stage offering to pay the $4,000 owing as I felt out of my depth to continue …however with slick sales teams from Rawson Homes ringing and offering “supporting reassurance “ I was coerced and went ahead .. my biggest regret to date Note… with Rawson Homes everything that is a basic inclusion in other spec homes was considered a “prestige option” with Rawson Homes! My issues still to date are— For example the following are ongoing issues to date three years from the build . Have to reach past my shower head to turn on the taps on both bathrooms … ? Why did there design team fail to identify this would be an issue that is so annoying ?…very surprising oversight given “ Rawson Homes sold themselves continually as superior builders”… … have a warped back door replaced three times and is still warped as they use wooden door frames instead of aluminium frames as used by the majority of builders to get a perfect seal … my front door ring camera is placed poorly so it looks sideways instead of front on… no steps down supplied outside laundry door… exhaust fans super noisy in bathrooms and kitchen … single toilet upstairs so small it’s difficult to get in and shut the door … ensuite toilet still doesn’t flush properly despite three reviews by them… the kitchen layout is so poor as guided by there staff will have to renovate to achieve a practical space…I was given gas bottles for my hot water when everything else in the house is electric .. so expensive and Rawson Hones refused to change the hot water system to electric… I was sent to an independent company for floor and tile selection that has lead to poor floor choices that scratch easily despite being the most expensive hybrid…and bathroom design and tiles are abysmal .. a friend has commented my bathrooms “look like train station toilets” … as I was assisted in colour selection by a very young woman who assured me the selection was popular and timeless… she clearly had no design experience in retrospect …the colour choices regret to this day is endless… all power points and light switch placements are poor after being guided by a young woman working for Rawson Homes… I was given four hours to make all my interior and exterior choices crazy considering it was a whole house … I was not supported with information regarding outdoor spaces after electing to do landscaping and driveway independently from Rawson Homes so we were left unaware of the council regulations… so we currently have a “partial occupancy certificate “ only!!… despite being reassured when signing up Rawson homes they would support and see the build completed to full occupancy !. Endeavours for support have been met by Rawson Homes with a legal response referring to clauses and legal jargon “ you signed the contract” so Rawson homes aren’t responsible to rectify anything further .. the contracts that were signed were done in good faith after being advised everything is a standard and there was nothing to worry about ! My strong suggestion is to go to McDonald Homes or Mojo etc who actually build consistently on the Central Coast
