No spare parts for any of their stoves in Australia
It's the second time I contact Coleman (Newell Brands) customer support looking for spare parts for a Coleman Stove.
The first time I had a Coleman EvenTemp 3 which is one of the most expensive they've got, the stove was good however the lid would not lock, which means that every time I would try to carry it around, it would open and everything in it would fall. I contacted Coleman asking for a solution and also suggesting one, just in case if they did not have a solution yet however they answered saying they did not have a solution as the loc...
Zero stars for a company that doesn't support its products or customers
I bought my Coleman Instant Up EVO 4P Gold Series Tent online from Freddy's not long after Coleman released this updated version (Dec 2020) of its popular but discontinued 4P gold series tent. The main reason for buying it was the advertised "detachable oversized 3 pole (included) awning which can be attached to both left and right sides (so you can follow the shade)." When I unpacked my tent I found out the 3 poles and detachable awning the tent was advertised as having was not actually a feature of the new 2020 EVO tent. To extent the awning,...customers' only option is to buy an additional zip-on awning (an extra $159). I emailed both Freddy's and Coleman Australia to say that the specifications advertised with the tent are false (this misleading spec is on a couple of sites so I suspect Coleman has distributed incorrect production information to its retailers). Seven days passed and I received no response from either company. I sent a follow-up email asking for a response from either company (the only response from Coleman is the automated 'we received your email and will get back to you in 24-48 hours. Freddy's then removed the false specification on their website and responded saying that they had referred my email to Coleman for a reply but had also received no response and that they had been busy in the lead-up to Christmas (the reason why they didn't respond sooner). Freddy's lack of any accountability and Coleman's inability to even respond has meant I will not be buying Coleman products again or shopping at Freddy's. Aussie retailers are worried about how COVID has impacted their small businesses. Bad customer service and misleading advertising is the real reason why a lot of retail businesses fail. I'm off to Tentworld to buy the rest of my camping gear, which won't be Coleman branded.
