principal and interest in any respect whatsoever. For the past four months I have not been able to make contact with Ancha and can only conclude that he and his company have gone underground. I initially had compassion for Ancha in his struggles but it appears to have been misplaced. My recommendation is don't risk your money with purchases from this business.

excuse for his shortcomings. He would not provide me with tracking details as he claimed there was. He kept giving us false hope and false information. He also ordered in the wrong chairs for us even after i requested he send us a photo of them out of fear of this exact scenario and he didn't. Eventually he said that he is unable to send them to Sydney (after we paid for shipping too) and offered to refund us our money. We have now been trying to get this "refund" off him for the past 4 weeks and he's just an absolute Liar! We threatened to take legal action and have NSW Fair Trading interfere if he didnt pay within the week. Claimed he was going to pay on the Friday. Then completely ignored it. I told to him at least send us half the amount ( $245) Now he's telling me that "when he has the money he will send it". I find it so hard to believe that someone can't even send $245 which is only half the amount, over the course of 4 weeks. He is a scam!!!

Now we are taking legal actions and nsw fair trading will be interfering. I highly recommend everyone to report him to fair trading because he will be fined for this and forced to pay back all the money he took.

Follow Up to CANE JAVA – Further to my original post I can tell you this place does not exist. The storage facility in Dandenong is only full of containers, yes he has one there but they will not let him have it until he pays back rental. Melbourne is vacant land on a Industrial estate. So do not waste your time and energy and money on trying to track him down, he has many many names he goes under. But I would ask you contact Gumtree and ask they remove him, I have done so, sent all relevant copies from here to them but they have done nothing.

custom ordered and they have stopped replying to my messages, emails and phone calls. I chased up their google details and it seems the address is no longer accurate also. I served a letter of demand but I'm not confident the addresses supplied to ACN and ASIC are relevant anymore. I won't give up on hunting them down and their details removed from Facebook.

Terrible business! Do not buy from this company – It is not really a company. Ancha begged me to purchase through Cane Java, I paid in full and three months later still no product. Java Cane and other names – This company is a scam but they do have a small shop in Wellington St Collingwood Vic. The address in Dandenong nth is a storage facility only stores junk. He expects everyone to pay first and then you never see him again. He is on Gumtree under the name... anchadsyah 0406660708 tel. business is nothing but a scam to steal your money. How they are allowed to keep their website and Facebook page open when they are trading as an illegitimate business is beyond me. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Avoid this business – Unfortunately I read the review too late. I have ordered an egg chair custom made from this company. Received invoice, paid and was going to take a month to receive the item. Unable to contact company on the phone now and all email addresses bounce back except one. Now read the owner has fled back to the Philippines. I will take this further but hoping someone else might see this and stop them wasting and losing their money.

Then, despite being promised on 24 September the Cairns order would be delivered 10 October, a notification on 7 October the sofa would not make the deadline, required me to make a second refund.

To date a $600 refund from Cane Java of $2,600 owing was paid on 18 October - nothing has been paid since.

Cane Java has ignored a magistrate's statement of claim and have been served with a court judgment to pay for non-supply of goods plus costs which will now cost over $3,100.

It's bad enough if vendors don't meet your deadline but failing to refund for non-supply is unethical and illegal.

Update: The director of Cane Java has left Australia for the Phillipines. The company's ASIC address (a home) has been rented to new tenants. The listed address on Google My Business does not exist at 2/15 Greens Rd, Dandenong. The pickup address showing on Facebook as 45 Venture Court, Dandenong is a couple of shipping container boxes. There are two or three cane chairs outside one container boxes. It is NOT a shop. The street address of Storax, 142 Frankston-Dandenong Road, Dandenong is a storage warehouse like Wilson Storage.
