It started well but didn't last long – I relaced my old Nespresso machine with their top Virtuo Creatista on a subscription (my fourth machine). One of the reasons I've stayed with Nespresso is the excellent service I've received in the past. I remember when one of my machines developed a problem, they sent me loan machine while mine was being repaired, thus my family not having to do without coffee…read on.

My machine has started leaking, a slow seep. It is constantly sitting in a puddle of water. It was only a couple of months old when I noticed it and I spent the next couple of months making sure it was the machine, not user error.

Now to the customer service, or lack thereof. To have my faulty $1,100 coffee machine looked at, I have to pack it up, take it to a post office and send it back to them. They'll look at it and decide what to do from there. We'll be without our coffee machine for at least two weeks, not to mention the inconvenience of having to return such a large machine.

I've been a faithful Nespresso customer for 15 years. I'm on my fourth machine. Had I realised their faithful clients are now being treated as a number, I would have bought the Breville Barista I was considering.

Note Added: After lengthy discussions, Nespresso were able to resolve my machine problems to my satisfaction. Despite Australia Posts's usual attempts to mutilate a successful conclusion, I am now enjoying my morning coffee, made with with my non-leaking Virtuo Creatista. Thank you, Nespresso.

Innovative time saving technology – If you can’t live without coffee but are rushing out the door in the morning then this is your machine. This machine has some amazing time saving features. I’m a coffee snob & do prefer fresh grounded coffee beans but when your mornings are chaotic & that’s most for me a pod coffee does the trick. Nespresso’s pods are barcoded & are different sizes, they come in small, medium & large. The machine recognises each pod individually to extract the perfect amount. This is the Centrifusion™ brewing technology. My first few coffee’s were inconsistent due to me taking sometime to figure out what coffee pod I liked & how concentrated I wanted it to be The froth, temperature & consistency of the milk however was perfect every time & was my favourite feature as I didn’t have to stand there failing at frothing the milk. Once your milk is done it will rinse the inside of the steaming stick making it easier for cleaning. What’s even better is the connectivity function that allows you to keep up to date with descaling right from your phone.
