5 Star Energy rating! Boy, was I wrong and disappointed. This fridge loves to run and run and run and run. This fridge runs more than my 25 year old fridge which I replaced with this Chiq fridge.

This model has an inverter compressor with is meant to be energy efficient, well for the amount of time this fridge runs each day, I have no doubt it uses more than my 25 year old fridge.

My regret is that I should have spent a little more and bought a name brand fridge with good ratings instead of buying this energy hog.

Some examples, on the day of writing this review, its low 20’s outside, the roller shutters are down most of the way and its cool inside the house. This energy efficient fridge ran for an hour, stopped running for 23 mins then ran for another 45 min, 5 Star Energy rating?

During late Winter, early morning when it was zero degrees outside and freezing inside, the fridge ran for 30 mins, stopped for 10 mins then ran for another 40 mins. 5 Star Energy rating?

Its not uncommon for this fridge to run around 40-50mins and stop for around 20 mins. 5 Star Energy rating? And pigs fly.
