Mum has used brooks shoes since breaking and badly dislocating her ankle 20 years ago. She loves them and they’re the only shoes she wears. Mum unfortunately lost her home in bushfires abs Brooks very generously donated two new pairs of shoes to her. Thank you Show details
Australia - I had a minor issue with shoes made in China after always having their ones from Vietnam. I emailed them ONLY with an FYI, not having a whinge and not asking for anything. They sent me new stuff. That's top service. Yes, maybe the Addiction etc are now more lightly made than before and I prefer Beast and hope the quality does… Read more
not drop on them - but I have to say Brooks Australia customer service is GREAT. Lots of poor reviews here, not my experience in April 2025.
Not genuine sales – In 2023 I had a great experience with Brooks. I bought 2 pair of Ghost runners on sale on the Black Fiday sale. They are so comfortable but the tread is wearing out. I tried to buy more at the 2024 Black Friday sale but they only had one size available!((12) I've since tried clicking on sale ads on facebook and still always one size available. These ads are false advertising and I am now looking for a more reputable brand of shoe. Disappointing.
Brooks shoes are now poorly made rubbish – Poor quality. No customer service. Will never buy again. Purchased Brooks Ghost 15 in June 2024 for $250. I’m a heel-toe runner, so the heels absorb the most impact. I was running on a treadmill once a week and walking outside once a week. Within 5 months the upper sole area was wearing thin. Then, they developed a split across this section. Athletes Foot submitted a complaint to Brooks. After 7 weeks, nothing has happened. Show details
Terrible customer service for manufacturing defects – Don't expect to receive proper customer service if your shoe has a fault. I bought a pair of Brooks Ghost Max directly off Brooks website in Aug-24 and the upper of the shoe tore in less than 4 months of normal running and very occasional sporting activity so clearly not 'fit for the purpose which it is commonly used' nor 'safe, durable and free… Read more
from defects' - therefore is protected under the Australian Consumer Law.
I contacted customer service and their representative [Name Removed] made a unilateral determination that this was not a manufacturing defect because I had used it for occasional sports which have side to side movement so would not be offering a refund. Is it really fit for purpose or safe if runners can't withstand occasional side to side movement without bursting? [Name Removed] never directly addressed any of the evidence and stopped responding after 2 emails as she was clearly out of her depth. Ironic that I'd have gotten better service if I had bought off one of the major retailers such as Rebel Sport or Athletes Foot - lesson for the future.
The problem is that it looks like distribution and management rights for Brooks in Australia seem to be controlled by a domestic private company Texas Peak Pty. Ltd. and owned by private individuals [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] who probably care more about profit maximisation and don't have the same service standards as the global Brooks brand owner and therefore are not a good custodian of the brand.
This experience has turned me off Brooks runners and I'll be switching brands from now on.
Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 2E Mens Running Shoes Black US 9. Great disappointment – Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 2E Mens Running Shoes Black US 9 PLU: 66420403 Colour: Black Size: US 9 Purchase date: 29/09/2024, Perth, Australia. Retailer: Rebel. Complaint: I love Brooks, but my last purchase (see above) was a mistake. This shoe is stiff and does not absorb shocks. My Adrenaline GTS 22, is so much better. I hope Brooks will improve this item in their production line. Show details
Unacceptable timeframe to deliver/refund. Stock not updated – Stock is not updated on the website. Ordered on 07/08/2024. Received an email informing that the shoes I ordered was out of stock on 08/08/2024. The customer service offered the other model. Followed up on 12/08/2024 if my order was delivered. There was no response. On 19/08/2024 - submit the contact form on their website, and I was told the other… Read more
shoes they offered me was also out of stock. After 12 days, I was told my order would be refunded in the next 3-5 business days. Very disappointing!
Gaslighting at its best - Waiting 6 weeks and counting for order to arrive – Ordered shoes in May 24, but they were too small so returned via Australia Post with tracking number requesting a larger size. Still waiting for shoes to arrive and it’s the 30th July. Have emailed multiple times requesting the same shoe but in a larger size, only received a response today saying they want to know what colour I want ……again replied with the request for the same shoe just in a larger size.
Hole in toe – Brooks shoes are very Comfortable as I have lower arch and find them really good , However for some reason all the shoes I have had tends to develop a hold near the toe., this happens very quickly like within the first 6 months of use, for this reason I will give them a pass. Brooks Levitate - UNRELIABLE SIZING – I've been wearing Brooks Levitate for 8 years - UNTIL NOW! Recently bought my usual size 9 womens online but after only 2 days they were pinching my toes and I could no longer wear them. Usually their size 9 had plenty of room, but now you cannot rely upon their sizing. Brooks refused to replace them. Be warned, it is now unwise to purchase… Read more
Brooks Levitate online without first trying them on, because their sizing FLUCTUATES WITH EACH PAIR!!! What sort of shoe manufacturer does this? The trouble is they make them in different countries, with (obviously) different measurements. Don't touch Brooks Levitate - sadly, they're now unreliable.
Comfortable & great support but upper quality dubious – I have had my Brooks Adrenalines 22 for 3 months and after 2 months they began to develop holes in the material above the left toe. After 2 1/2 months the right to also began to fray. I am 70 years old and I don't kick footballs, just walk. And yes I do lift my feet! These are supposed to be top of the line shoes. It seems that the quality of… Read more
shoes is ever decreasing in order to sell more shoes. If companies want people to adhere to a brand because of comfort and support they have to get the quality of all parts of the shoe right. Not everybody can afford a new pair of Books Adrenaline every 3 months!
That said, I do appreciate and thank Running Warehouse for offering to replace them.
A postscript to this:
I have since purchased a pair of Brooks Cascadia trail shoes and they are great!
I did end up putchasing them from Wildfire Sports in Milton after Running Warehouse again messed up my order and if you are looking for shoes, or anything else for that matter with regards to outdoor use, then I highly recommend them being processed from Wildfire Sports.
No shoes – I ordered shoes online, they charged my card and a week later they sent an email saying they did not have them in stock, I went back to the website and they were still available online. I asked for other suggestions but received no reply. The refund was a bit slow.
Ordered it on line and they never sent it out but billed my credit card – Before I placed an order online I phoned up Brooks Claremont store to see if they had it in stock and they said no but the Joondalup store has stock and if you place an order on line they will take the stock from that Perth store and I'll have it a few days later. I placed the order and they billed my credit card straight away. I have phoned them… Read more
and they said they would get back to me ASAP well no they have not. I've emailed them and nothing.
I had an email stating that I would be sent an email to say its on its way along with a tracking number which never came.
How can they bill me straight away then forget about the order. Disgraceful. Coles and Woolies on line only bill the card once it goes out. This reminds me of Rivers where after 18 months I never received my shirts and down $120.
