How does Cebu Pacific remain a viable/profitable company, when they are so woefully bad at everything to do with air travel? Their website is so glitchy that it's completely unusable, and they don't even have ANY MODE of real-time customer service (no phone helpline, no online chat help ... NOTHING)? Is 'total and utter dysfunctionality' just an accepted standard in the Philippines? I suspect that some of the practices Cebu Pacific engages in (not compensating for expenses incurred due to their incompetence with lost bags/flight delays, etc.) are illegal; yet they remain a viable company. It beggars belief.
I totally agree with your opinion since we had our luggages stolen and it took them 2x poor months to compensate us with barely nothing anyway because we had a lot of valuable stuff and the amount of money we got paid for it can’t even purchase a piece of laptop. It sucks and never be dealing business with them ever again!!!!

My friend booked already to CEBU PAC through a certain ticketing airline services My friend married to a German. The problem is that the first name and middle is correct but the family name that appears on her etenerary is wrong instead of her real family name it was mistakenly they put the Nationality DEUTSCH as her family name now. My question is can the airline ticketing agency request to CEBU PAC to allow to change the mistakenly put Nationality DEUTSCH as her family name to her real family name? Thank you

I just went back to my previous tickets. I would say yes. It should have a booking reference. Each time i have flown I have used the Itinerary Receipt when checking in. You should he able to forward the email with the intinerary attached.

The cost of ticket in philippine peso will be converted by your bank (debit card) into australian dollar at whatever is the exchange rate at the time of the booking. So if your mom's ticket cost php 35,000.00 and the exchange rate at the time of your booking is $1 = php35' then you will be charged Au$1,000

Your question was way back in January 2017. Hope you didnt pay a fortune, as inthink it will be considered an excess baggage because your ticket was a "fly only". There are normally three options to choose from when we book budget fares: 1) fly only; 2) fly with baggage; and 3) fly + baggage + meal
Hi. My flight would be direct from Kuwait to Manila, and is on a promo fare, which is obviously very cheap...but all of the reviews I've seen are worrying me now. Has anyone been on a long haul flight? Is there food and entertainment available? I see that a meal is included, but it doesn't look like much for nine hours!

Hi Just like any other flights, entertainment depends on the plane's age and built. You will pay premium price for some PAL flights but still no modern entertainment system because their planes are old. Since cebu pacific is a budget airline, expect none so it will help if you will bring your own book, ipad etc.
For food, you could arrange through cebu pacific website but confirm over the phone after doing the purchase. You could bring your own if security will allow which some would.

Thanks! :-) I decided to go with Emirates, as I already know what their service is like - especially for kids. Twice the cost, but half the hassle by the sounds of it! While I'm in the Philippines I'll probably be using Cebu for some short flights between the islands, so I'll see what they're like for short distance flying.

Good choice to go with Emirates as Cebu pacific has no entertainment options except for a few guessing games that are conducted by the flight crew. Long haul flights on Cebu pacific are boring unless you bring your own means of entertainment. After all, it is a budget Airline.
On another note, if you do use Cebu Pacific Domestically within the Philippines. They do have more frequent flights than other carriers, but from personal experience, they have a Horrendous track record for cancelled and/or significantly delayed Domestic flights. The small savings on the ticket price doesn't compensate for the possible and highly likely headaches of delays and cancellations. Try flying PAL. A little more expensive, but quite reliable. I can say I have never had an issue with PAL. The only negative is less frequent flights.

The best way is to go online to the manage my booking section and increase your baggage limit and pay the difference. If you try to do it when you are in the Philippines at the airport, then you will be in for a much lighter wallet. Don't take the chance. Just estimate how much extra you will need and increase your baggage limit online.

No. Had the same thing happen to me. Call the customer service line first and let them know what has happened. Take down the name of the customer service rep next time.

How do I pay for a cebu air flight from an australian debit card?
Cebu Pacific and Tiger require 'Verified by Visa' or 'Securecard Mastercard', both of which are a fourth level of security, for you the card holder, when you purchase online. I have just booked online using my Visa Debit Card after registering it (the card) with Verified by Visa. Absolutely no problems at all and the booking was transacted within 60 secs of committing to buy. Check with your bank so that you can do an abridged enrollment to access these services to be attached to your card. Then go for it.
I have just attended a trade seminar in Darwin NT Australia where Cebu Pacific Air had a display stand. I understood that they were flying Darwin to Cebu direct. Is this so.If yes how do I contact Cebu Air
Perhaps Cebu Pacific is planning on adding Darwin as a potential destination to its network as Darwin does have a substantial Filipino population.
