Celebrity Retreat Suite cruise a massive disappointment – Bitterly disappointed with the lack of meaningful Retreat facilities and the standard of the Sky Suite cabin on this vessel. We expressed the wish to disembark and to have the remaining balance of days refunded but this was denied. We have decided to delay our detailed review pending completion of the cruise and to allow Celebrity management to address the issues we have raised with them.

Staff are amazing but it’ll hurt your pocketbook – I cannot give enough praise to the amazing staff but the gratuities are a killer financially. Especially for countries who aren’t used to tipping all the time or have a poor currency conversion to US dollar! For an already more expensive cruise option paying another 20% for everything you touch makes it very expensive - I had a massage that I pay about $80 AUD for at home but it cost me almost $400 AUD and wasn’t that great . Everything is a hard sell - Even the education sessions then try and sell you expensive supplements. If price isn’t a option then go for it - the rooms are amazing - we were on board for 9 nights and all - (except one breakfast) was sensational - we were very spoilt with attention and the bar staff etc fantastic.
The stop overs at ports were seemless. Choice for food and drinks amazing.

Would never book with them again – I am booked on a cruise leaving Mar 2nd, two ports of call (1 being disembark port) have been cancelled and we now have an extra day at sea. I know the cruise line can't control the recent events caused by the conoravirus but they do have control over cancelling this cruise for the benefit of their passengers. The ship is now returning to Dubai and all they have offered is a days sailing credit to be spent on the boat and contribution of $500 towards flight changes. I have lost the money I spent on delaying my original flight home and the accommodation I booked in Singapore. I would never have booked a cruise with the itinerary they are now giving. Two other celebrity cruises have been cancelled one with full refund and the other with a credit.. P&O are also cancelling with full refund AND 50% discount for a future cruise. I have emailed twice with no acknowledgement. The damage to your brand for me is irreversible, I will never book with you again. At least two of our party are now deciding not to go on the cruise and will lose all funds paid.

Friendly Staff – Super friendly Staff on board is NOT ENOUGH to forgive the many faults on this Cruise. Food in the Buffet is BAD cafeteria at best.... The Ala Carte Restaurant is mediocre and just a little better.. The Theatre Shows have been thrown together with no thought at presenting something somewhat Proffesional.ive seen amateur Shows presented with more care to the Audience.. Again unacceptable.
The Stateroom we were in, although large in size, provided NO soundproofing, so we were woken most nights by couples on either side, screaming passionately...
A note to the OWNERS.....Sound proofing PLEASE...
With so many Cruises to choose from, consider these points when choosing.... Good luck
