Crap – Terrible service. Gave me the wrong color carpet. On a house I’m just about to sell . Never will use this company again

We could not decide on exact carpet or color so the Store was happy to let us have some samples for a few days in order to make our minds up.

Selected a Tuftmaser Carpet in 60oz on 10mm underlay. Pricing of Carpet, Laying and Removal / Disposal of existing Carpet was very good too.

Met the actual Carpet Layer (Dylan) at the Store, when we were trying to decide which carpet, and had the Carpet laid in two stages - rear of house, followed by front of house a few days later. The Carpet Layer was on time and very polite.

We are very happy that we chose Carpet World and had a excellent experience from initial enquiry through to having the Carpet laid.

Terrible, do not use – I would not recommend this company to anyone, they will take your money and run. They are the most unhelpful and unprofessional company. Terrible. Don't Trust! – Hired to supply and install wild river timber flooring (Engineered Oak Flooring). Uneven, hollow spots, squeaks in multiple places. Sales rep came to have a look and advised was going to get the layer to come back, this was many months ago, is now MIA and not returning calls or messages.

Buyer Beware Timber Flooring – There are no product specifications for their Engineered Timber Flooring making a warranty claim extremely difficult if not impossible. And If you purchase a new home with their flooring installed they may refute the transfer of warranty from the original owner to you. I have now been threatened with legal action if I do not remove this review.

BUYER BEWARE! – BUYER BEWARE! NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM CARPET WORLD! We were sold the exact same carpet for 2 homes with a 8 year warranty. The product was FAULTY from day one! They won't call us back. They won't reply to our emails they won't help at all!!

Filling for ACCC - VCAT and will be campaigning till this defective product warranty is upheld!

The carpet has waves through it... it's hard as it's got too much latex when made... it literally snaps when you bend it in half and is a huge tripping hazed. This carpet was very expensive and now no warranty!

They don't do the job properly – Got both floor boards and carpet installed in newly renovated house... boarded edging was very off can see, the tackless strips weren't replaced as they were supposed to therefore they are carpet spots coming up, 2 of the floors boards move out of place due them being cut too short and the installer also put a whole in my newly painted wall. Very Poor – They lied to me about how much it was going to cost. So not happy. The carpet was good though. I would avoid if you want honest service.

Best service and price – I can highly recommend Carpetworld at Carrum Downs for their fantastic service from making enquiries with [name removed] who installed the carpet. All were very informative and helpful and did a fantastic job, could'nt be happier. I will certainly use them again and would not hesitate to recommend anyone to use their highly skilled services. The whole process went very smoothly had no problems at all.

website Online Carpet, where I was easily able to get a quote without having to speak to some sales person which was awesome. I emailed them a question and got a response within a couple of hours. I arranged to go in that weekend to their storefront (Carpet World) to try to match colors but ended up not being able to make it - when I turned up a few days later Jodi (not sure if I'm allowed to use names, but if I can she deserves a mention! She really went the extra mile.) actually remembered me by name and spent a lot of time helping me match the right color and texture (I was only replacing one room so it is butting up against the existing carpet), work out the area and helped me get a quote. The quote was really accurate and there were no hidden costs or anything - they show you how much it costs for them to rip up and remove your carpet, how much if you need them to move furniture with or without underlay etc etc. She even tried to see if she could find me a similar carpet in their sales section to save me some money. There was no push for sale either, she even asked if I wanted to get some other quotes or if I wanted to book. The lengths she went to to save me money may have ment less money for her company but it will make me want to recommend them to anyone and everyone, which means much more money for them in the long run!

I was in a rush to get the room re-carpeted before a final inspection and they were very accommodating. Someone came out that same day on their way home to do an exact measurement. They had the carpet in stock and after a few phone calls managed to fit me in 3 days later. Best customer service I have experienced in a long time!

The man who came to do the carpet actually arrived 15 minutes earlier than the 1 hour time frame they gave me which meant that I wasn't late for work. He was very friendly and professional, and I left him in my house to go to work and came back to find that he's done a great job. The carpet looks amazing, I'm almost sad I'm moving out soon haha. Cheapest price I could find but great quality. Customer service best I've experienced in a long time. Very accomodating of me needing it done ASAP. Great communication. If I have to have a con - they didn't have the exact colour of the carpet I needed. But I'm not sure the colour I needed even exists any more it is that old!! They did have a huge range of colours and did get pretty close to the colour I need.
