First of all it tastes nothing like a real cherry ripe bar. This has a drier, artificial sugary coconut taste. It's a shame since the rum and raisin flavour chocolate bar is really delicious. Show details

Very, very sweet – This was far too sweet for my taste. It hardly tastes of chocolate at all, more like flavoured sugar. It didn't seem very close to the flavour of a cherry ripe. I won't be buying it again  Show details

I can’t stop eating it – I absolutely loved it! The balance of cherry, chocolate and coconut is heaven I’m neither here or there for cherry ripe usually but this block of choc is next level yum Show details

Cherry rip off – This block of chocolate contains no cherries what so ever. It is made with cherry jelly. This jelly total is 20% on the ingredients list. The jelly is made of 6% cherry juice. So let's say there is 20 grams of cherry jelly present in the block then you get 1.2 grams of cherry juice. What a rort. Loaded with sugar 48.9 grams of sugar per 100 grams. The block is only 180 grams so that is abhorrent amount of sugar. Show details

I love it! – I'm a big Cherry Ripe fan and I typically don't like Old Gold but I thought I'd try it. I think this is fantastic. It tastes very similar to Cherry Ripe, but with a bit more emphasis on the chocolate and less on the filling. I like that! If you want more filling just get an actual Cherry Ripe. I typically don't like Old Gold's dark chocolate but… Read more

the sweetness of the filling combines with the chocolate in a way that makes it all go so nicely together. Not sure what everyone's talking about with the coconut - I don't notice that. This is delicious in my opinion and also a little reminiscent of Cadbury's Marvellous Creations. A job well done and I will definitely be buying more.

I like it – In response to other reviews... Yes there's a lot of coconut, but so does the small Cherry Ripe bars. There's not many cherry pieces, the small bars don't have much either. I don't find this big block to be as sweet as the individual bars. It's a block of chocolate, with chocolate and cherry pieces... exactly as advertised and pictured on the… Read more

wrapper. Yes it's a bit different but it's still good. But if you want coconut that's not mixed through the chocolate go and buy an individual Cherry Ripe bar.

Very dissapointed – There's lots of coconut which spoils the texture and very little cherry. After a couple of pieces I'm considering throwing the rest of the block out, it's that dissapointing. Show details

What have they done to the Cherry Ripe Chocolate – The new Old Gold Cherry Ripe chocolate bar is a dismal reflection of the original small bar. It's overly sweet, full of coconut and no cherry bits to speak of. If you want a larger Coconut Rough, you've found it. Show details
