Should have bought a Funky Monkey, people seem very happy with them.

I bought the medium frame because it is marketed as ‘entry level’ with easy option to upgrade the frame to a large.

Don’t bother with it. Just go straight to the large.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice little unit if all you want are monkey bars. Expensive monkey bars. But if you’re thinking ‘I’ll get the medium frame and then upgrade’ (which you will, because a monkey bar on its own is boring)- you will end up paying way more. The upgrade frame is never on sale. In the four months since we’ve owned the medium, there have been four sales ‘events’ with different % off frames or accessories or both. Never ever the upgrade frame. For at least two of the sales the large was considerably cheaper than the medium + frame upgrade price.

To make it worse Growplay have tried to tell me that the medium is ‘for small backyards.’ It is NOT marketed this way. It is explicitly marketed as the entry point to ‘easily upgrade’ for the large or x large frame.

TL; DR: medium is ok if all you want is a basic set of monkey bars. You can’t hang any accessories off it. It gets boring really fast. You will probably then want to upgrade to the large frame. This will probably, due to the many sales events, end up costing more than if you just buy a large frame on sale.

We attempted to order a large set and multiple accessories in June 2026. The website was offering free delivery but the payment page was still displaying a shipping fee so I reached out to customer service. out. I reached out to them again and they explained more stock was arriving 15 July and they would reach out as soon as it arrived to ensure I received one. In the meantime, they directed me to pay for all the accessories and these were promptly shipped. The 15 July date then passed and I heard nothing so I yet again reached out to them and they said that the stock had, in fact, arrived but they'd had a flash sale over the weekend and they sold out. This was extremely confusing as they'd claimed one would be held for me. On 20 July I was directed to pay for my purchase in advance and promised it would be shipped. I waited 9 days and received no shipping notification so I emailed them AGAIN. This time they let me know there was a delay booking stock into their system (though they hadn't communicated this) and orders would commence dispatch the following day. I didn't actually receive notification that my order was being dispatched until over a week later on 6 August. The tracking info I was provided had delivery listed as due on 7 August. It's now 12 August and I've still received nothing and I've received no further communication or shipping updates. I've had a bunch of accessories sitting in boxes for several weeks and nothing to do with them. I am very concerned that I will not receive my actual set and the accessories will be useless. The lack of communication from customer service has been so disappointing.

Amazing quality and beautiful design, kids are loving spending time outside and climbing. Very happy with the purchase, stronger durability and longer warranty than other brands. Highly recommend. Show details ·  1

This is the BEST investment we have made - I finally have my sanity back!! Hubby was super keen to buy this but I vetoed it becasue it was a large amount of money for us. hours, my son - who is very physically active) has somethgin physically challenging (and fun) to do when we need to stay home, and my baby LOVES napping outdoors on the swing!

I've never seen them so keen to head outside. Other than the extra time and space it's given me as a parent, it's really wonderful to see them both happy spending time outside and gettign a great workout at that.

We bought this instead of a dining table (we still don't have a dining table) and I wouldn't take it back at all. Huge thanks to the team for helping us get the best offer on the equipment when we had trouble making the purchase online within teh sale period!

several accessories, spending over $4,000 USD on May 14th as my twins’ birthday gift. When purchasing, the website stated that the items would either be delivered or fully shipped by May 30th. I explicitly placed this order based on that timeline to ensure everything would arrive in time for my twin' birthday schedule.

Since we live in Canada, we arranged delivery to a holding service near the US border, willingly preparing to pay $160 in holding fees and $720 in customs duties just to make our kids happy.

The customer service since then has been a complete nightmare, filled with contradictions and complete disregard for the customer's situation:

On June 16th, way past the promised May 30th timeline, NOT A SINGLE ONE of the 21 packages had processed. Because of this massive delay, my children's birthday schedule was completely ruined, and I had to cancel my first cross-border trip. When I inquired, customer support explicitly assured me: "I can assure you they will all leave the warehouse at once or delivered on 6/15."

On June 24th, shipping labels finally started generating one by one for the boxes. However, I noticed 4 major accessory items had zero updates. I had to reach out FIRST again to find out why. Only then did they casually reply: "we have been advised by the warehouse team that the pallet containing these items was unfortunately damaged in transit." They never proactively notified me about this shortage before unilaterally shipping the rest of the incomplete order.

On July 2nd, the 17 boxes (minus the 4 items) finally arrived at the border. Because package holding services charge heavy daily storage fees, I was forced to drive for hours to pick up the partial shipment to avoid massive storage fees accumulating until late July.

Despite splitting the shipment due to their own warehouse damage, they offered zero practical solutions. Given the nature of these 4 specific items (Ninja Sticks, Net, Basketball Kits, Sets)—which are made of highly durable materials and practically impossible to be easily damaged or broken—their excuse is completely unbelievable and feels like a cheap cover-up for a stock shortage. They unashamedly told me to just wait until the next container arrives around July 15th and "collect everything at once later," completely ignoring the reality that I am being forced to cross the international border twice.

They flatly refused to ship the remaining lightweight items directly to my Canadian address at their expense and refused any form of compensation, blaming "unforeseen circumstances." They told me to either wait weeks or just cancel the missing items.

Why would anyone spend over $4,000 if the main frame doesn't even come with the essential accessories (Ninja Net, Basketball set, etc.)? Seeing my kids so disappointed breaks my heart. Their birthday is ruined, their summer break has started, and my trust is completely broken.

If I lived in the US, I would have returned the entire unit instantly. This is no longer a happy gift for our family, regardless of product’s quality.

They really do not care about their customers or the children they sell to.

I purchased the large Growplay Monkey Bar set as a Christmas gift. The promotion advertised a free net swing to replace the pull-up bar, and the set was marketed as compatible for simultaneous use. children. I contacted Growplay, and their advice was to raise the swings and limit swinging, but this makes it difficult for my 3 and 4 year old to use and defeats the purpose of a swing . I requested a full refund and return of the set, but they only offered to refund the net swing, the product was false advertised and is unsafe. I am now in contact with fair trading and also wish to advise other families this is an unsafe product. Don't order for a birthday or special event. We ordered our playground to arrive the Thursday we moved into our new home before school holidays and arranged their recommended installer to install. company directly and managed to work out that a box had been misplaced (why growplay couldn't work this out i don't know). Again growplay got involved at my request and said they were on to it. Another we 3 days later and it's only when I directly follow up with the transport that they get a new box shipped. Finally we have the boxes but the installer can't install for a week. Goodbye school holidays. After the delivery company were involved they followed up to ensure it's all been received. No word from growplay. Don't expect that they care. Don't expect your delivery on time. And if it isn't certainly don't expect customer service to help or follow up. Hopefully one day I'll be able to review more than my blank lawn

The Growplay Large Monkey Bars set was delivered very promptly, was straightforward to set up (the kids helped with putting it together) and have used it literally every day since we installed it. The boys love getting out and each morning they are often on it before breakfast. A really great investment in the boys' health and wellbeing. Show reply

The only small thing I'd mention is that the screws/anchors at the bottom don't feel as sturdy as the rest of the frame. They've held up perfectly so far and haven't caused us any problems, but they don't feel like they're doing a whole lot compared to how solid the rest of the structure is.

Overall though, we're so happy with our purchase and would definitely recommend it. The kids absolutely love it, and it's great knowing they're outside climbing and playing in a safe environment instead of sitting inside on screens!

We have been very happy with our Growplay monkey bars set, and the quality has exceeded expectations. Kids are between 3-6 and they all play on it together, choosing the monkey bars set over the trampoline every time. Would highly recommend. Show details ·  1

Incapable of shipping – I pre-ordered a set from Growplay on July 4th that was suppossed to ship August 1st. On August 14th the set has still not shipped. Growplay is quick to ask for payment in full, but cannot fulfill orders timely or even at all at this point. Customer service in the US is by email only and they always just provide excuses.

Good product but very expensive- poor customer service – We have just bought the adventurer with cargo net and ninja net extras. The frame is high quality but the instructions are very poor - no written instructions, just a video and they did not explain how to add the cargo net in the position advertised. A good product with a premium price tag but poor customer service.

Outdoor play for the win! – We've got a trampoline, a cubby house (with a slide), bikes and even a pool. But finally, we have something the children are really using! Even though we only have the compact version, all three of our children use it just about everyday. It's helping them build strength, whilst getting some fresh air and sunshine. Compact but unsturdy – It looks great, but it is unstable and missing pieces. Instructions are provided online but not in print and they dont include the order of construction of the different parts are not provided.
