This is not a 1000w motor This is not 1000 watts! This is the third Kinetix twist blender l have bought, and love it because of the 1000w motor, which whips up my breakfast smoothie every morning. I put exactly the same ingredients in, and this replacement blender l have just spins at a MUCH LOWER SPEED than my previous 2 Kinetix blenders. I… Read more

looked on the bottom of the appliance and it clearly states ‘546w’………not 1000w!!!!! Breville have a LOT to answer for, not happy AT ALL

Smoothie Bliss – We have had this blender for a few years now, and have only just recently started using it more regularly to make smoothies. After recently finding out some tips to stop it from jamming, we have been on a smoothie festival! It also came in handy when we were making baby food and I didn’t want to get out the massive food processor. Overall, I think that this is a great product. It cleans well. It was a great price. It’s durable. It’s easy to use. Show details

Doesn't blend smoothies – So this review is more about the general trend towards crappy design and performance of manufacturing. We bought this blender because the last Breville blender we had was made of glass and rock solid but we broke the glass jug and breville weren't making them anymore. That thing had balls and would blend anything. This thing is plastic and takes… Read more

forever to blend ice smoothies. It seems most appliances these days have gone down the path of flashy looks but poor performance and longevity. I don't know if it is deliberate so we upgrade every few years or because our manufacturing has all been outsourced to places like China but I won't buy breville again in the future.

Cyclonic perfection – Read reviews on pros and cons of the Kinetix Twist and honestly comes down to preference and trust of product and brand. As we previously owned a Breville Blender and had to replace, we are ecstatic with our choice being the Kinetix Twist. This is an upgrade to what we previously had. With the new design being sturdier and compact this was a plus.… Read more

With 4 different levels of speed you shouldn’t have an issue with inconsistencies in blend. The design of the Kinetix is a stroke of genius in design, no matter what order you place your ingredients, the cyclonic design twirls the ingredients so everything will be blended. This is great for fruit smoothies as each result has been perfect. We add ice cubes into our blend and are crushed to even consistency, a plus within the family. Another added feature is the smoothie button. Once pushed on, it will blitz then pulse a few times, blitz and results…perfection and smooth. Do I find the machine noisy? No. This is what some cons are stated as. Will the Kinetix stop as mentioned in reviews - it will eventually as it will reach its safety cut off. This won’t happen whilst making a smoothie or two. Usually, an appliance will go into safety mode when it has reached its heat level, but that won’t be straight away as some reviews state. Let’s talk design, with the stainless look on the motor and the fully enclosed jug, there is no issue on stability. The jug itself fits smoothly on, and can be removed just as easily. At first, I was a little disappointed on the jug not being made of glass, like the previous version, but the Kinetix design is much better. It is lighter and the base dome is design to simply fit straight on. Highly recommend if you are in search for an upgrade or a new blender.

Didn't do the job it was supposed to – Bought it for blending green smoothies. I add banana, carrot, celery, spinach and pear and a few cups of water. I was blending for quite some time and pulsating as well and used various settings of which none seemed to blend smoothly without lots of bits still floating and a couple of larger chunks that looked like a conglomerate of fruit fur… Read more

balls. I was really disappointed in the lack of smoothness especially after such a long time blending. I had an old Phillips blender that suddenly died and it was over twenty years old that did a better job than this one. Maybe better used for smoother items like bananas or berries.

Great blender with excellent capacity – I really like this blender. Coming from having a glass jug blender, this one is so much lighter and the jug is 100 times easier to clean. It easily and quickly makes smoothies with the smoothie button. I even make my pancake mix in it which turns out light fluffy pancakes with minimal mess. The only drawback, although it is not an issue for me, is that it is loud but realistically what blender that works isn’t loud? Show details

Perfect for my needs – I had a Breville Motiv blender for many years and when it gave up I started researching for a replacement. My needs have changed in time and now I would use the blender for soups in the winter and smoothies and shakes in summer. I also needed it for pate and the grandlings like to crush ice for summer treats. I decided on the Breville Kinetix… Read more

Twist because it would do all the things I wanted without the extra, and often expensive, features I knew I would not use. The price was also very reasonable at $129. The first time I used it confirmed I had made the right choice. The base is lighter than my old one which is a wonderful thing because lifting heavy appliances is more of a problem now. The BPA free Eastman Tritan jug is so light and unlike my old glass one is safer if dropped. The measurement markings on the jug are very easy to read and are marked on both sides of the jug so it doesnt matter if you have it handle left or right. The jug simply sits in the base, no trying to position then *click* into place. This all makes setting up ready for use quick and easy. The lid has a Ring pull which is such a wonderful things for arthritic hands. The inner measure cap is very well designed and so easy to put in and remove. There is also a citrus cone which can be placed into the lid and juices squeezed straight into the blender. The buttons on the base are clear and easy to see and not too hard to use. There are 4 speeds, pulse, auto clean/smoothie , on/off and a cancel button. The Kinetix bowl and blades really do make this blender a joy to use. There are no little spaces where food hides and no need to scrape and stir during blending. It really does lift the food from the bottom of the bowl and also draw it down from the top. I did stop halfway to push down some splattered pieces from above surface but thats all. I expected some movement on the bench due to the lightness of the base however the four rubber feet kept it firmly in place. While all blenders make some noise I found this to be much quieter than my old one and did not find the noise level an issue at all. Cleaning was almost fun! I put in a little water, two drops of detergent and ran the self clean function. The blender changes speeds as it goes through the cycle and when it finished I rinsed the jug, lid and insert, then set aside to dry. The jug, lid and insert can be washed in a dishwasher. I am very pleased with this blender and would highly recommend it. I honestly could find no negatives, it is everything I need in a blender and then some.

Very happy with this fantastic blender – Love this blender and particularly its well thought out design. Bought to replace a Nutribullet which was too fiddly and small and this does the job easily with its powerful motor and makes an awesome smoothie. Looks good, easy to clean, great design, great performance, and at a good price - well done Breville. Show details

Perfect blender – I am very happy with this purchase. Pros: Powerful Motor. it as presetting that are helpful. Has an automatic cleaning presetting. I like that it doesn't have to many parts, so its simple. Cons: Loud, need a better lid design, pretty heavy compared to nutribullet. I have owned nutribullet before but this blender is much better in quality and performance for similar price  Show details

Can’t get the job done ! – This Blender just doesn’t have what it takes. All I make is fruit smoothies and this hunk can’t liquifie my fruit without me constsnatly removing the top to shake the contents around or adding extra water. Food needs to be cut up extra small to prevent it all sitting above the blades as they spin. Would defiantly shop around.  Show details

Very Happy With This – This replaced an old Breville that was way past its good days. - what a difference! ThIs is so powerful in comparison and really liquifies fruit as opposed to mushifying. Very effective machine and easy to clean once it has done its work - good choice  Show details

Perfect item for price tag – Have been using this blender/mixer for a month now and we are quite happy with it. For the price tag it does what is expected. It is a bit loud but not annoying. The chop option is not quite what we expected. It can't be used for chopping things. Overall happy with the purchase.  Show details

Ok – It’s ok, not the sturdiest thing, really not the best with blending things, things really need to be broken down already for it to just finish the job. Buy some thing better, unless u just want to blend soup.  Show details

Really beaut Blender – This Is a great blender in lots of ways with just one downfall. First up, I love the solid industrial style construction. Its solid metal and feels way better than your average blender. It has a series of pre programs including a very handy smoothie function- you just pressa single button. The lid doubles as a juicer which is great. The downside/… Read more

Noise! Its noisy when it runs so brace yourself. I am taking one star off for the noise but other than that this is great

Happy With This Belnder – This is a sold blender. The motor is powerful and it can easily puree veges. I use it for soups (lots of hard veges) and smoothies (everything) and it munches through them all without issue. I tried ice and that was noisy as anything but it got the job done. It cleans up very easily too. A good all around product  Show details

Good for Juices and Smoothies – I needed a blender to make fruit juices, and this one gets the job done well. It's also great for smoothies, as it crushes ice easily. I've found it easy to wash it afterwards as well.  Show details

Good blender that works well with solids – It does what it suppose to do Extract juice from fruits and vegetables easily without any trouble at all. The build quality is good but cleaning is irritating as there is a strainer with fine holes along the inside to avoid getting any pulp into the juice compartment. With the juicer they provide a cleaning brush that doesn't really help.I despite this I still use this on an almost daily basis.  Show details

Excellent for Smoothies – Very happy with this product. Liquify setting gets rough vegetables (e.g. Kale) to a nice, silky, drinkable consistency. Have generally only used for fresh smoothies but very satisfied. Simple to use. Easy to clean.  Show details

Not good for everything – I bought this blender last year and can honestly say that while it is great for smoothies, cocktails, anything that needs blending/ mixing really, it is NOT great if you need to make sauces for gravies, curries etc. by chopping. I find the blades are set too far apart, and way too large. Onions, garlic, tomatoes, can pretty much spend a minute or… Read more

two in the blender before you actually achieved a paste consistency. It is very noisy, and unless you plan on waiting for soups to become room temperature before blending, you will need to make sure you apply push pressure on the lid, otherwise anything slightly hot will explode (due to the pressure of hot air contained in the jug), same goes if you overfill it. Not rocket science, but if you are in a hurry (unless of course you are adding cream etc. to the soup) forget it. Easy too clean though, which always helps. Overall, we ended up buying a Bamix to do the finer chops.

November 2nd 2019 Update: Good for smoothies

I have had this blender for sometime now and honestly its great for soft smooth ingredients (for smoothies/cocktails and soups) and ice (ice on pulse), however, when it comes to the more chunky foods it really is not as good as I hoped. For example try to blend two different textured tofu (broken in to small pieces) into a smooth mixture for a vegetarian lasagna (even with a small amount of water as well as the tofu liquid, I also added ricotta cheese) did not work as well as you would expect. We ended up having to mush it down ourselves. The blades kept trying to push it upwards while spinning, only small amounts of the mix were reaching the middle and it was taking way to long too work through. Maybe the blades need to be wider and have more reach. I tried each button but none worked effectively. It is also extremely loud. For the price I would have expected so much better. Even hubby has found it to be so frustrating. I finally caved in and on the weekend I went out and bought a NutriBullet 1200, a lot quieter in comparison and in my opinion does a better job. The only problem is you cant blend as much in the NutriBullet as you can in the BREVILLE. Quantity over quality its a tough choice, but if I have to blend smaller batches in my Bullet so be it. On the up side, it is a solid build and is easy to clean (stick it on smoothie mode and let it go). Ps. As with any blender be careful with hot liquids, let them cool before blending. I have always been a BREVILLE fan, most of my appliances (kettle/toaster) over the years have been BREVILLE. But this one gets the thumbs down for me.

Great for the price – The machine works well and blends smoothly. I've used it to make soups and dips as well as smoothies. It looks great and sits on the bench top. I find it easy to clean and all the features are easy to use. The noise level is on the louder side however it appears to be well built and very robust.  Show details

One blender for all – Works well, the blade are very good and blends well. We use it for smoothies and nice pumpkin or leek soup. Very easy to wash and handle easy because of the light weight. We used to have a glass blender which was so heavy and the glass cracked at the end.  Show details

Breville kinetix twist blender – Happy with this product, blends well and easily. Made pumpkin soup and I had no problems doing so. Well made and robust. It has overload protection which will save burning out your blender.Easy to clean as it has a auto clean option. There is no issue with the base leaking because it is built all in one, so it is easy on the fingers not having to tighten the base.  Show details

One blender for all the blending you need – The blades are pretty good and blends almost everything. The pulse action is good to blend for a very short time and. It's pretty fast and easy to use and clean. And a lot easy to install. The juicer accessory is not of much use though. Will last years altogether if used with good care. As for me it is already into 4th year and didn’t have any problem all this time. Show details

Great Blender – The blender works really well when blending cold stuff. It has the ability to process the food or drink at a different speed, and do chop, mix, blending etc. The only thing is that you have to wait a while before food that was warm to enter the blender because it causes annoying fog in the blender which is hard to see the consistency of the food. The blender is robust and works well.  Show details

Done good job – Great blender. Just bought it and no bad comment. Did what I wanted. Come with citrus manual juicer lid as well which is very handy. Blend smoothly and no complaints.
