Coles Ultra Floor Cleaning System Tub

I first bought one of these years ago and loved it. It's not an industrial-strength mop, but it was extremely useful for spot cleans, sturdy enough and effective. When the old mop head finally died (the plastic grips finally degraded) I confidently bought a new one only to discover that, as seems par for the course these days, Coles has systematically de-spec'd the product to make it close to useless. The plastic head flops about or flips over every time you swipe. Every now and then it snaps off completely. The wipes are now thin and flimsy and don't stay in the plastic grips (whether this is because the grips are less effective or the wipes too thin or both, I don't know). Typical corporate greed - let's take something well-designed and affordable that everyone likes and see how far we can push the profit. Am I disappointed? Absolutely. Am I surprised? Not at all. Will I buy another one? Not a chance.
