Good functionality, easy to use
I purchased this unit for a holiday rental home, because it's important that tenants have access to appliances that are functional and don't need any special maintenance or cleaning. The key feature that I looked for is the integrated milk frothing unit, which is generally done by a separate clunky gadget for many pod-based coffee makers. Used it myself for a week and happy with the results - good coffee and nicely frothed milk. Big plus for a holiday rental is that it cleans the internals of the milk frother automatically after each cup.

Read moree reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the usable but slightly quirky dial-based display menu. I've since purchased the Pro version for my own use primarily because of its touch-screen, which is MUCH easier to use than the dial - but it's also much more expensive than the Plus. The Plus shares a single boiler for both coffee and steam, whereas the Pro is a dual-boiler unit - but the difference really isn't that noticeable, unless you're making coffee for 10 dinner guests. For one or two cups, it's not a major distinguishing factor IMO. Concerning that so many others have had reliability issues with the machine - this review is only one month into ownership of both machines (Plus and Pro) and I'll update it if anything busts loose.Purchased in December 2020 at The Good Guys for $679.00.

Absolutely excellent machine
Before buying the Creatista Plus (our first coffee capsule machine we had a fully automatic coffee machine with built in grinder. The machine brewed good coffee but was big and a mess to clean every time. Ground coffee goes everywhere. Milk frother was inconsistent, pain to clean and eventually stopped working. I swore that the next machine will be easier and less messy to use - and it was!
In Dec 2016 we purchased a Creatista Plus. The Creatista makes life so easy. The pods solution is a clean, no mess, no fuss solution. Coffee is brewed per...
Read morefectly and you can adjust the strength (volume). The milk frother is the star of the show though. It produces cafe quality milk froth, time and time again - so easy. You can select the desired temperature of the milk and froth quantity required. Easy to clean (a simple wipe with a damp cloth after frothing is complete and it has an automatic purge function. The actual nozzle needs to be cleaned from time to time as indicated by the machine - in our case it was necessary about once a month. The process is simple and quick and literally takes 2 minutes. This was hand down the best coffee machine we have ever purchased. Btw, we use only the Nespresso pods, tried some others very early on but the taste and quality of Nespresso pods are simply far superior. A few months back something went wrong with the brewing unit (it was leaking a significant amount of coffee into the used capsule holder). I contacted Nespresso to organise sending it back for repair. Even though the warranty period is 2 years and the machine was way, way past that time period (3.5 years old), Nespresso was willing to repair the machine for free (as long as the fault was not due to abuse or wear and tear). Now, that is fantastic service! Due to COVID, the repair timeframe was a bit longer and basically we did not want to be without a machine for any amount of time since it was the only way to get great coffee. Nespresso offered a (significant) discount on a new machine and I decided to upgrade and get the Creatista Pro, which we are extremely happy with as well. Recently we sent our old Creatista machine in for repair, so that we could have a backup machine and one we can take with on holidays (we cant be without our Nespresso coffee!). We received it back after 4 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period - our 4 year old machine repaired free of charge! That is the best service I have ever seen and gives me so much confidence for using Nespresso machines in the future. Bottom line: The machine is fantastic, makes great coffee and divine froth, and you are backed up with excellent service from Nespresso.Purchased in December 2016 at Harvey Norman.

Great machine when not stuck in descale mode...
My Crestista Plus machine scores 6 out of 5 stars for its glamorous, compact design and ease of use!
However, after just 12 months the electronics ‘died’! The Appliance Shed fixed that up by replacing the mother-board in November 2019.
Then, this June, the appliance malfunctioned in the descale mode, and no matter what the help line told me to do would not come out of this mode! Again, Appliance Shed fixed the problem!
Last month, same problem I had back in June - stuck in descale mode!
I wonder if there is a programming error with this particular model?
My machine is 2 years old now, and I have made 3 trips to the Appliance Shed! ...

Disappointed how the company treats you unfortunate that the coffee is good
Very disappointed. My son bought the machine as a gift and paid full price knowing he would get an $80 coffee credit. When I submitted the credit I didnt hear anything for 3 weeks. When I asked on the online chat I was told it came in a week too late so forget it. Very disappointed that there is nothing you can do. Only 4 weeks to submit a promotion is not really enough time if it is a gift. I used to enjoy the coffee now this has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. :(
Update: company never gets back. The minute they saw it on product revi...

The best you can get, without going full commercial
I'm an avid coffee drinker for most of my life. Although I've gone through "periods" of dripolator, percolator, paper filtered, plunger, bag filter, cup filter and then many years of domestic cappuccino machines, starting with the trusty "Atomic" through to an electric Krups with Krups grinder, nothing beats the shear ease of capsule coffee. My standard Inissia with a milk frother was hard to beat, until.....the BNE800SS.
Using quality capsules, you can have consistently 4.5 to 5 star coffee every time.
With purge cleaning, automated descaling...

Perfect coffee everyday
I've had this machine for just over two years now, as a birthday present from my son.......it's been simply wonderful. I had an older Inissia before with a milk frother, but this new one is so easy to use, and fully adjustable to make coffee just the way you want. With it's self cleaning purge, and large water tank......I can't live without it. Lattes, capuccinos, short or long or even ristretto....this machine dose them all. My son was so impressed, he bought one for himself!!

Weak and warm coffee
We bought one of these machines after having 3 Nespresso pod machines over the last 10 years that we were very happy with (but we were replacing old technology and/or worn out machines).
I was very excited to get this machine and looking forward to the good quality shot with crema Nespresso machines normally deliver.
We returned the first machine as the thermostat stopped working after a few weeks. It worked initially , but the coffee was weak.
We returned the second machine because the coffee was also weak and once again the crema poor in...
Read more comparison to all the other Nespresso machines we’ve owned and the coffee was never really hot. Over time, the temperature of the coffee and milk dropped so we were microwaving it and the milk frothed continually blocked despite soaking it and using the to to clean constantly. I am using aN old second hand Nespresso machine Off gumtree and the coffee is strong and hot again. I am disappointed because I really wanted the automated steam for milk Rather than the milk jug the other models have. JB hifi were excellent with returns and customer service though!Purchased in April 2020 at JB Hi-Fi for $799.00.

Underwhelming and over priced - poor support
This is the second time that this machine has been sent for repairs.
We have had ongoing problems with this machine from the date of purchase.
The only reason we have only returned it for repairs twice is that we are in Western Australia and the process can take up to a month to get it back as it is repaired in NSW.
The machine is used once a day in the morning by a couple – when it works. I was told by Coffee Expert at the call centre I was using the wrong pods - I ONLY used branded Nespresso pods.
The issues with the machine are as follows:

Great Coffee machine
One of the factors influencing my purchase of this model was it's relatively small footprint. But the main reason was it's reputation for making great coffee and we haven't been disappointed.
Easy to use and clean and with Nespresso pods at around 80c for a coffee is a plus.
I have to confess that early in the piece I was annoyed when "maintenance" was required e.g. the steam wand needed cleaning - I wasn't made aware of this at the time of purchase. But once I went through the manual and in fact the screen on the coffee machine actually guides you through the process, it has been a relatively straight forward process.

have had this machine for two years and second time to have REPAIR !
I love my Breville Nespresso Machine BUT = But the pump gets finicky after a few coffee brews--- I clean and maintain/descale to a tee--- I have had it for two years and am sending for repair once again. For the cost I am regretful I paid what I did for this to have these issues now twice. Customer Service sent a box for me to return and because the warranty is up I am sincerely hoping that they fix or send a new one for an over 400 dollar machine !

Sleek design
Recently replaced our basic Nespresso with Brevle Creatista Plus Stainless Steel.
The design is modern and sleek. Looks great on my kitchen bench. I like my coffee hot and this machine has temperature settings. It is easy to use and you can preprogrammed your coffee for example espresso, flat white, cappuccino.
The only downside is the machine is a bit loud.

Absolutely terrible
Thought it would be nice to purchase a coffee machine for our new home, decided on a Nespresso machine because it seemed like a simple way to get a decent coffee ( i mean like how something that seems like such a simple device be so unreliable right ? ).
After looking around at the cheaper machines we were shown a machine by one of the Nespresso reps and was told that this was their “premium” machine.... It was meant to have been made with “better materials that would result in a better coffee and a longer lasting unit” lololol what a load o...
Read moref crap! We moved in 4 months ago and used the machine twice a day and guess what? Our $650 fancy Nespresso machine has decided to stop working! Yes 4 months old and x2 coffees a day... Do you think Nespresso gave a crap when i called them? Nope, get this they wanted me to post it to their service centre via auspost!? Do you realise how big and bulky this machine is? Yeh sure i will put it in an envelope for you lol ridiculous. So tomorrow i need to drive into town myself to make sure that this machine actually gets there in one piece. Do you think being a “premium” machine and one of the most expensive units they sell you would get a loan machine while you wait for your faulty machine to be fixed? Another big fat nope!Purchased in September 2019 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances for $649.00.

Shocking customer service with a faulty machine
Bought the machine for my dad for christmas being a coffee lover. Machine worked for about a week before getting a call that the froth simply isnt there anymore. Being a ex barista i went over to check. Milk at ideal setting wasn't heating the milk it was still cold on the top with no froth.
Called customer service [name removed] told my father to go through the cleaning process which was already done. We were then told your milk wasn't right we had to use shelf or long life milk. In what world is that okay for a top range machine to have no ...
Read morefresh milk. Nevertheless, everything was blames on the milk when the temp and froth settings were out of whack. For the sake of peace of mind we did try a long life milk to no success. When nespresso clearly didn't care to help we went back to Myers for a return.Purchased in November 2019 at Myers for $599.00.

Great product, use it every day
Easy to use and very quick, even when frothing milk. First coffee machine I've owned so I don't have anything to compare it to but I love it.
I'm guessing this machine is like other pod machines: hit and miss until you find a pod that suits your taste.
What I really like about this machine is it's flexibility- use the LCD screen to select the coffee you want and boom, there it is. Handy for when people visit who like dofferent styles of coffee.

LOVE it
Received this as a Christmas gift and absolutely love it. Heat up time is 3 seconds and it's very easy to use. Quiet and quick. Lots of options and the milk function is amazing. All automatic and several temperatures to choose from. I find most of them too cool, so have it set on Very Hot all the time which is perfect. Absolutely love this machine. Slightly on the expensive side so I hope it lasts but so far, very happy. Also is fairly compact which is great for my small kitchen. Nespresso pods are amazing too, as is the service from Nespresso.

Hello! Having problems trying to unscrew the milk frother tip from the actual machine so I can begin the cleaning cycle. It has never been stuck before and no matter how many times I've tried to disconnect it it won't come undone. Have tried it after it was warm and cool.
1 answer
The threaded surfaces are plastic with a very coarse thread pitch - hard to imagine it getting 'glued' with milk residue but maybe that's happened - try soaking the tip in water, to penetrate and soften any residue in the threads. I'd start with hot or boiling water (a drop of kitchen detergent should help) and try again after 15 minutes - and then soak for a day if still stuck. If that doesn't work it'll probably need brute force, using pliers or multi-grips with a strip of leather or vinyl to protect the shiny surface. Too much force could crush the tip - it's not that strong...

Most reviewers positively raved about their Nespresso Creatista’s performance, which made it worth its $799 price. Some purchased multiple units, while others used their pod machine up to eight times daily, with consistently high quality coffee produced each time.
Features:
- Three second heat-up time
- Fully automatic steam wand can create 8 milk texture levels, like thick, creamy milk that’s ideal for latte lovers, as well as silky, micro-froth for cappuccinos
- 11 milk temperature settings
- Three shot functions: risretto (25mL), espresso (45mL) and lungo (110mL)
- Digital display and fully automatic steam wand make this machine easy to use
- Assisting cleaning function makes the steam wand less fiddly to clean
- Includes a stainless steel milk jug and a tasting box of Nespresso capsules.
Points of praise for the Breville Nespresso Creatista:
The Creatista Plus makes customised coffee, which reviewers loved. They could choose the size of their shot, as well as preferred milk thickness and frothiness. This made the Creatista Plus a favourite for all of the family. For example, many reviewers said it catered to their preference for immediately-drinkable coffee, as well as their partner's preference for piping-hot coffee. Kids also enjoyed the hot chocolates, as the Creatista Plus can make milk-only drinks, too.
The quality and consistency of coffee was applauded by reviewers. One reviewer summarised it aptly when they wrote: ‘We use it every day and have never had a bad coffee yet.’ Smooth coffees and silkily-frothed milk were highlights, along with temperature setting which pinpointed the accuracy of coffee quality each time.
Notably easy to use and to clean, the Creatista features an integrated LED display that walks you through every step of the process, while an assisted cleaning function ‘purges’ the automatic steam wand after each use for easier cleaning.
