't buy a cheap blender - most have a poor quality bearing in the bottom of the jug. You will be lucky if the cheap jug lasts 2 years. And IMR the replacement jug costs about the same as the whole blender. Anyway, this quality blender has a solid feel. The jug is strong and the bearing has… Read more
already lasted 3 years with no sign of wear. The jug has a magnet that 'communicates' with the blender just like the most expensive blender starting with a V. The controls are very easy to use. I love the twist knob for changing the speed. And it also has built in programs. The noise is quieter than any other blender I've used. That is, until it reaches top speed which I hardly ever need to use since it performs nearly every job on 50-75% max speed. Definitely does the same job as the $$$ blenders.

Good product backed with poor service – We have had this product for 2.5 years and it has performed well, however over the past six months or so it has developed little spots of rust around the underside of the nut holding the blade housing in place. I contacted Breville, provided receipt, provided images and it still wasn’t enough for them to replace under warranty. Shame such a nice product is backed by such awful after sales service. Worst decision ever - Breville, The Boss has let me down – The machine worked very well for one year. I had no complaints whatsoever. I could see the performance going down starting year two. Third year and I realised my bench top has marks from the base that just wont go, like burnt rubber marks. The jar is no good and makes very loud noise every time i run it. I called customer service to be told I can… Read more
buy a new jar. What? within one year of buying a new blender buy a jar for 150 bux? This can't be right. I then got told I can get a discount of 25 bux. But didn't they give warranty on it for 7 years? I used the jar only for smoothies, no dry grinding, no pesto or soups. The smoothies always had enough liquid. I don't quiet understand how can something with 7 year warranty have parts that stop working within the first or second year, and then there is an issue with mould on the lid and jar. I seriously regret buying it. Back then I was comparing Vitamix and The Boss. I had friends who bought Vitamix and theirs works better than mine, price wise both were the same, Boss was actually more expensive than Vitamix. Big Big mistake. Breville, i was a big fan, I can see my loyalty changing now. So now I have a base motor, no jar. My dilemma is, do I buy the jar for another 150-175 bux for one year or do I buy a Vitamix for next 10 years for 450 bux.
Best blender ever!! – I had wanted to buy a Vitamix blender but couldn't afford the $1200 price tag. Along came the Breville The Boss Blender and I completely forget all about the Vitamix!! It is the same motor, does the same thing (YES you CAN make "nice-cream" out of frozen fruit without adding water and it completely blends it up with its 2200w motor into a… Read more
delicious creamy ice-cream without any preservatives. It comes with a stick to help blend things up and a special scraper to make sure you aren't wasting any of the food. I used it 2-3 times per day and its fantastic. I love to have a big green smoothie each morning and I normally use kale. My previous blender would blend the kale "enough" but I found I had to "chew" my smoothie as the kale was still kind of chunky through it. With this Breville The Boss Blender it is literally pulverised and you can't even tell its kale. The kids love my green smoothies now as they aren't chunky. Plus you can use the kale STEMS and they are completely smooth too - my old blender couldn't ever blend the stems up too. It also makes soups from scratch, and you can make flour as it has settings to blend seeds/grains/nuts etc into flours and powders. Totally worth the money!!
Fantastic Blender backed by Exceptional Service – Our family have had this blender since December 2015 and it is in constant use for smoothies, health shakes and the like - especially from our young adult kids who use it to make smoothies after their sport workouts. Well designed, attractive looking, easy to use and packed with a very handy hard cover recipe book this blender really is The Boss… Read more
- it works perfectly.
But the best thing about it is the 7 year warranty it comes with which, like all Breville products, is backed by a local service and assistance number that solves problems easily.
Today the small rubber ring on the lid failed (not surprising how often it gets used). A quick call to the Breville hotline and a new lid is being shipped to my home for free and will arrive within 4 days.
Yes, this blender costs a bit more than the others but it has a powerful engine and has a warranty that gives real piece of mind.
WE have a lot of Breville products in our kitchen because they work so well and the company stands behind its products. This really is a company Australians can be proud of.

This is perfect for my everyday use! – I purchased this blender as an alternative to having to pay for a Vitamix. It is quite loud but I put a cloth under it and use it in the farthest room from the rest of my family and when I shut the door, the noise is well contained. The motor is really powerful and can crush any of my frozen fruits. I use it to make smoothie bowls which it works… Read more
well with. It comes with a scraper and a tamper which are both extremely useful. The preset settings are useful.
Awesome – Works like a robot I burnt thru 3 Ninja blenders in one year and a bullet. This one makes all my blending experience a great one and I use it for soups and so much more hot or cold! Show details
Essential addition to my kitchen – This machine is everything that it promised to be. It blends to make iced drinks in seconds and so smooth. The soup function works unbelievable well. I have not come across anything that has not turned out like I want it to. I even was able to replace the spatula and frozen dessert dampener when I accidentally cooked them both in the oven. It’s just ok – Love this blender for smoothie making and puréeing used it for all bubs meals. Don’t love the “chop” setting so much, sometimes it works perfect and other items it pretty much purées them. Show details
Its good – This blender is good for blending all consistencies It has various option to keep consistency very runny or semi liquid as you desire. It's easy to use but not easy to clean but I found a trick to clean which helped me. I just put liquid soap n water n blend for a sec it cleans the machine easily Show details
Blender from hell – The first blender I bought eventually was on fire inside of it, the replacement started smelling like burnt rubber and giving off smoke. Not bothering to get another, will just get refund. Show details

Best blender – I got this blender as I was fed up with blenders that claim to crush ice but never do. I’ve had this one for around 18 months and just love love love it. I have also used it for baby food and making soup. Only issue is can be quite loud. Show details
This is the Boss – My best blender yet. Have owned the Boss for 18 months. I love this blender. When you put frozen kale in this blender it blends it to a smooth paste or liquid. Less blenders leave the kale in pieces in small pieces that are hard to swallow. I highly recommend this product. Great value for money Show details
EXCELLENT – BEST purchase ever. Easy to use and tackles pretty much anything you can throw in it's jug! We've made soup; frozen fruit "ice cream" and all sorts of dips and sauces. RRSP $699.00 and purchased for $299.00 - another reason I'm smiling. Show details
This is good but there is a little design issue – The blender is really good. It blends well. The great thing is that it does not make a lot of noise when it blends and blends well However, the reason i gave it 4 and not 5 is because every time you blend, the food item gets stuck at the bottom of the pot. There is an accessory using which you can remove the blade at the bottom of the pot,… Read more
wash it and put it back. However I have to do this every time I use it. I think Breville can change the design so that the food does not get stuck then it would be a 5 star.
Thanks,
Sam
Amazing power – Like other reviews I was amazed at the power and speed of this blender. Comes with a recipe book with some really good ideas and input from Heston detailing the benefits of fine particle size through good blending( which this machine definitely offers). The only blender I’ve ever heard of that blends a soup so fast that it heats the soup. Auto clean function is good. Only downside is it’s quite noisey - but that comes with the power. Show details
Better than I thought!! – When I first purchased the Breville I was concerned it wouldn’t be as efficient as my old model. This model is fabulous, it blends large quantities and therefore, no one misses out on a smoothy. We use it daily and having a house with three grown teens it’s earned back its money. Show details
Nutribullet who? – This blender smokes the nutribullet pro 900 because it is so easy to blend things together like who needs one of them expensive hard to use blender this blender just chuck it in and your done. Show details
Who needs a bullet when this dose it all – Who needs one of those bullet blenders when this one is so simple and can make the freshest fine milk shakes or blended drinks including a few alcoholic beverages with crushed ice. It blends very well down to tiny bits to none depending on what you blend Show details
Solid power gets through anything! – Great blender this! It has tonnes of power and can handle the hardest root veggies, nuts and even crush ice. A lot of lesser blenders reveal themselves with these tasks but the boss powers through. Looks nice in the kitchen in silver (we got solver) too. Happy with it,. Show details

Divine – I love making sauerkraut and salads but no one from the family likes to do the slicing. This machine is so helpful and excellent. It makes life so much easier. Slices and grates like a god. Show details
Great All Round Blender – This has worked out very well for us. It was not cheap but it gets used a lot. Mostly we do soup which it does easy-peasy and health concoction smoothies and it does those well too. It is quite noisy when running- our dog took off the first time we fired it up, but it's also very powerful. It's not too hard to clean and you know it should last well because Breville is a good brand. Show details
V8 of blenders (powerful but a bit loud) – But seriously I do really like it. I’m very noise-sensitive so I keep hearing protection with it. It does everything they say it will, the book is good quality and helpful. It’s easy to clean. I would prefer a glass jug though. The ability to make semifredo desserts is a bonus my vanity wishes it didn’t have. Makes the best nut milks using the high setting. Highly recommended. Show details
Pleasantly surprised – I was given one of these as a gift from a friend. I have used countless blenders in the past 4 years for smooties and making dips and have tried and tested many as a result. Most l find very unsatisfactory and leave me wanting more power, but l was pleasantly surprised that this could do everything l wanted. I even used it to ground un cashew nuts… Read more
(after soaking) for a spread. But l have really enjoyed using it. It also doesnt iverheat like some. The only downfall is that it is a little noisy in my opinion but almost all blenders are.
Good product, blends well! – Yes very happy with the machines blending ability. the consistency is how I want it to be, and being a Breville product, I expected nothing less. In terms of storage, it isn't necessarily easy to store, but what appliance is? noise level is normal for a blender, the settings are pretty self explanatory. Overall good purchase. Show details
The boss gets the job done! – My husband and I are big on getting healthy and I purchased this blender with juicing in mind. The boss can do it all! Every juice tastes delicious and the texture is perfect, unlike other blenders that leave you tasting nasty lumpy surprises! The only downside is that the green smoothie setting is super loud! Our early morning juices were… Read more
inconvenient for our neighbours since we live in our inner city terrace house. Other than that it is the best! The boss does it all!
Perfect for all sorts of meals! – The blender works very well initially - the blades are sharp and blend everything very smoothly. After a couple months of use you can really tell its wear as the blender heats up quite quickly and also takes a little longer to blend smoothies etc. Other than general wear and tear the blender is perfect for soups, frozen desserts, smoothies! Very happy with the boss – Very happy with this purchase. It works as it should and is easy to clean. Can be a little noisy but it is quite powerful. I have not used commercial brands but think this machine would stack up pretty well in comparison. I mainly use for shakes (protein and thick shakes) and have made a few soups. Also looks nice. very good – Very easy to clean, you dont need to open up the bottom at all to clean it, smooth blending of chunky items, noisy, but thats expected well priced basic features Show details
Powerful! – - Had trouble with mixture getting stuck with cheaper model, never get stuck during mixture - Very easy to clean, dont need to open up the bottom at all meaning dont have to clean it separaetely - Very smooth blending, the end product is crush to bits - Quiet noisy, but expected for high voltage product - Has muiltiple function for varierty of use Eg - Blend, Cut, Mill etc Show details
Can't live without it when it works but for an expensive appliance thought the motor would last more – Loved what it did but then motor suddenly stopped. Cannot believe an appliance that expensive would breakdown so quickly. I have had my washing machine for 24 years with not a problem Show details
Very reliable – I liked using this blender as it is very effective and help me during my cooking process. Also, it blends thw food the size you want to male the cooking easy. Show details
Smoothies and more – I have had this unit for afew weeks now and so far I love it. Blending strawberry milkshakes is so easy and quiet compared to my mums older machine. Afew days ago i used it to blend up juice, oranges, apples and pineapple. The result was an awesome even blend of flavour and no skin from the apple was left over. Show details
