the rep and collectingcars.com no reply. Looking on Facebook and a feed from collectingcars.com comes on and I remark that customer service is very poor, email rep again finally get a rep saying he is sorry and will fix. Get another email later the same day saying he has seen my Facebook reply and has cancelled my opportunity to sell with them and wants my baby and bank account details to refund my money. I state very clearly the money needs to be refunded the same way I paid as no one at collecting cars should have my bsb and account details. I email collectingcars.com in the UK direct several times before I finally get someone to action the issue. Rep is still not apologising or reflecting on his performance or behaviour, so would I recommend NO as customer service should be way better

Stay away from this site , total scam. They will constantly pressure you to remove your reserve and push you to sell your car for far less than it’s worth. It used to be a decent platform with a good team in the early days, but now it’s gone downhill the new team is unprofessional, manipulative, and focused only on quick, cheap sales. Save yourself the stress and sell your car privately instead. Avoid this platform and their team at all costs.

Same experience as every one else. Make you spend 300 bucks for photos and list it as coming up for auction and just to turn around and tell me they won't do anything....scammers stay away

I was also told my car was expected to achieve above $10,000, which I would have considered. Relying on this information, I spent $800 on advertising to support the listing.

When the auction concluded, the highest bid was $7,000 — significantly below both the figure discussed and my acceptable range. I declined the sale and retained the car. Shortly after, I received an invoice for a $2,000 “buyers fee” despite the fact that the sale was not completed.

While I understand the terms and conditions may allow such fees, I believe the advice and expectations I was given prior to listing were not aligned with the outcome, and this left me feeling misled.

Based on my experience, I recommend that future sellers carefully review the terms in detail and consider whether alternative selling options may better protect their interests.

Car advertised elsewhere, they called trying to persuade me to list with them. They said listing was free but had to use THEIR photographer for a cost of $300, in which I'd get 300 pics taken. I didn't have that many pics taken on my wedding day and if you look at their listings you'll fall asleep looking at 20 pics of the top left wheel nut.Providing them with your own professional pics is not an option. in your listing, but omit the same information on other similar car listings. This disagreement cost me valuable time and money during a stressful and time critical event in my life. EDIT - Collecting Cars also refused to take the car off its site despite not having a contract with me or fulfilling their obligations. This has a negative impact on my efforts to sell my car privately. I'm shocked at their unethical and unscrupulous behaviour. Their repeated refusal to remove my car from their site despite not having a contract in place with me or any intention to enter a contract was only repealed once I logged complaints with the ACCC and Fair Trading.
