I would give 0 stars if I could. City of games sent a game with express shipping. Shipping should have been 1 day expected delivery was the Wednesday before Good Friday. without taking it out of the original shipping satchel. City of games refunded me half the amount as the game was not in its primal condition. Not happy and will be taking this further with eBay. I would stay away from this store.

Tbh I always want to be informed as to who I am buying from and what type of company they are. I liked City of Games prices and the fact that they are local and a small business. Probably the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. I usually prefer buying from brick-and-mortar stores, but lately the service has been disappointing. City of Games was the complete opposite, every question was answered perfectly, and the shipping arrived exactly when promised for my son’s birthday. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you, and I’ll definitely be back!

main gift... I had to spend extra money I hadn't budgeted for so they could have something to open on Christmas... So following up with these guys I was told to send the item back and they would need to check if they had actually sent the wrong item...? I stated I could send through any pics or proof they needed and they made me out to be a criminal, they said very bluntly, if your expecting to keep the controller and get a refund that won't be happening! Never had I suggested this at all. My issue was.... it took forever to get to me, then I will need to wait for it to arrive back to them, then however long they deem necessary to "check" and see that they are in the wrong and have caused all this... then wait again for them to ship and wait for it to arrive... very long process for their mistake. "Customer service" is non existent and they are so rude! It's been a nightmare the whole process and I will never buy here again!

reaching out to there customer service team to be told, it's not there problem and its Aus Post, this went on for 2 weeks until I intervened. It arrived today with the wrong game and TWO delivery addresses, mine and another one in Brisbane!

So it was their mistake even though they blatantly refused to assist. Never ever again.

Don't know why people are leaving bad reviews, there was no hidden shipping costs for me, and customer support has been nothing but pleasant. So unless you are just a competition store then I don't understand the issue. They have been responsive and very friendly.

Over a month later, I was suddenly told the address was “incorrect.” Nowhere during checkout was it made clear that the courier required “English only.” • If that requirement exists, it should be clearly stated and automatically checked at the time of purchase. That is the retailer’s responsibility — not the customer’s. Blaming me for their lack of a proper system is unacceptable. • The rep also raised that my billing address was in a different country — a completely normal situation for international orders — as if that were my fault. Another excuse rather than taking responsibility. • In more than four weeks I received no communication from them. The issue only came to light because I chased it. • Instead of an apology, I was repeatedly met with threats to cancel my order, delivered in a rude and dismissive tone. When they finally agreed to ship, they described it as “goodwill,” as if fulfilling a paid order was a favour.

The lack of transparency, the poor communication, and the unprofessional service all add up to a very bad experience. I will not be ordering from them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this store.

Never received my game. They sent it through crappy Sendle. I tired contacting City of Games for a refund but received zero response. They still have my money, its basically stealing my money as i haven't received my item. Cityofgames you must be very happy getting free money from your customers or more like stealing money from your customers. I am going to avoid them from now on.

Still advertising discontinued out of stock items. Purchased several items all of which were immediately refunded without explanation. Still advertised on their store 2 weeks later as of writing this. On follow up, didn't reply to my enquiry at all. It's 2025, there's too much competition to use a vendor like this. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Disgusting level of customer service – Fake notification of posting of my order with fake tracking. when I threatened to raise complaint via eBay (purchased through their eBay store). To avoid me further, I was blocked through their eBay store. To top it off, seller updated the tracking number in the eBay delivery tracking to a valid Austpost tracking number after cancelling the order, to try to cover their arse with eBay (didn’t work) Foul customer service from this business, avoid like the plague.

Good price, good value and fast delivery – Bought two Nintendo games from them, good communication, good price, good value and fast delivery, will buy again from them, I recommend this place. Thought this may help fellow gamers as there are not many reviews of them out there.
