Trading unlicensed and insolvent – This bloke has been trading unlicensed in QLD since Jan 2023. Has had many many directions from QBCC to rectify defective work, then he goes and sets up somewhere else in QLD under a different name where nobody knows him yet. Trades insolvent and needs to wait for the next sucker to pay him money so he can purchase materials for the half finished jobs he has on the go
Poor work ethic – When we enquired we had great communication, booked in a date and the concrete was poured. After the concrete was poured and job was paid he kept making false promises for the unfinished job he left us. The job was messy, concrete was spattered everywhere. So much concrete had gone into the pool which was a hassle to deal with, rubbish and cans… Read more
were left all around. Our biggest issue was that he had not done the skimmer lid concreting properly. He only made a concrete tile piece but it was not attached to a base and had no way of it being lifted. The concrete tile cracked in order for us to get access to the skimmer box. He kept making false promises that he will come and fix it, or he was waiting for a piece to come from somewhere. Every time we contacted he either did not reply or gave us a timeframe of when he will come and fix it but would never show. We have been waiting for this issue to be resolved from July 2023 and until now it has not. Our concrete has already cracked as well. Honestly, find someone else to do concreting job.

Be very cautious – Seems like a good operator when quoting and even when framing up and pouring. Slab was poured 21 Sep 23. This review is being written on 23 Dec 23 and its still not done. He appears to work with no cash float or budget. Demands immediate invoice payment so he can buy the cement.. Left a 6m rubbish skip in our front yard for 2 weeks. We contacted… Read more
the skip company and they said he isnt great with paying his bills. He broke a window in our house. We had to pay to have it repaired and it took 8 weeks of chasing him to get payment from him and it was a cash advance from a credit card. Once he receives final payment he is a ghost. I would hold at least 25% until he is actually finished. Still waiting of QBCC certification ... not expecting anything positive there. Will report that to QBCC.
Now the actual job. He has no regard for your property. There is concrete, griding dust, griding slop, rubbish, timber and other crap everywhere in my yard. He left a full sheet of reo mesh and an old car tire in my yard for 8 weeks before i walked it out to his truck and handed them to him. Soft drink cans thrown everywhere. Windows , sheds, pool pump gear, raised garden beds all splashed with concrete and slops. No attempt to prevent the damage or to clean it up. Stormwater drains blocked due to the grinding slops going into the drain and solidifying. Decorative stones stained and beyond recovery Pool full of actual concrete due to poor pouring techniques. Then pool refilled with grinding slops. Also pieces of steel reo mesh dropped in the pool with no care and no attempt to get them out. Rust stains in the pool as a result. Reo in the slab was not raised/lifted during the pour. The pool fence installers made note of this when drilling holes for fence spiggots. Large cracks appeared within days of the pour. " Just surface cracks" and "all concrete cracks" are his answers. They are deep cracks that go right through to the bottom of the slab. No finishing up on the pool surround I spent hours in the pool chipping off concrete around the trim. Not all holes have been filled and sealed. Those that have been are done badly and the seal doesnt match. Steps not rounded. Left at a sharp 90 degree angle from the formwork so now they look crap and are brittle. Claims he has "finished the job" . I have contacted him now for advice on tools and products that I need to aquire to complete the job.
Cheaper isn't always better, check for certifications and dont pay that final bill until you are happy. This guy is cheap and nasty.
