I ordered a Parasound amplifier which was out of stock. Kevin quickly suggested an alternative with the next, better upline model and with the deal he offered I happily went with that. I now have a better amplifier at a great price and am very happy with the transaction. Recommended seller. Show details

Pricing always competitive BUT communication and after sales support lacking – I've now bought several hifi components from Kevin at Class A Audio. Always provides competitive prices, so five stars on pricing but any questions after purchase have mainly been ignored or he says that he does not understand the query. This has meant that I've mainly had to pursue my queries with the distributors, who have always resolved the… Read more

issue. Especially impressed by Magenta Audio who talked me through error detection and resolution of a Primaluna preamp issue. All the equipment I've purchased still works fine but customer post sales service is totally unimpressive and the time and effort pursuing alternative solutions was annoying and may distress some folks. Update Feb. 2023. I sent a query about a recent purchase in the hope that customer service may have improved. No change unfortunately, communication just ignored so I'm taking future business elsewhere. Price whilst important is only part of what contributes to customer satisfaction.

Only when I wrote a review did Kevin offer compensation – Sold me ARC amps. Said were lightly used in shop for demos. 1 tube was blown, 5/12 others were degraded. The amps should have been checked before sending out. Offered compensation of $800 towards cost of the new tubes ($1,120) and the cost of repairs with authorised Synergy tech here in Brisbane, which I accepted. Show details

Great Customer Service and wide range quality Hi end products – Hi Folks, Just wanted to add my brief feedback regarding Class A Audio store. Purchased hi end speakers and integrated amp on layby and from the beginning it was a great experience dealing with Kevin. Normally layby goes on for 2-3 months however my circumstances changed and Kevin was very understanding and let me extend further until I was… Read more

ready.

Also great advice from Kevin on range of products based on budget and listening preference. Also there was slight error in shipment with wrong stands delivered. Informed Kevin and he immediately arranged for pickup and send the correct item the next day.

Very helpful and good customer service overall.

Amplifier repair – After looking for Cambridge audio repairers, came across Class A Audio on the web. My house was struck by lightening and as a consequence my Amplifiers no longer worked, so dropped it in to Kevin at Class A, and paid $99 to have the unit assessed. After the assessment the repair cost was deemed as being $400 with $200 being paid upfront to… Read more

continue with the repair which I agreed to and made the progress payment.

Two months went by and I had not heard anything so I contacted Kevin who said it will next week, a week after then the repair man was sick then another week later the repair man was on holiday.

After 4 Months I told Kevin that I had contacted consumer affairs and he said that he was now waiting on parts to come from overseas and they could take up to 5 weeks to arrive.

Then after another 4 weeks Kevin emailed me and said the unit could not be repaired due to parts not being available.

Two weeks after that the unit was put back together and returned with the $200 progress payment refunded.

Horrendous customers service!!!!

These guys are the best. They can fix anything AAA++++ – Well these guys - Kevin and his team have come through again. Fixed my Onkyo M510. I sent it all the way to japan for repair. Thinking no one could fix it here due to parts not available and no experience with the amplifier. What a mistake that was. Quoted $1500+ shipping to repair and would take 1.5 years to repair. Plus the service was… Read more

terrible. I said forget it. They charged me $300 to repack it. What a rip off. I sent it to Kevin directly from japan and he fixed it without a problem. As I said in a previous review. Don't send your Vintage Audio to anyone else. These guys can fix anything. AAA++++ Everything I have had repaired is still working no problems.

Poor customer service, would not recommend – After finding a bargain on their website I finalised the purchase and the money was sent through to their account. Two weeks later I had to chase them to find out what was going on, after an initial email response stating the item was on backorder (even though their website said the item was in stock). A few more days pass and they finally reply… Read more

that the pricing on their website was an error, they did not have the item in stock and they won't be able to honour the erroneous pricing when they do get stock in.

Fair enough, I ask for a refund. AGAIN I have to chase them, some 9 days later, to find out why they still haven't completed my refund.

This issue is still ongoing.

Outstanding Guidance, Amazing Service – Guys, each experience is completely personal. Class A Audio was Outstanding with capital O with me. They guide me to the best receiver for my needs (I loved the Onkyo NR3010 they recommended) and to complete showed me a new and higher level of sound, through Morduant-short, to my movie sessions. I am suspected, I had a terrible previous… Read more ·  2

experience. The first Home Theatre professional who supported me, with small "p" under my opinion, had recommended Arcam (a music receiver) to a movie addicted and the smaller Klipsch Reference 42 ii to a huge room at my place. Now I am happy. I strongly recommend [name removed] and Class A Audio. For me, it has been a very positive experience. Alex Trusthfull
