I have had this machine for approx. two and a half years, (the guarantee is for two years) when the frother started malfunctioning, and I was getting an error message 'attach steam tip'? I use the machine for one coffee a day, occasionally two, and… Read more
it is cleaned and descaled regularly as reminded by the automatically generated message. I contacted Nespresso re this fault, and they were great! I can't fault them. I packed up the machine and took it to the post office to be sent off for repair four days ago, postage is covered by Nespresso. (I had to buy a box and bubble wrap from Bunnings for approx. $6.00). Today I have received notification that it has been fixed and will be delivered back to me today, just in time for the weekend! I have been very happy with my purchase and really impressed that I wasn't out of pocket for the repair, and the quick turnaround. Hopefully my machine will last for many more years.
Follow-up · Frother is working well. Now the motor makes a funny noise when brewing the coffee … and unfortunately it performed perfectly when I rang Breville and did a video call to show them the problem. It continues to make great coffee, but the intermittent motor issues are concerning.
We have been using this machine at work for 3 years and it is still going strong! Coffee is consistent and the machine is easy to use even for the newcomers in the office. Temperature of the end drink is fine. Show details
Wonderful machine for coffee, especially latte’s and cappachino’s with frothed milk. BUT, they have faults which stops the frother working. Ours stopped at 30 months old, just out of Warranty. Nespresso stepped up and fixed it, but roughly 8… Read more
months after, same fault. This seems to be a design/manufacturer fault as it seems many machines suffer the same issue. It gets regularly cleaned and descaled. Again, great machine, but some poor quality issues render them useless.
Follow-up · Nothing has changed, they are a great Nespresso machine, but they just don't last. 2 years Max then the frother fails and repairs seem to be dubious at best. It's a machine issue, it's not cleaning or maintenance.

Be Your Own Barista - Great Coffee, Easy to Use – We purchased the Creatista Plus after we tried the machine at my daughter's home and as we were facing an extended Covid lockdown. We love the ease of use, the quality and range of the Nespresso coffee pods and how easy it is to adjust the temperature of the milk - perfect for hot chocolate. The pop out shelf is great for small coffee glasses. … Read more
Not only does the machine look stylish, it makes good coffee and is very easy to clean. It comes with a stainless steel milk jug and a Nespresso pod sample pack. We love our new coffee machine!
Best Coffee Pod Machine Available! – I upgraded to this model after having a Nespresso Latissimo +. This product is far superior than any other coffee pod machine. It froths milk automatically in record time. The texture, taste and aroma is just like that of your favourite cafe. It's super easy to clean and starts up in less than 3 seconds - perfect for that first coffee of the morning! Show details
Perfect coffee everyday – I've had this machine for just over two years now, as a birthday present from my son.......it's been simply wonderful. I had an older Inissia before with a milk frother, but this new one is so easy to use, and fully adjustable to make coffee just the way you want. With it's self cleaning purge, and large water tank......I can't live without it.… Read more
Lattes, capuccinos, short or long or even ristretto....this machine dose them all. My son was so impressed, he bought one for himself!!
The best you can get, without going full commercial – I'm an avid coffee drinker for most of my life. Although I've gone through "periods" of dripolator, percolator, paper filtered, plunger, bag filter, cup filter and then many years of domestic cappuccino machines, starting with the trusty "Atomic" through to an electric Krups with Krups grinder, nothing beats the shear ease of capsule coffee. My… Read more
standard Inissia with a milk frother was hard to beat, until.....the BNE800SS. Using quality capsules, you can have consistently 4.5 to 5 star coffee every time. With purge cleaning, automated descaling, just wipe the wand and fill'er up. The only thing to watch out for is your caffeine intake. Complete with LED screen for the type and strength of coffee, latte, ristretto, lungo, espresso, you'll never get tired of this marvellous machine. I still keep my old machines, just in case I get some exotic beans, like the "Weasel" Beans I got from Peru, but 99% of the time, for a nice coffee, I reach for my BNE800SS.
Planned obsolescence – We have now owned multiple Breville Creatista machines, and all have failed after 10 to 13 months. Despite very low usage we have found the machines life span is very short and not worth the cost of repairing. I would strongly urge anyone to reconsider buying this machine as it is unreliable and destined (probably designed) to break down a week… Read more
after the warranty expires. What is as disappointing is Brevilles after sale service - it is simply not existent, they push all enquiries off Nespresso who simply don’t care as it is not their reputation in question. Read the reviews - the consensus is this machine is great when new but destined to fail. Save your money and avoid Breville Creatista machines.

This is our second Nespresso Coffee “pod” unit, the previous one worked fine for over 5 yrs and has been used extensively by everyone, so when it came to replace we decided to stick with same unit, cannot complain
Follow-up · The frother works exactly the same as the older version unit so no change, re; capsules we got a few different variations but we got this with first unit, the main difference I can see is the new unit is possibly quicker and a little more quiter

Machine leaks and Nespresso cannot back up the repair – After some years of expereince with the Creatista I need to move on as the build is not good and Nespresso's fix did not last two years. Under warranty a few years back the machine started leaking water profusely beneath itself. Naturally Nespresso had it sent away for repairs and last year two years after the repair the same thing all over again… Read more
and Nespresso fobbed me off as it was out of warranty. My argument was that it was never fit for purpose from the beginning as the same fault should not be reappearing so clearly the Nespresso repairs aren't that good. I have put up with the machine leaking since last year and now it is pouring out the bottom all over again. I do not want to go through this a third time with the same brand whereas I know of Delonghi backing up their repair outside their warranty when the same thing happened twice. Interestingly a repairer did tell me to expect the leaking within a few years even on the most expensive machines simply because the small rubber seels wear down. For me it is about the brand backing up repeated failures of the same type within a reasonable period and the same failure repeating in two years is unreasonable to accept. It speaks to the brand and how they treat their customers. DeLonghi, here I come, don't let me down.
Good functionality, easy to use – I purchased this unit for a holiday rental home, because it's important that tenants have access to appliances that are functional and don't need any special maintenance or cleaning. The key feature that I looked for is the integrated milk frothing unit, which is generally done by a separate clunky gadget for many pod-based coffee makers. Used it… Read more
myself for a week and happy with the results - good coffee and nicely frothed milk. Big plus for a holiday rental is that it cleans the internals of the milk frother automatically after each cup.
The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the usable but slightly quirky dial-based display menu. I've since purchased the Pro version for my own use primarily because of its touch-screen, which is MUCH easier to use than the dial - but it's also much more expensive than the Plus. The Plus shares a single boiler for both coffee and steam, whereas the Pro is a dual-boiler unit - but the difference really isn't that noticeable, unless you're making coffee for 10 dinner guests. For one or two cups, it's not a major distinguishing factor IMO.
Concerning that so many others have had reliability issues with the machine - this review is only one month into ownership of both machines (Plus and Pro) and I'll update it if anything busts loose.
Absolutely excellent machine – Before buying the Creatista Plus (our first coffee capsule machine we had a fully automatic coffee machine with built in grinder. The machine brewed good coffee but was big and a mess to clean every time. Ground coffee goes everywhere. Milk frother was inconsistent, pain to clean and eventually stopped working. I swore that the next machine will… Read more
be easier and less messy to use - and it was!
In Dec 2016 we purchased a Creatista Plus. The Creatista makes life so easy. The pods solution is a clean, no mess, no fuss solution. Coffee is brewed perfectly and you can adjust the strength (volume). The milk frother is the star of the show though. It produces cafe quality milk froth, time and time again - so easy. You can select the desired temperature of the milk and froth quantity required. Easy to clean (a simple wipe with a damp cloth after frothing is complete and it has an automatic purge function. The actual nozzle needs to be cleaned from time to time as indicated by the machine - in our case it was necessary about once a month. The process is simple and quick and literally takes 2 minutes. This was hand down the best coffee machine we have ever purchased. Btw, we use only the Nespresso pods, tried some others very early on but the taste and quality of Nespresso pods are simply far superior.
A few months back something went wrong with the brewing unit (it was leaking a significant amount of coffee into the used capsule holder). I contacted Nespresso to organise sending it back for repair. Even though the warranty period is 2 years and the machine was way, way past that time period (3.5 years old), Nespresso was willing to repair the machine for free (as long as the fault was not due to abuse or wear and tear). Now, that is fantastic service!
Due to COVID, the repair timeframe was a bit longer and basically we did not want to be without a machine for any amount of time since it was the only way to get great coffee. Nespresso offered a (significant) discount on a new machine and I decided to upgrade and get the Creatista Pro, which we are extremely happy with as well.
Recently we sent our old Creatista machine in for repair, so that we could have a backup machine and one we can take with on holidays (we cant be without our Nespresso coffee!). We received it back after 4 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period - our 4 year old machine repaired free of charge! That is the best service I have ever seen and gives me so much confidence for using Nespresso machines in the future.
Bottom line: The machine is fantastic, makes great coffee and divine froth, and you are backed up with excellent service from Nespresso.

Excellent Coffee Machine – I must admit at first I was extremely hesitant to purchase this machine. I was put off by the price and could not justify paying that much for a coffee machine. After using this machine now for nearly 2 years, I don't regret my purchase. It is well made, has many coffee options and better still makes a outstanding cappuccino, coffee level, milk… Read more
froth and temperature are always spot on, far better than many I have had at coffee shops. I use Starbucks by Nespresso capsules, which are readily available at supermarkets and quite often at a discount price. I would not advise using so called Nespresso compatable capsules, I did at first use several brands, only to find that they would often leak. I have never had this problem with genuine Nespresso or Starbuck ones.

Simple to use; delivers great coffees; easy to maintain; cannot fault – Big fan of my daily coffees, but struggled to find time with non coffee pod machines, purchased the above machine and cannot fault; great coffee every time; can make different styles, short; cappuccino, latte etc, the various pods needed can be found just about everywhere, very easy to use; maintain and produces a great coffee in quick time.
Cafe quality – Cafe quality in minutes and mess-free. Just substitute Nespresso pods for more quality pods (such as Urban Brew, intensity 14, which are also compostable pods). Easily adjust the coffee pour, milk temperature and froth level to your desired taste. Show details

Worst customer service ever – Avoid Breville if you can!! I bought their Creatista Plus 7 months ago. I sent it for repair and they refused to repair it claiming roaches have cause the water leak. There are hundreds thread online about the water leak issue. $700 machine broke in 7 months.
Not a quality machine, looks lovely but doesn't last – When paying over $600 for a coffee machine ( it is now $900 something same machine) and only one person in the house uses it max twice a day and not everyday. It should not break down when not even 4 years old. So out of warranty and the milk is not heating up, it will cost over $340 to fix. When I phoned the repairer they said this happens all… Read more
the time with these machines, so clearly a fault that should be fixed by the manufacturers. Another repairer wanted $198 for the courier then not sure what it would cost to fix, may as well buy a new machine. Why are these machines so expensive if they are going to be unreliable and break down. Would not purchase again as waste and don't want anyone else wasting their hard earned money. Breville has referred us to Nespresso so total lack of interest. Breville used to be a good brand but clearly should not make coffee machines that are expensive and don't last.
Great research, poor product development – Work fantastic, when it works. Not sure if this is a Nespresso design, or a Breville design. Whoever it is, research team done a good job with frothing recipes in delivering great texture, a truly engineering marvel. However, it fell into a crappy product development team, where component selection had zero concern for product reliability and… Read more
longevity. For example, one of the critical components in making great froth is a pressure sensor. It just didn’t last. The pressure pulses damaged this sensor, causing it to stay at high pressure, that in turns signaling wand blocking, hence ‘Clean Steam Wand’.

Certainly not worth the money - it will break and Breville/Nespresso are not interested in helping – This machine started playing up by not stretching the milk. It has two phases in the first phase stretches the milk the second heats the milk. You will get an issue with one of these two phases and the Nespresso help line will insist the machine is sent to a service centre for repair. However they will not provide costs for shipping or repairs, or… Read more
advise if the machine will be sent back if you choose not to go ahead with repairs due to excessive cost. All of the customer service representatives I have spoken with 5+ all read off scripts , struggle with basic english and are simply not across the product the service repair centre locations.
As you can see from the reviews below - Breville and Nespresso have no genuine interest in dealing with any customer feedback.
Keep the box, you'll need it – I bought one of these less than a year ago and already had it repaired twice by Nespresso. Now that they are no longer able to repair it, I'll be getting my money back. They offered to replace it and maintain the 1 WEEK of warranty. Not interested in being ripped off. Nespresso told me (more than a few times) that Australian law does not fit… Read more

DO NOT BUY! Very faulty product – We got our Creatista Plus in June 2021. Three months later, we started having problems with it - not heating the milk properly, not frothing, didn't sound right. Returned it to Nespresso - they replaced the pump. It then worked fine until now - it has the same issues as before, but the two year warranty expired exactly FIVE WEEKS ago. I rang… Read more
Nespresso, they advised that the replacement pump had a 6 month warranty. My options now are: Pay flat repair fee of $335, which includes postage of machine to Nespresso and return, and a 6 month repair warranty. The other option is buy a new machine from Nespresso for $709 (Members price). The full RRP is $949. Stupidly, I bought another Creatista machine because we love the coffee and it's super easy to use, I made sure I got a 5 year warranty on it. It has already developed the same fault and it's barely 2 months old. DO NOT BUY!!
Great pod machine – This is a consistent performer... I wish that Nespresso would show what they put in their coffee pods... I am aware that caramel is added to some and I think an emulsifier is added to others? Show details

Constant problems – This is the second Creatista machine in 5 years as well as numerous smaller Nespresso machines. Purchased in February 2021 and still under warranty, it is constantly showing "attach steam tip" code, which was surprising as the frother is only used twice a day. After online searching of possible causes, I purchased a new tip from Nespresso, reset… Read more
the factory settings and descaled the machine. The error code continued, so I entered into a live chat with Nespresso. It was confirmed a repair was necessary and taking into account posting the machine back, repair centre turnaround and delivery back would be approximately 3 weeks. Leading into Christmas this was not viable as we are a business. In the past Nespresso customer service was second to none. They would loan a machine, pick up your repair by courier and return in a quick time frame. I am aware that due to Covid restrictions loan machines may not be an option, but when I responded " I will purchase a separate frother and never buy another Nespresso machine again, the reply was " okay, sorry about that - Have a lovely day." I have been a member of Nespresso since 2017 and regularly purchase their pods and up to now have been happy with their customer support, so I was completely shocked to be handled in such a dismissive manner and no other solution offered.
Refused warranty. Broken heating system and steam wand – Machine is 6 months old. Does not heat and steam wand completely stopped working. been using the nespresso capsules they were just ordered under a different account. I told them I can even prove with an invoice that I bought nespresso capsules. They will do anything to get out of warranty. Sunbeam support and delongi support are so much better stay away from breville
My coffee mate – A good little machine, was reliable until 12 months in then it went wild - leaking from the base - but the Nespresso's collect and return program had it back to me in a month. It's used every day multiple times so having a fit after approaching 1000 coffees isn't bad. Noisy, reliable, easy to use, demands maintenance every 6 months or so, makes great coffee...enough said. Ahh morning coffee was never better – My husband and I enjoy our morning coffee. This machine is easy to use and requires little maintenance compared to our previous machines. This was very easy to do by just following the on screen prompts. The cost… Read more

Terrible Lemon of a machine – Like a previous reviewer, I purchased this machine from Good Guys in June 2021.It must have been a very bad month at the factory as our machine is the same type of lemon others have described. My daughter has one that works, so I do know they can be good, and can only surmise that this batch has something terribly wrong or it was Friday afternoon… Read more
at the factory. Our machine worked well for a couple of months, then started making soap-like bubbles and not heating the milk no matter what setting we used.We rang the product help line and the woman talked us through the settings before deciding we needed another steam tip.We waited for that to arrive, coffee-less, but hopeful, and found it made no difference at all.Rang again, waited ages again to be answered, got told it had to be sent in for repair. We live out of town and I work, so a trip to the post office is difficult to arrange.Went without coffee as we awaited it’s return with fingers crossed. Shortly after it came back, with the drip tray now broken during its time away, it started just frothing milk all over the kitchen and being cold or warm on a whim.Rang again, waited ages on the phone again, got told it had to be sent back AGAIN. Packed it up, tried to organise time off for another trip to the post office, dreamed about a cup of coffee without having to hose down the kitchen. It came back again, drip tray replaced- woo, made a few cups of coffee with an uneasy sense of dread. You guessed it- milk foaming all over the kitchen, bubbles everywhere, lukewarm coffee.Have rang again, been told it has to go back again, but haven’t received a postal label yet, so another weekend has gone by with only the bitter disappointment of stick coffee. I don’t think I can take it again. Not without proper coffee. It’s spent more time at the repair centre than in our kitchen. We’ve been through endless milk and coffee and packing tape and petrol. Our spirits are broken. Please just send us a new machine from a different batch that isn’t a lemon!
Waste of Money – Bought this from the Good Guys 22/6/2021. Loved all the settings available however it was loud, and I mean LOUD. Within 3 months the milk frothing wand stopped working (wouldn't heat the milk even when on the hottest setting and started making loads of air bubbles instead of lovely textured milk) so after troubleshooting, raised a case with… Read more
Concierge 2/10/21. After fighting with Concierge due to their sheer lack of communication and being without the machine while it gets "fixed" fast forward to 18/11/2021 and I finally receive a call that they are refunding me the money for the faulty machine and the concierge. All my appliances are Breville so expected quality for the price tag however this was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. Now I am trying to find something to replace it.
Fantastic machine – I love our Creatista Plus. It gets used several times a day without any problems. I've only used the Nespresso coffee pods in it which I'm very happy with. A bit expensive, but a few years in it's paid for itself. Show details
My daily Cuppa Coffee – Very satisfied with the overall product! Brilliant functionality, beautiful design and an amazing texture. Love the black truffle look! Best purchase made, in fact an investment for the entire house!
Nice and easy to use – I bought another model in another brand before. The previous one broke down twice and then I was introduced to the Breville model. The machine has been running well until now for about 1.5 years. It is easy to clean and use. The instructions on the screen are clear and everyone is able to make a cup of good coffee at home.
