Very good printed products for the price – I saw an ad online for this company and decided to sign up to their emails and give them a try with some fairy photos I had of my grandchildren. I took advantage of a special offer. It was $1.99 for a 16x20 in canvas. That's 41cmx51cm so quite a decent size. Postage of course was extra but still only $14.95, so all in all, a bargain. I don't know how they do it for the price! I ordered in Aug 2022, so just a few months ago. This is one product where it pays to look out for specials as they have regular special offers.
CREATING: The online process of creating my canvas was easy. Once you upload a photo, you do have a chance to edit it. This can be in the form of zooming in or out, changing the orientation of the canvas or rotating the photo. If you zoom in, you can then move the photo around, up & down etc till it is positioned as you want it. It would be useful to be able to control the amount of zoom along a continuum.
At the end of the process, you can also choose (at an extra price) to have someone in the company check your upload before it is printed, to remove red eye and make sure no important parts of the photo are cut off etc. I never chose that option as I was confident from the preview that the photo was as I wanted it.
I did not need to edit the photo as it was high resolution, taken by a professional photographer and I was happy with the finished appearance on screen.
The program shows you very clearly where the red line is, and the part inside is the part that will show in the finished product. The rest of it is the part that will be on the sides of the canvas. (I will show you a photo of how it looks online.) This didn't really affect my photos but there are other canvas programs out there, with different companies, that offer both wrap around and what they call reverse image. That just means if you want all of your photo on view, including the edges, it will do that and the wrap around section will be a reverse image of what is near the edges at the front. It is very effective.
I have taken one star off as I think this option would be useful for some people but it is not available. You also cannot brighten or darken photos. So in summary, the program is easy to use but could be refined to include more features.
POSTAGE My orders arrived quickly and were well packaged. No complaints.
FINISHED PRODUCT. For the price, it was extremely good. It came out a matte finish rather than gloss and colours were true. The actual finished product was pleasing but I have had another canvas photo from a different company where the quality of the actual canvas was very obviously better. That particular company though normally charges well over $100 for this size of print so I guess you get what you pay for.
All in all, I was extremely pleased with my purchase.
The first two attached photos show how it appears online and the final two show actual size and how it appears once made into a canvas.
