stomach. — Some treats *stink*, particularly the dried fish. When you open the packet, the stench hits you like a sledgehammer, so don’t do it indoors. Some tendons/bones are a bit smelly, too, but not as bad. Jerky and puff treats don’t smell. — Definitely read the on-site customer reviews for each product. Most customers mention their dog breed and/or size in the reviews, which helps.

My blue healer loves these treats, he has tried a variety of their chicken, kangaroo, goat, mackerel, venison, green lipped mussels and loved them all. I love that they natural products with no additives or preservatives. After spending thousands of dollars over the years at clear dog, I had one complaint about the kangaroo tendon bulbs which I had ordered many times previously. Awful - made my dogs really ill – Bought Kangaroo Knee Tendon 250g in my order & Fish Jerky Strips. Caused both of my dogs stomach upset, vomiting, and diarrhoea. No dates on the package; according to customer service 'no other customers have had any problems with these products'. Show details

Shark products – Our boy loves the shark products, yes, they are a little smelly when you open the pack but once sealed you don't smell it. I am a repeat customer of these products. The shipping is fast and they are packed really well. Our boy is allergic to a few products so the shark has been amazing, single protein. Made my dog sick. Get what you pay for – I thought I'd give Clear Dog Treats a try as my girl loves bully sticks and they're a good price. bought a pack of bully sticks, gummy twists and kangaroo jerky from Clear Dog treats. Made 2 dogs very sick – My 2 dogs both became sick after eating the clear dog treats, one badly enough to need to go to the vet. I contacted the company to let them know but despite several emails being sent and resent to every email address they have listed, I was ignored. No response at all. No phone number to call. beware of the kangaroo leg bone – bought kangaroo leg bones, which is advertised on the site for big dogs, and "never had an issue", my dog managed to shard bone and spent the next day throwing up bone shards and had diarrhea. Wrote to them to complain, and got told, oh maybe you should just avoid them, and we've never had a problem, excuse me, didn't I just report a problem? slowest shipping ever – treats are great, and my dog loves them. great value for money. shipping is so slow. why not just use auspost? my shipment hasn't moved for 8 days. super slow, unacceptable really.

Poor customer service – We recently had some dog treats delivered to our premises and left in a spot, behind a closed gate, where our dogs managed to eat most of the treats. We emailed the company and the reply blamed us for NOT contacting the courier company and specifying delivery instructions. No real concern for our dogs health, NO mention of Clear Dog Treats contacting the courier company so it doesn't happen again and no mention of replacing the purchase. Show details

Poor customer service and product quality – I recently received a batch of treats that were rancid; putrid, clearly off. They were either off before the drying process or were not dried adequately. I reported it to the company and they dismissed my concern as this being a normal variant. This is exactly why the pet food industry needs to be more tightly regulated.  Show details

Severe decline in the quality of the treats – I've been buying clear dog treats for about 4 years,. Recently the kangaroo liver & kangaroo hearts have not been fully dried & have given my dog diarrhoea. The kangaroo tails & tendons have also given my dog diarrhoea. Dog who can only eat fish – The dried fish products are a blessing, my dog can eat most proteins, like Chicken, Beef,Turkey all causing major problems. Fish was the only answer, thank God for these treats he loves them all keeping him interested and healthy. I was at my wits end with a failing dog and very little to entice him, but these treats have given him a new lease on life. All natural and healthy – Both dogs have liked most of what has been given to them even though each has their own favourites. Roo tendons and chicken jerky are a must. The only drawback is expensive shipping costs to WA compared to some of the other retailers who offer flat rates or no shipping at all even if it still comes from over east. Show details
