The "% busy" reported in the app is often completely understated. For example, this morning the app reported 13% busy. I estimate it was at least 90%. Obviously caused by the entrance/exit gates being locked open - people are not checking in/out. Cannot trust the app. Gym too busy.
Direct debit “declined” yet I had plenty of funds available in the account and they texted and emailed the same day advising declined payment. Checked account and funds available, i did not top up as funds already available and very next day Club Lime took payment and charged a dishonor fee. Have been following up since 13th Feb with no contact back from this company.
When cancelling your membership they will still charge you for a further 28 days! If you are not using a service you shouldn’t be charged for it. Looting people in the name of terms&conditions. Billing system can't be understood by people. @clublime

Run away away away – I cancelled on April 11. May 8 is the day of cancellation following the 28 days notice of cancellation. I paid everything. But the staff insisted that I will pay one forth night on May 9! They have two cancellation dates! May 8 and May 25! Be careful with word “re-cancellation” and check your bank statement.
Choose another gym! – I was debited $400 extra after I emailed and asked to cancel my membership… The Club Lime policy charges you for an additional 28 days AFTER you cancel, and you have to cancel by logging into a special website (that I didn’t have access to and never used through my whole membership). Absolutely disgraceful greed. I’m amazed they haven’t been sued… Read more
for misconduct- or maybe they have and can just pay off the legal fees with all their post-cancellation earnings.
Worst service – charged me extra if after the cancellation of my membership. and when i contact their team the reply tgey have given shocked they don’t even know how to reply when customer have a complaint rather than trying to solve the issue they just pointed the mistake of the customer which is not even valid. and before joining the gym they tell u one price and after a month they just kncrease the price. Worst gym and rude team.
Bad customer service forcing payments when notice was given – I went 3 times in the first 2 weeks last year and havnt been since so I don’t find it out of reach to honour next months fee waived. I requested to cancel on the 2nd of January with no corrospondance then again on the 12th of January. Your portal is not easily usable and I was unable to find the link to cancel obviously. When a customer requests in writing twice that should be honoured.
- +1
Sneaky increase in fees & no loyalty – I've noticed my fees increasing for the last few months and I decided to reach out. See attached for tax invoice and response from the gym. I don't recall subscribing or unsubscribing. Also why do existing members bear the fee increases and not new members??? New members pay $20.90 / charged $41.80 per fortnight) but I pay 44.68 a fortnight because I'm a loyal customer lol. Show details

I attend Redcliffe Club Lime, and it is a great facility that is clean, a variety of machines, and the classes are amazing. The yoga classes and instructors are all great. The Pilates classes are amazing. Nicole is a one of the best instructors I have met and I have been to a lot of classes. Just so pleased with the whole environment and staff.
Hi I would just like to thank the Manager at Club lime Blacktown for her outstanding service and smile when working. The staff at the front and so helpful and friendly and always are happy with a smiling face to assist you with what you need. I have been a member for 3 years at Vibe which then changed to club lime. Well done girls at the front :) cheers Matt D
What a Great Gym! It's fantastic! It has everything you could want. A huge amount of space with pool, plenty of equipment, a wide array of classes with friendly and professional staff.

Since changing from surge to club lime the gym has been terrible. Staff communication is awful, area managers are nowhere to be seen or contactable. I put a complaint in 10 months ago about me not being able to access the gym. 10 months later still not resolved. I call and email each week, no response. Area manager is not accessible. I have paid… Read more
over $800 of gym fees and still can’t access. No refund, no understanding of my frustration, no resolution.
Do not join club lime!! All my friends have left due to similar reason
During my morning workout at 7.00am, that I have ben doing for over 1 year at the rosebery NSW club, I was requested by a PT to stop what I was doing and move so that this person could run a private session. This is a terrible service.

Excellent facilities and well-maintained equipment, but staff are rarely on site and no one answers the phone during the advertised staffed hours. The gym’s own policy prohibits unaccompanied minors at night, yet large groups of loud, unsupervised teenage boys are often present, creating an unpleasant environment for most adults. I’ve also heard… Read more
numerous complaints about the difficulty of cancelling memberships. Fortunately, my own was cancelled immediately once head office was made aware of the potential liabilities in enforcing a 28-day notice period.
1 star is still too generous- this place sucks. So much hidden fees [Content Removed] for a crap, small gym anyways. Tried getting a day pass ended up somehow joining me as a member. Now short over $150 bucks and was a [Content Removed] session anyways. Xoxo (DONT JOIN!!!!!)
Club Lime is not worth joining. The staff are useless and have zero interest in their job. I have used 7 of their clubs whilst being a member and all were old and in disrepair. The machines are broken for months, and the bathrooms have broken shower heads and taps. It has definitely gone down the drain since they became a public company. Only interested in opening more gyms whilst their older gyms are forgotten. Join another gym.
They steal money, I highly recommend other gyms, better bang for your buck. For those living near the hills two gyms operate closer to residential areas and are much more cheaper and transparent. I had no idea about the 28 day membership cancellation thing. Which is absurd cause then I need to be 6 weeks early to cancellation. The whole company just uses contracts to funnel money out of you before you realise how bad it is and quit
Club lime charged me a $22 fee for having insufficient funds in my account, i believe this is outrageous and unjustified, especially as a uni student with a part time job on minimum wage, its sad to see my hard earned money go to the greed of others. Especially without any notice.
Club Lime Curtin in the ACT currently has 6 cardio machines which have been broken for over 6 months. They also increase fees for members who have access to all localities at least $6 per fortnight each financial year, well above CPI. The facilities in many of their clubs are very old and worn. The ceiling in several clubs leak when it rains. I… Read more
could continue with the negative comments as there are so many things wrong overall with Club Lime.

Have been their customer for almost one year, and missed one single payment because I lost my bank card and the new card is still in delivery, got charged $12 dishonour fee, have explained to them the cause in email but got ignored, and they are still charging me although I didn’t update my new card details in their system, cause they need 4 weeks… Read more
notice prior to membership cancellation , as if I have left them a gap that they need time to find someone to refill.
Their customer service is no class, stay away from them

Club Lime has to quite literally be the WORST gym I have ever ever come across. Their staff are awful. I was scammed in June last year and so I cancelled my card and I called them in October to pay the last 4 months of debt I had accrued at once in good faith in order to cancel my membership. And what do they do? Start trying to charge a non… Read more
existent card again a month or so later. They’ve been trying to charge me for the last 10 months and I have allegedly been accruing debt this entire time despite me sending it to them in writing since January to cancel my membership. My mistake was not having it in writing from October last year when I called them. They are so awful. I’m reporting them to the ACCC and I hope they can be stopped. They only care about profits and not people. Please AVOID at all costs.
Club Lime says no contract when you sign up, but keep charging you for 28 days after cancellation request, these notification days is definitely not necessary and unfair to all members. Australia law should treat this as a scam!
Club Lime offers a reasonable range of equipment and the staff are generally friendly. However, the enforcement of their "No Towel, No Workout" policy appears inconsistent and ineffective. Despite clear signage, it's common to see members working out without towels and failing to wipe down equipment after use, leaving machines unhygienic for… Read more
others.
When I raised this concern, I was informed that staff can only encourage towel use but have no authority to enforce the rule or take further action. I suggested that repeat offenders could face consequences such as membership suspension or cancellation, but was told the gym is unwilling to risk losing revenue over such issues.
This approach raises concerns about the prioritization of profits over member health and hygiene, especially in a shared workout environment.
Five Dock Club Lime - Deeply Disappointing. I joined Club Lime specifically to work with a qualified physio/PT at Club Lime as part of my rehabilitation following a serious bike accident caused by a drunk driver. One of the key aspects of my rehab—advised and supervised by your own PT —involves specific mobility and tendon stretches that require… Read more
me to be barefoot for a total of 5-10 minutes. This is medically necessary due to a foot injury involving a foot peg that pierced through said foot, limiting my ability to isolate toe movement feel understand my foot in space with shoes on to ensure proper activation of muscles when I train.
Despite this being done in a safe, clean, and appropriate area (on a mat which I personally clean after use), I’ve been repeatedly harassed by staff for following a rehab routine prescribed by a professional within your own network. Strangely, this policy is not enforced uniformly—I’ve regularly observed other members, particularly men lifting heavy weights barefoot, without being approached in deadlifting zones.
Beyond this, your facilities are in consistently poor condition: • Sanitisation wipes are frequently unavailable, with little enforcement of hygiene protocols for equipment or mats. • The bathrooms are unhygienic—at one point, vomit remained in a sink for an entire week before it was cleaned. • I was told membership includes access to a pool, yet it’s often unavailable due to private classes or events that are not clearly communicated when joining.
This is not the standard of service I was sold, nor is it reflective of what I am paying for. I am therefore requesting the following: 1. A call from a senior manager within 48 hours to discuss this matter directly. 2. A full review of my membership and a refund for services not provided as promised.
The instant $11 dishonour fee if your debit is unable to be processed is a joke, do not take into account any variables that might occur. The dishonour fee alone is a weeks worth of membership at some other gyms
Doubt they will give a damn, same story as everyone else, they make it impossible to cancel, keep stealing money from me after trying to cancel, going to do tell my card provider (bank) that the transactions are unauthorized they return the money immediately. I’d encourage everyone here to do the same. Just call the number of the card report… Read more
unauthorized transactions. Viva will learn the hard way, treat people like this and watch the members walk and get their money back.
Terrible customer service and no care whatsoever for their patrons, do not sign up for this gym. If the automatic payment doesn’t go through, you are charged a dishonour fee that is $11 (which is literally a 50% increase on the charge) even if you immediately pay manually within minutes if being notified, and even though they say you can dispute it, they will not waive it, regardless of circumstances.
Beware – Unfair Practices and Extra Charges! I would not recommend Lime Club. the only good impression was from Zumba and Yoga classes I took there. And other experience has been extremely disappointing and feels like a scam. I initially joined after seeing a Facebook ad offering three weeks free. The same promotion was still active on their… Read more
website when I signed up on 2nd February, but later I was told the offer had actually expired on 31st January (!). So I ended up paying membership fees and onboarding fees, with no free weeks—despite the misleading ad still running. I thought, okay, maybe I missed the date—but the way it was handled felt dishonest from the start.
They say in Egypt, a tourist asks, "How much to climb on this camel?" and hears "It's free!"—but once you're up there, they charge you to get down. That’s exactly what this gym feels like.
Even "climbing the camel" here wasn't free—I paid to join, and then when I cancelled my membership in person on 19th March 2025, after returning from China, I thought that was the end.
I spoke with [Name Removed], the club receptionist, who processed my cancellation. I paid everything that was due at the time and asked specifically if I would be charged again. I was told that I had to pay for a "cancellation fee" and some extra time due to billing cycles, which I accepted and paid on the spot.
Then came the surprise:
$46.44 charged on 27th March
$19.90 charged again later
I was told there was no way to get this money back. Apparently, I had actually paid for 28 days in advance, and I wasn’t even told I could still access the gym during that time.
[Name Removed] never mentioned I could use the gym after cancellation, so I didn’t. So I paid for time I never used and never agreed to use.
It’s not just about the money—it’s about the principle and how customers are treated.
Please be careful with gym memberships like this—read every line, and don't trust the ads or promises unless they’re in writing.
