Watered Down Emirates Card
The diluted new version of the old emirates platinum, which is part of the diluted emirates skywards frequent flyer program. From a credit card perspective, yes it works like any card with apps etc The usefulness of the Emirates association is greatly diminished.
-Fewer miles per dollar spent
-Reward flights and upgrades require more points
-Marahaba lounge no longer offered. It needed a clean and a spruce up anyway- but it was better than nothing.
You get:
-Good travel insurance
-Lounge access at departure airport
-Free 'chauffeur' to taxi you within 40 kms

Reward regime is a complete fraud
I took this card because I have a high credit card spend and I like flying on Emirates. After 4 months I had spent $38000, much of it overseas so is supposed to attract high points with no cap. After all that, I received 2,000 points. Several complaints resulted in additional points being assigned, but these were later removed with no explanation. This card is expensive and has high interest rates, but most importantly they absolutely misrepresent the points that you can expect from a given spend. Stay away!
