Brighter Super failed to action an electronic request via ATO to transfer a Super Balance - the reason being that they were using an email address that was 3 years old, due to admin errors at their end. [Content Removed] failed to act, it expired and my electric request sits in limbo. To resolve this [Content Removed] told me to do it manually...I have now spent over 10 hours on multiple phone calls and submission of manual forms to meet the matrix of roadblocks that Brighter Super have put up. Each time I provide the details, a new barrier is invented - each time I lose a week as they take a week to action emails. I am still going 7 months after initial request and super still not transferred. Inefficient and unhelpful. Thank goodness for having my own SMSF.
Would rate lower if I could. Had plenty of proof that I requested my 2 funds (that they could not explain as to why a second had been set up) to be rolled into the one as I wanted it all in the High growth option. due to me not seeing one email that I needed to then go into and print and sign or some nonsense it was never done nor was did anyone pick up on it as to why I had two. Even after I had talked to a FA and confirmed I wanted ALL my super into one account years ago and all High growth option. It was still never picked up. Anyway, they only came back with an offer of refunding some minimal fees within the last financial year, and only from when they changed their fee structure of course so very little back (less than 100). No acknowledgment of what I had missed due the larger amount of money I had sitting in this other account that was not moved over to the Higher growth option. Another issue - continually having signing in issues, constantly. Using same log on and password details, some days just can not log on. Another day fine, with same login details I've always had.
Requested a rollover in latter part of Feb 2025. So no acknowledgement of the request. Go back after being overseas for a month and followed up on the request, Request had been closed. Was told the rollover to be reactivated and a letter from the ATO be provided. Same was provided on request. Called back a day later, only to be told more… Read more
information is required and the request for the rollover has not been reactivated. Totally poor service. With the recent Dump matter Supper is taking a hit with the help of Brighte Super. Could not leave a true reflection opinion of the service delivery.

Although the consultant Michelle, couldn't provide what I needed, she explained the rules, regulations and why that wasn't possible. Now I know. Also provided me some links to review, future presentations on the Gold Coast (which is absolutely brilliant) and set up a meeting with another consultant to go through and tweak my salary sacrifices that I'm undertaking with Brighter Super. Had a great catch up with my Brighter Super Account Manager recently. I really loved the way he explained how my Super works for me and informed me on tools and calculators to use and steps to take to get the best advice and outcome for my future retirement.
I have had the pleasure of having Peter Hoban as my Brighter Super account manager for several years, I have always found Peter very professional, well versed and extremely responsive to any inquiry I have placed with him.
Peter, as an Account Manager, is first class. Had a really in-depth conversation on superannuation, status of my account for my age, investment options, and how to decrease my and my partner's expense ratio. Brighter Super is a great super company. I couldn't recommend them more.

I had a team's meeting with Peter to discuss my Super and transitioning to retirement. Peter was excellent and explained things in simple terms. He was very clear that he couldn't give advice but provided different options Brighter Super offered. He has also booked me in for a Super health check which will be more specific to what funds I will need for retirement and lifestyle. Overall, I was very pleased with our meeting.

Was a good introductory for a health check, with some clarification I needed to best manage my super. The only thing I'd point out personally Wayne is that you perhaps speak a little slower, otherwise very informative and polite.
