BEST B&B in the Southern Highlands - 5 Star – Truly outstanding 5-star B&B experience... have now stayed there 4 times and it gets better if anything. This is more like a 5-star Hotel Experience but in a B&B price range. The Lodge is a magnificent Mansion with dedicated private accommodation - not poky little bedrooms in an ordinary residential house. The rooms are huge (most 30 sqm+) PLUS balcony, modern bathrooms with rainshower and adjustable rail shower (some with spas), flat-screen TVs, your own kitchenette and large comfortable beds. The Lodge is on 1.5 hectares, surrounded by pines and hedges and completely private, the only sounds come from the prolific wildlife. The owner Ruth Moncrief prepares sumptuous breakfasts, including fresh health foods, your personal hot-cooked selection, and fresh bread home-baked every day. What really sets this place apart is the home-away-form home feeling .. it is completely relaxed, no stress and you have the run of the entire house including lounge rooms, dining rooms, entertainment rooms, huge verandah with outdoor settings and more than an acre of garden parkland.

We looked at all the accommodation in Bundanoon and one of the big things that sets this apart from the others is it is on the other side of the hill from the railway line - so no rail noise. Yet it's an easy walk to the village, and Bundanoon is right on the edge of the Moreton National Park, Fitzroy Falls and many other attraction only minutes away. It's also 10 minutes from dozens of other villages and attractions like Red Cow Gardens, Exeter Village, Sutton Forrest, Burrawang, Robertson etc. and 10-15 minutes from the major tourist centres like MossVale and Berrima. Our car trip meter showed it was 1.5 hours and 128km from Parramatta... the easiest drive to a getaway destination from Sydney we've done.
