Dior perfumes all seem weaker now – Used to love this and it would last several good hours on the skin. New formula is cheap and nasty, lasting 20 minutes on my skin. What are Dior doing to their perfumes because it seems to be the same with all their perfumes now. Sorry Dior but you have let me down and i wont be buying again. Dud copy of the original. Show details

What Have You Done Christian Dior? – My first bottle was of the eau de parfum in 1990 and my goodness, a little went a long way. For years I'd get comments from people - even those who didn't like it on themselves - Poison just suited me. But the last couple of bottles have been abysmal. And if I'm honest, I'd say the last few years the scent has been ruined. No longer lasting… Read more

and nary a comment from anyone. What have you done Christian Dior? From a classic, unique and literally quite amazing scent, you have reduced this to something pedestrian, forgettable and ever so short lived. Shame on you for taking our money and giving us a subpar, inferior "cologne". Don't take your customers for mugs! I will NEVER purchase Poison again and in fact, I would never bother with Christian Dior again for ANYTHING.

Smell has changed – My wife had this fabulous perfume bought 2014. Bought some at London duty free this (2018} October. Hugely disappointed, kept telling her off for putting cream on or face mask as this very heavy rose smell kept really upsetting me, and we both tonight just realised as she had no other smelly stuff on it is the perfume. It has changed so much… Read more

absolutely revolting I have difficulty sleeping when she wears it or even in the same room tototal waste of £100, so heavy with rose smell any hint of allure gone just overpowering rose, yuck

Be careful where you buy your favourite perfume – Submitted a review previously on April 24, 2018 regarding poison perfume and have now been in contact with Christian Dior, apparently it is not the perfume but where you buy it from. Some chemists buy in large quantities and store it in their warehouses for long periods of time and the temperatures are not gauged so the perfume dissipates and you… Read more

end up with the alcohol. I have now bought from a more reputable outlet and although not as strong as the original, people are smelling this one on me. Very happy. Just wanted to clarify this.

HAS RECIPE BEEN RUINED RECENTLY – The original Poison was gorgeous, strong scented. Everybody noticed and commented favourably. My new one - bought this month barely smells; maybe of musk. Also tried and noticed the Dolce Vita recipe is now more insipid and likewise used to be gorgeous. Such a shame. Is it all for money? It's sad. I will now go for Anais Anais (Caccarel)

Dior has cheapened the quality of their scents – Gone are the days of one spritz of poison..especially hypnotic poison which lasted for a good 12 plus hours on the skin. Yes dior you have compromised the ingredients but still asking top dollar..shame on you!

not what it use to be! – About 12 years ago you could spray it and smell it for hours. Now it doesn't even last 2hrs. Very disappointed. Even my mum says its not the same. She can never smell it on me. Wouldnt bother spending the money on it these days!!

Love it – I used to hate this scent, but it's either been changed, or my body chemistry has changed, because now... it smells like delicious musk, lollies, flowers, sweetness, but not too much as it combines with muskiness. It has a hefty price tag. You don't need to much, but I spray it on myself, and my daughter asks, "What perfume is that?" I tell her… Read more

and she grabs it from my room for a quick spray. :) Lovely scent, gorgeous bottle, lasting fragrance, isn't cheap smelling or irritating Price

Long term user – When I first bought & tried this perfume it had a deeply sensuous smell right from the beginning. 20 years later, it's a different product. The smell is chemically harsh, and I don't seem to be able to find that original smell in it at all. Some folks object to it too. They say there are counterfeits around, and I wouldn't be surprised if that… Read more ·  1

is what I have - buyer beware, but I still love Poison and will continue to seek out original bottles. I just hope Dior aren't taking the cheap path in producing poor examples of this once wonderfully exotic perfume. Exotic, sensuous perfume Smell has changed

Don't go there – I had a deep red rash on my neck and smelt awful. My then boyfriend brought me this from the duty free when he was overseas, I think it should have stayed there. I felt sick the first and only time I wore it. In the end, I gave this to a friend. Pretty Bottle. Don't wear this if you have sensitive skin.

Good – I really like this fragrance. It is much more suited to the evening wearer. It can be quite heavy and very long lasting. The scent is extremely distinctive. I find this is something that has no middle road- you either love it or hate it. I fele that this is not really suited to younf=ger weares as it is quite heavy. This was my first ever grown up… Read more ·  1

perfume. I love it. The bottle is distinctive and the purple bottle has not changed over the years. Can be quite heavy. I find that this can sometimes leave an oily residue on your skin if you pray too much.

OK – This is not one I would invest in again. It is a strong scent that can still be worn at night, but not during the day (unless you want people to leave you alone!) Too overpowering for my liking and has been copied by many perfumes since it was first put on the market, so I don't think it's worth the cost. A very strong, oriental scent which is… Read more

most suitable for evening wear. More recent versions are a bit softer, but still heavy. Still selling at a high price after all these years. I find the scent a bit overpowering and unsuitable for day wear. As with many established perfumes, this one has been copied to death so it's lost it's original mystery.

OK – The bottle is beautiful and its great to see so many varieties of the original Poison. This is a strong fragrance, and I dont like how it changes for me after I wear it for a couple of hours. It sort of becomes softer and powdery smelly, so its not one I would ever want to spend (the huge amount) and buy for myself. I like how famous this perfume… Read more

is. It is very strong smelling and always reminds of something to be worn in winter time. It is very heavy, so I would suggest only 1 dab of it and see how long it lasts. For me, the scent does get softer after a couple of hours. I received this one as a gift and wouldnt buy it because it is so expensive.

Excellent – I really liked this perfume its not for everyday but i would often use it for nights out or if i was going on a date. The only thing that does put me off this perfume is the massive and excessive price tag that it comes with. I bought it whilst on holiday in the UK a few years ago but haven't been able to find it nearly as cheap since. A strong… Read more

and heavy perfume that is perfect for a first date or when you want that killer scent. The cost extremely expensive due to the designer name. Can be very over powering if you apply to much.

Excellent – I love this perfume and its not over powering if you dont over use it, sexy, alluring, romance it says it all. It has the smells of amber and the dusky oils that make up this wonderful perfume. Not for everyone as most cant get away with wearing it but for those of us who can, do it in style, therefore not over using it and a little through the… Read more

hair goes a long way. t is a bit expensive but well worth it. Try it I did and i have been using it for years. A very strong, seductive perfume, you only need a small amount or you will over power everyone...The smell is gorgeous, sexy and sultry. Nothing at all.

OK – this one is not a favourite, in fact it gives me head ache just smelling it. perhaps the strongest perfume ever made! if you love a really strong fragrance that will last the whole day (and most of the week) you will love this one. it is not fruity or fresh or summery, it is a flat out heavry winter scent. its an over the top fragrance for someone… Read more

Good – Christian Dior Poison is a very strong long lasting scent. i wouldnt say it is a perfume for a teenager but great for the more mature person. its not the sort of perfume id buy as gift because of how strong the scent is i first smelt poison on a friend and we were swimming at the pools and even though we'd been swimming i could still smell it on… Read more

her, i fell in love with it that day It doesnt smell great from the moment you put it on, It takes a little while to let off that beautuful scent. they are a bit expensive too.

OK – This fragrance is definitely not for daytime use in my opinion as it is quite a heavy scent but it has great staying power. I would recommend it for the older lady and definitely not for younger women. I don't like it personally myself but I also prefer fruity, fresh fragrances so its all a matter of personal taste! It is a very strong, some would… Read more

say overpowering fragrance but a little goes a long way so it represents good value for money. It is a strong and distinctive fragrance that has been around for years. Not really designed for younger women.

Terrible – I'm not a fan of the smell but it's the physical reaction that makes me loathe this perfume. Not sure why but it really gets my eyes watering, I cough and splutter and just can't seem to cope with this perfume. I'm sure it's not like this for most, so if you can handle it - go for it! This is the only perfume that I can't stand - physically. … Read more

It makes me nauseated and seems to grab the back of my throat and I end up coughing until my eyes water...wierd hey?? It's a strong smell too - lingers for ages - usually a pro but in my case, NOT!

Excellent – One of the few perfumes that makes it into my cupboard as i find many perfumes and fragrances are too strong or florally and end up giving me such a bad headache that i get physically sick from them. Poison tends to not do this. I love the scent it is very distinctive and i can always tell someone who is wearing it even if they just walk past. … Read more

A great scent. Much cheaper than it was when i first started buying it but then again alot of fragrances are cheaper these days. Very concentrated so it lasts a long time. Nothing to complain about.

Bad – First used this perfume over 20 years ago, I believe the first bottle I recieved was a gift, bought several more after that.It has a very distintive smell and it is very strong.I used it almost daily for several years, enjoyed the oriental sandlewoody type smell, however, now I can't even be near someone if they are wearing it, gives me a headache… Read more

and makes me feel nauseus, just too strong.Does last a long time without fading at all.I have noticed the price is almost half of what it used to be 20 or so years ago. Long lasting smell, small amount goes a long way. Overpowering
