Battery Replacement – We bought Brita Maxtra last January 2018 or December 2017, and now the battery is not working anymore. I have seen 2 people posted about it, and mentioned that it should work for 5 years. Anyway, we're in the process of replacing the battery. Hope it will work.
Purchased in at Woolworths Physical store.
Good for poor tasting water like Perth – I've always been hesitant about jug water filters but the water in Perth tastes quite unpleasant and this jug was on sale for $21 so I thought little to lose and it had a 3 cut price filters to go with it. I've been surprised and happy with it, the water tastes better, my electric jug isn't going brown and it filters quite fast its not doing anything special but making the water taste as good as bottled water in my opinion. I'm careful about doing the 2 cartridge rinses and cleaning the jug properly I also have another glass jug I keep filled with the filtered water. The only aspect I don't like is the jug is made of a brittle material and the top didn't fit properly and so a couple of stress fractures have occurred near the handle but its fine. The little electronic counter works okay but I guess one day its battery will die and I'll have to put a date in my phone to replace the cartridge. Good for camping good for using instead of buying bottled water. Remember this filter is only good if the water out of the tap has been declared potable or drinkable its not a miracle worker.
