Chambers Franklyn

I'm a Council of owners for the property I live on and have Chambers Franklyn managing our property for some years now. I communicate directly with Ashleigh who is a credit to the company and goes over and above to help. Her communication is prompt and clear. I thank her very much for her services that has my life as a council of owners so much easier particularly with her support.
Never use this company. The owner refused to respond to genuine complaints about employees who breach duties they are to comply with under the Strata Act. Employees act with malice and bad faith in the most low level underhand manner, after not even having a property manager to service the complex for 12 months. Disgraceful organisation devoid of morals and ethics and a blight on the strata management community
Incompetent at record keeping and bad attitude – Weaponised incompetence, don't keep correct records on file and flip problems on you when they're the ones not following the strata rules or bylaws.
Dissapointing and expensive – Had terrible strata managers before, so CF are not the worst but CF are not starting well. Increasing costs (pushing for higher insurance - which I suspect they get a commission on).
Dishonest and rude – Dealings with this company have been nothing but negative and stressful. They should be reported! The are bullies and have no respect for individual lot owners if someone complains. Many cover ups and lies. Cost our building thousands of dollars. They do not have any morals or ethics.
Above and beyond service – Great service from our Strata Manager - always respond promptly, great network of maintenance contractors, worked with us on major works projects on the building, provided good advice on new legislative requirements.
Unprofessional, Rude, Zero People Skills and No Ethics – Strata Manager for our Building is rude, has no people skills and No Ethics. He recently tried to interfere in EGM voting by contacting Apt Owners questioning how they voted online before the meeting had occurred. In my case arguing against they way I voted trying to get me to change my vote. When I raised this to the Owner of Chambers Franklin… Read more
and said his managers behavior was a breach of the code of Ethics they are bound to as members of SCA (WA) and I expect him to be replaced. I was told he would conduct an internal Investigation. I needed to send multiple emails over a 3 month period to get a response which was basically "xxxx has been counselled on this matter and we will continue to provide ongoing training for any further areas that are required". In other words they condoned his lack of Ethics by doing nothing. Do not use this Company.
Non responsive Strata company – This company has received many complaints about a tenant dumping white goods around the unit complex and fails to do anything. Promises to act but nothing done. The sooner this industry is regulated the better.
Terrible to deal with, rude and incompetent – Cambers Franklin are driving owner occupiers out of the complex I live in by aggressively demanding a never ending list of minor alterations to properties. Would strongly recommend not dealing with them.
Rude, Obstructive and very hard to deal with – Do yourself a favour and do not deal with Chambers Franklyn. Their staff are rude, obstructive and hard to pin down and deal with. They make it very difficult for your complex to live in an atmosphere of quiet enjoyment - serving breaches on all unit owners and continually sending email in block letters to harass owners and tenants. Stay away from this not so professional company.
Great – I am very pleased overall with the team at Chambers Franklyn. They are always extremely professional in their manner and put the client's needs first. Cannot recommend them highly enough
Changes in the Strata Legislation – Chambers Franklyn advised of changes by newsletter, then advised they're on summer holiday for a while. Clearly input to the Legislative changes were driven by the Strata Association and not by long suffering unit holders as to the best of my knowledge there is no representative body for unit holders. Sure unit holders can attend their AGM to be… Read more
treated like pests by the Strata Manager who always prevails by having the proxy votes.
Going by the reviews, positive feedback obviously comes from people within the industry who reciprocate the kind reviews from their mates who also work in the industry. The use of names contrary to the posting policy underpins this point.
Unhappy – I wonder if they have lost 2 staff members? 1 x office staff is rude and unhelpful I’d like a change.

Trust gone – I wish that I had searched these reviews before trusting Chambers Franklyn. Interestingly the instruction not to post personal details is ignored in that names are used gratuitously in positive posts. The only reasonable assumption is that friends give their mates positive reviews here. In dealing with Chambers Franklyn I have been disappointed… Read more
that their people lack the professionalism to talk facts on the phone, but instead give stories by email. Time and again I am disappointed that contractors are given jobs to do on the complex without any effective oversight by the Strata Manager, so contractors' propensity to overcharge and under deliver on work is costly to unit holders.
No strata company is the biggest selling point in advertisements for small complex grouped dwellings for good reason.
Chambers Franklyn could do better by engaging in open and honest dialogue with their clients.
Very unprofessional – We had the most unfortunate pleasure of having to deal with these guys and I can say it was definitely not a pleasant experience Do your self a huge favor and avoid unless you want lots of headaches and stress .
A Professional Team – I am extremely happy with the team at Chambers Franklin. Chris and Samantha are professional, friendly and no request or question goes unanswered. I feel our establishment is in safe hands and all issues are responded to promptly. A great service! I believe both ladies have our best interests at heart and go out of their way to work to improve our assets. I recommend this valuable team of experienced professionals.
Very happy with service been with them 12 years – Andrew is our complex manager and has given really good service. His advice is accurate and provided in a timely manner. Quick to respond to queries. Have recommended them to others January 5th 2018 Update: Strata Management Services Excellent service provided. Proactive staff willing to assist. Andrew does an excellent job and provides timely guidance to assist with the smooth running of a large residential complex.
Good – Chris Dale has been our strata manager over several years and has been excellent in handling several complex and difficult issues including having to go to SAT. The advice she has been able to provide on the act has been excellent. Sam Chitty-Sweet has also been good.
Unfair – Depends on who you are with this company as to them doing anything with other tenants and enforcing the paperwork strata by laws. Would never recommend this company. And the they hang up on you when you try to call and speak to the strata manager.
Keep away – Initially our strata manager was efficient and thorough, then the manager changed to Chris Jones/Dale. This manager did not understand the Act and gave incorrect advice. Our complex had money that went missing and later Chris Dale said it had gone into a different account. The council of owners kept asking where and why the money went into another… Read more
account, she would not reply and then Chris Dale terminated our contract. Chris Dale never worked on our behalf, we the council had to seek advice from the Strata Community Australia. She was incompetent and lazy. She made up stories and nothing was ever resolved. We have appointed new management and the difference has been extraordinary. We are so thankful that chambers, franklyn ended our contract it was the only good thing they did.
Very Poor – We had to sack them. Their failure to inform our owners and Council of Owners of their obligations under that Strata Tiles Act (as required by their professional body's code of ethics), cost us tens of thousands of dollars. They avoid work and thinking where possible.
