Got it brand new , have been using it daily for two months … now it doesn’t suck in the water and makes a terrible noise when running. Have called a few times with no resolve. Some of which is my fault as misplaced the receipt so there is nothing they can do for me . After reading different reviews I can see this is a problem with the machine . Probably would never buy another coffee machine from this company Show details
I bought my first one on a L'OR promotion. It worked well for about 3 months then stated getting slower. I did a few cleaning treatments no difference. I expected a Phillips product to be of the highest quality. It still works but its painfully slow. I live in a remote area and the opportunity presented its self to buy another at Woolworths. I notice that they now reccommend a weekly flush. I will see how this one lasts Show details
Machine came with no manual. It stopped piecing capsules. L'or is USELESS when you call them. I went around in circles for nearly 2 hours with NO HELP WHATSOEVER. I finally found the solution myself. Buy with caution. Show details

Used 6 times a day and so great – Ok, my first pod machine. I like that I can use many different types of pods. I do not like the lor pods. It’s not too big but I think it’s noisy. I can also choose many size of pour, so that is the biggest bonus. It was a birthday present. Show details · 1
My saviour – This machine can make 2 coffees at a time. If you buy the LOR coffee pods, they now have the double shot pods which is fantastic for coffee lovers like myself. Attached milk frother is a life saver. Especially for those who like their cappuccinos. What else is great is you can use any Nespresso compatible pods. Lor- Nespresso- Starbucks-Baileys… Read more · 2
- St Remio. Comes in multiple different intensities. I use this machine daily. Easy to clean as all parts just slide in & out easily. Fantastic also when you have people over. Time saving.
Capsules need indent top – Coffee machine works quite well. Has been frustrating figuring out which capsules work but i think i have it sorted now. As per photo, the LOR and Nespresso capsules have an indent hole at the top. They both work of course. Any capsule with a flat top does not work. Eg coles cheap ones don't work and vittoria does not work. See photo. If you try a… Read more · 1
flat top the lever does not close unless you slam it down until it almost breaks which is not good for your relaxing coffee moment or the machine.
New favorite coffee machine – This machine has now taken centre stage on my kitchen bench. It is sleek and elegant and is faster than my other two machines. I love that it can make a double brew so I can make my coffee at the same time as my partners, or just go for a double shot on the extra sleepy mornings! The L’or pods have a great range of tastes and intensities and the machine makes a wonderful rich brew. Show details · 1

Absolutely loved it – The Philips L'OR coffee machine is really worth the price. I originally got mine for free through a promotion, and I’ve absolutely loved it since then! One of the best things about this machine is its compatibility with common capsules. Unlike some machines that lock you into using only one brand, the Philips L'OR works with a variety of… Read more · 1
capsules, giving you more options to explore different flavours and intensities.
It’s also incredibly easy to use and clean. The design is simple yet efficient, and I’ve never had any issues with it. Just pop in a capsule, press a button, and enjoy a rich, flavorful cup of coffee in seconds. Cleaning is hassle-free, which makes it even more convenient for daily use.
Great coffee at a bargain price – I have had a L’OR LM8018/90 for several years, it is used daily and am still very satisfied with it. However when the LM9012 Sublime model was advertised at $79 plus $49 for the separate milk frother I bought one as a spare machine. After flushing a tank of water through it I made a couple of cappuccinos using L’OR Ultimo capsules to try out the… Read more · 2
machine and compare with the older model. The coffee was just as good and I would be happy using the new model for my morning coffee. The control panel now just has three buttons for the various lengths of brew so no on/off button, very fast to warm up and quick to supply a delicious cup of coffee. Definitely recommended.
I love my L’or coffee machine – Had it for few months and I am really happy . Very good price and quality. You can use almost any Capsule , including Nespresso . I like that you can even have 2 coffees at the same time . You have 3 options, short, medium or long . The coffee is always hot which is very important . I am also happy that it has a good water capacity and also it can… Read more · 1
store many used capsules so no need to clean it every day like it happens with other brands. Really recommend. Their own coffee capsule are also amazing . Not many options, but they are nice. I love the Vanilla one.

The most foul tasting coffee, ever – I have had this machine for 3 weeks. It is double the size of my machine a home, although it brags about being compact. The crunch is it produces the most disgusting coffee I have ever tasted. The coffee is badly polluted by a horrible plastic taste. Not only is it not drinkable but it could be bad for your health. I have rinsed at least 15… Read more
reservoirs through the machine. I even tried rinsing a weak vinegar solution. No change. Today I cut the electric cord off and threw it in the bin. I refuse to endanger my health drinking plastic polluted coffee. Shame on the manufacturers.

Just…does the job – Out of the box it worked best. Over time despite maintenance coffee quality dropped off a little, possibly due to pod punctures/pressure or water temperature. Very plasticky and the pod handle always felt loose. Recently it just stopped working, 3.5 years since purchase. For the price it did ok. Would I have paid more for better? Yes. Show details

Cannot fault for price – Great little machine, you need to purchase milk frother separately for cappuccinos, but for all coffees great unit. LoR coffee pods are fantastic, just need to keep eye out when shopping between Coles and Woolies as they seem to alternate discounts, but machine very reliable, easy to maintain, easy to clean, great value for price Show details · 1
The coffee stinks and tastes of burnt plastic – I bought this machine a week ago. We followed the diagramatic instructions and made some coffee. The stench and terrible taste was sickening. Since then we flush through two lungo measures of clear water, and then make our coffee which is not bad though you can still get a slight taste of the stench. Are we doing something wrong? Is there some… Read more
packaging material stuck inside that we were not informed about? What causes this bad taste and smell? I must point out that when we do the first flush and smell the water it is dreadful. After two flushes it is almost OK.

Disappointed. Dishonest marketing – Just received my machine. I took advantage of the promotion advertised and now realise, I was duped. I bought this particular machine as it makes two cups of coffee (lungo) at a time using the xxl capsules. I was disappointed to find the machine doesn’t come with any capsules (other machines have a welcome pack) and a $20 voucher which I had to… Read more
ask customer service to activate for me because the link provided, doesn’t work. The website actually looks dodgy with various glitches and even spelling mistakes! I am extremely disappointed that the XXL pods are no longer available, this is the whole point of buying the l’or machine!! This should’ve been communicated when selling this machine. The machine also comes with terrible instructions which make no sense (pictures used so as not to have to print in different languages). First day of having the machine, TWO CALLS to customer service and I am left regretting my purchase. I wish I had just stuck with Nespresso… they’ve always been honest and reliable

No after sales service – Purchased my L’or machine with attached milk frother which worked beautifully for 7 days. L’or side flicked me to Phillips who asked for photos and then video. A week later nothing. I’ve now sent a second email to Phillips who have now responded and are send a replacement frother. Buyers beware of quality Show details
Don’t buy this machine. Revised review… – Don’t waste your money on this machine. Mine broke after 2 days. Received direct from JD and they want me to go to a Phillips service centre to have it checked. The nearest service centre is an hour away. I wrote back and told them I’m not travelling all the way to a service centre, that they should come up with some customer service and find an… Read more
alternative response. They couldn’t be bothered writing back. Won’t be buying their pods anymore. Now that I have calmed since writing this review, allow me to give my current take on this machine. Since writing this review, I searched for a full bean coffee machine. The difference being the quality of fresh ground coffee beans to coffee pods and the wait time to brew. This Phillips pod machine takes about 10 secs for it to produce a coffee with crema on top. One of the fastest on the market and produces a decent coffee (depending on your choice of Pod of course). The review above was written in regards to the poor customer service of JD rather than the actual machine. The machine is cheap at $159 Aust. and actually good value though it will last 2-3yrs if you make an average of 10 coffees per day, 7 days a week. I have purchased another machine (same) since the review and it works quite well. To their credit, Phillips did respond to the initial review (with an offer of assistance) but so incensed was I at the lack of customer service from JD that I did not want anything more to do with JD. I now rarely buy L’Or pods due to their appalling customer service, buying Lavazza pods instead. The machine is actually OK unless you get a dud as I did. The current machine is working fine and expect to get another year out of it (and hopefully more).

Disaster! – I just got this machine today and L’or sent me a broken, faulty piece of..machine!!! It is NOT working. The light keeps flashing (fast) the machine does not recognize the water tank or I don’t know what the problem is!! And I don’t wanna deal with sending it back to you, especially considering that I already threw its box away. How can they send a broken machine to me? I don’t work and earn money so that I would throw it away! Show details

Worst Machine and Worst Customer Service – We bought this machine from L'or. It arrived as a birthday gift and when we opened it it had a huge crack in the water container Contacted L'or and thry said they couldn't help as they were only a reseller so had to contact Phillips who make the machine. Contacted Phillips, had to provide proof of the crack and at the same time found out the… Read more
actual whole machine us faulty as it doesn't pump. Did a priming test with the customer service rep on the phone and they confirmed it was faulty and they would send us out a new one in 10 days. They said we would receive an email confirmation and directions of how to dispose the faulty machine. Now a week later, no email, no working coffee machine. So call Phillips again, only to be told a replacement will take 4-5 weeks! Are they joking. A birthday gift arrives faulty and I've been wasting hours of my time over the phone. I have contacted Department of Fair Trading and have been advised that L'or actually are legally required to provide me with a refund as they sold the product. So that means more of my time wasted speaking to L'or again to try and get a refund that I'm legally entitled to. The most disgusting customer service ever and the product is crap as it clearly arrived faulty
Cheaply made machine – i would suggest now buying this machine after buying ours brought it home and it was leaking. after a few days of trying to find why said screw it and opened it up to find a faulty water hose in the back of the machine that as soon as the tank was connected would start leaking and would be empty in about 5 mins coffee isn't bad but having to put a… Read more

A Little Disappointing – 3 things that I have noticed: Machine is quite noisy, Hard to open the top lever and feels like it may break, After using a double shot capsule the machine will not work with a single shot capsule unless I push within the capsule slot and reset the spring loaded section that makes contact with the front face of the capsule. Otherwise produces Okay coffee and a good crema. Show details
Cannot live without! – I absolutely love our pod machine, so easy to use and honestly feels like I have just got a coffee from one of the coffee shops except I get to enjoy it in the comfort of my own home. The fathers day special was great which made getting the machine super affordable along with all the pod flavours to try. Show details · 1
Not the best, but you’ll get used to it – Edited review: First use only a few days ago, and since then my husband and I have tried six different flavours across three different brands (L’or, Moccona, Caffe Aurora) and all of them turn out horribly bitter and burnt tasting. I was previously using an Espressotoria system machine, and an Aldi machine prior to that - I have had pod coffee… Read more
machines for over 5 years.
Another annoying feature is the amount of dripping water! - after dispensing coffee, and when you drop the pod out it drips even more water.
Added:
Phillips contacted me, and offered that I could take the machine for a repair. The closest repair centre was an hour away, and I never got there due to work & study commitments. We learned to use pods of no more than an 8 strength for the first few months; it’s now almost 2 years later, and it can make a strength 10 without it being disgustingly bitter. The water drip issue never resolved.
We got a second machine of the same make at the start of this year, and we didn’t have any issues at all with it burning the coffee. It also drips, so it must be a machine thing.

Philips lied to me! – Coffee machine stopped piercing capsules, milk frothing only works intermittently. Philips promised to replace the existing model with another model which I had accepted. On the basis of that, I have given away over 800 cofeee capsules as the one that was being sent as a replacement did not use capsules but granulated coffee instead. Now I am… Read more
told they want to reverse their offering to the same machine I had despite agreeing to their offering.
I am now at a loss of over 800 coffee capsules $$$ if I accept their offering. Whilst I am repeatedly advised that their policy states replacement of same machine or equivalent, they have ultimately lied and mislead me.
Philips kept stating and blaming the pandemic for the fact that they can’t provide me the newer model, yet I have shown and proved to them that it is available via their Amazon store via the Philips website link which links me to Amazon. They won’t budge and I feel like I’m talking to a brick wall.
I will be contacting the ACCC as this is not acceptable and a breach of contract.

Perfect and Happy – Really happy I did this with the offer they had - Free Machine - and then buy the Pods. The best part of this - the machine is also user friendly with Nespresso etc - so best of both worlds Cant fault it 5 Stars all the way. Show details · 1
Great Machine Easy To Use - just a question on custom pour settings – I really like the look and operation of this machine. Great selection of pods. Good Flavours. Only limitation was I can't seem to program more than a 270ml pour size Show details · 2
Disappointing product – Had machine approximately 2 months, biggest issue is I'm not happy with the coffee produced. The bottom of my cup will be filled with silt/grains of coffee. I've always used L'Or pods but in a smaller Nespresso machine and never had this issue. The coffee machine also seems like it doesn't produce enough pressure, the coffee doesn't "pour" out of… Read more
the spout as much as dribbles. This results in a really poor crema, the one thing a pod machine should be able to produce.
This was after the machine being faulty out of the box. As I purchased online through L'Or they would not replace, had to take to a local warranty repair agent to have it fixed (failed water line from reservoir to pump). After all that to find once the machine actually worked it is not as good as my 5 year old Nespresso machine.
I'm also waiting for the lid where the pods are placed to break... it has never sat properly on the unit since new, and opening and closing feels like it is getting caught on something.
I would not recommend this product to anyone. Better off trying your luck with a cheap ALDI machine.

Brilliant! – Brilliant! Have had my L'ior for approx. 3 months now. Easy to operate; water tank is quite large as is the capsule holder. It produces brilliant coffee every cup and the range of capsules on offer is fantastic from mild to extra strong and the water temp. remains constant. I love it and recommend to all Show details · 1
Spring-loaded plunger is ceasing – I purchased this machine on 8 Aug 2020 from L'OR direct. It is a great machine, takes a great range of pods, looks great and the quality of coffee varies; although, that is the pods, not the machine. It is quiet and has a decent size water tank, so you're not forever re-filling it. However, eight weeks ago the front spring-loaded plunger that… Read more
pierces the thin aluminium film on the front of the pod started sticking down/getting stuck in the compressed position. It has progressively gotten worse, now, I either have to put my finger inside the top and push on the edge of the plunger to free it; sometimes that won't work, and I have to wait about 10 min for it to cool down between pods for the plunger to shrink and pop itself out. The latter process is now the norm. I run clean water through it after every pod, and have run recommended de-scaler through it as recommended, however, the problem still persists.
