Brivis StarPro 6 Star SP623EN

Had no problems until a thunderstorm – Had this unit installed 11 years ago. In that time we had an error message come up once until recently. This was quickly resolved. Recently e had to turn on the ducted heating due to a sudden cold day and copped an error message. This seemed to resolve itself after a few minutes. A few days later we were hit with another cold day so I turned on the heater only for the same error message to appear. This time the problem did not resolve itself and we had to call for a technician to come. The technician told us that there were burn marks on a component caused most likely by power fluctuations during a recent thunderstorm. It's unfortunate that these costly systems don't have strong surge protection built into them. The technician disconnected the unit as he believed it to be a fire hazard if we attempted to turn it on again. Guess what it turned cold again for a few days. By this time I had come down with Covid. Really needed a heater.

No problems ever – I purchased a new 6 star brivis to replace an old brivis unit (24 years old ) . I heard all the horror stories of the problems with these new networker controllers, so I bought the unit stating that I wanted, the most basic controller ,has only 4 buttons to operate .Fantastic.
Purchased in for $7,200.

Died in 4 years, unable to repair – Liked this while it lasted. But died and the AU post sales service is zero. Do not recommend.
