The sale of our car via Carma was an excellent experience, simple and straight forward with none of the distrust you often feel when buying and selling cars. I’d highly recommend them.
Friends recommended Carma after their positive experience. We bought a car…. and then bought a second one because we had such a positive experience! Buying the cars was easy and stress free. Everyone we dealt with was lovely! Brandon delivered both cars. He was extremely helpful and friendly. We highly recommend Carma for both buying and selling. Show reply
My experience with Carma completely changed after payment. Before buying, communication was excellent. After purchasing a Peugeot 2008 with 35,000 km, the delivery was delayed and I was eventually told the car had developed an issue while being driven from the warehouse to my address and had to return to the workshop. I repeatedly contacted… Read more
support asking for updates and even offered to switch to another vehicle and pay the difference, but no real solution was provided. I kept being told to “wait until tomorrow” for updates that never meaningfully came.
What concerned me most was seeing the exact same vehicle relisted for sale almost immediately after I requested cancellation, despite Carma itself saying the car had an issue serious enough to stop delivery.
Mechanical issues can happen. The lack of urgency, communication, and after-sales support was the disappointing part.

Honestly one of the easiest and most stress-free experiences I’ve had buying a car. Everything was laid out so clearly step-by-step, I always knew exactly what to do and what was happening next. No confusion, no pressure — just smooth the whole way through. Customer service was incredible too. Super friendly, helpful, and actually made the experience enjoyable. Absolutely love my new car and would 100% recommend to anyone thinking about it. Show reply
Never knew selling a car would be so easy and secure! Service and communication was excellent! Best valuation! Going forward I wouldn’t do it any other. I’ll be back Carma! Show reply
Very good website to navigate. Price offered was very good in comparison with other offers. Providing preliminary information online was easy and on day of the sale documents required was clearly explained. The transfer process went smoothly and money transfer instantaneous. This is a reputable company which can be highly recommended. Show reply
Sold my car through Carma yesterday and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. From the first call to the handover, the entire process took just a couple of hours. They were fast, efficient and friendly, made everything incredibly easy, valued the car very fairly and even organised the finance payout for me. Mitch, who handled my… Read more · 1
assessment and handover, was excellent – professional, clear and great to deal with. The fact they also organised an Uber home was a brilliant touch. Very highly recommended.
By contrast, I also tried selling through Carsales.com.au and found it expensive and ineffective – in my experience, it was actually worse than using Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree. I won’t be using them again or recommending them based on this experience.
I hope whoever buys our car is as happy with her as we were.
Thanks Carma.
Ted Ana Jackie and Brendan thank you for the easiest experience to get my new car. Show 2 replies
I found Carma to be very helpful, efficient, friendly, contactable and fair with their quote. Daniel did a quick assessment of my car and they had the agreed money in my bank account, within the hour. He even booked and paid for an Uber to take me home. I would certainly get them to give you a value, as there quote was considerably more than trade in offers I’d received. Peter Show reply

Buying my Mazda CX-30 through Carma was such a smooth and stress-free experience. Everything was clear and easy from the start, which really took away the usual worries of buying a car. buyer. Their service was definitely above 5 stars.
I’m really happy with my new car and would highly recommend Carma to anyone looking for a simple, honest, and reliable way to buy a car.
Carma was quick and very efficient. I sold my 2013 Golf in no time. I was getting nowhere on Carsales, although I was probably asking for too much on an 11 year old car. I think the valuation by Carma was much more realistic. I was surprised that the car would be sold on the day I went to have it inspected. They were transparent in their valuation… Read more · 1
of the car. They even arranged for Uber to get me home from the inspection site, and paid for it! I'm very happy with the whole process.
It was an absolute pleasure purchasing a car through carma! i would definitely recommend! everyone i had communication with about the car and the financing was incredibly nice and a joy to talk with, both via email and phone, and they explained some pretty complicated things so well that it made it simple enough to understand. My daughter suggested I sell my car through Carma, and I’m so glad I did! Daniel came out when scheduled and I sold it on the prearranged day. I was offered a lot more than the car yards! Show 2 replies

I sold my RAV4 through Carma. Got a competitive offer ($7500 more than what Toyota offered for a "instant valuation"). Very simple process, straight forward. No fuss. Money transferred while I waited and they paid for an uber to get me home. Show reply
Follow-up · No regrets. They sold my car in about 3 weeks and made a $4k premium, but I noticed they'd fixed scuffed rims and detailed it well and advertised it all over the place. I still feel like I got a reasonable deal. On the day it took about an hour. They checked service history, walked around the car and checked inside and out. They didn't actually… Read more
Bought a 2023 model-year Subaru Outback and have rued the day ever since. Caveat-Emptor ran through my mind the following day as the battery failed and could not be revived causing the car to become stranded and insecure, thankfully on the driveway:… Read more
All that had lead to the failure was setting up the personal info into the damned system: phone, driver preferences, basics! This required the ignition to be on, but no engine running. A/C off windows down, hot day...well, dear punters, the car was dead. I managed to buy a new battery and fitted it, and all was good, but the taint was there... In the days that followed, I noted defects on the body- minor blemishes that had not been recorded in the images of the vehicle on the rotunda. I also noted the state of the engine bay- leaf litter and other organic debris. after a week or so, I received a survey prompt and delivered my verdict only to received a limp wristed response from someone up the chain...incredulity and slithery charm- "this can not be, sir...the battery was perfect when it was collected...", yes, the car was running, but the battery was, according to research at end of life despite the Carma protestations that a stop-start battery is good for many years...give me strength, they're as bad as real estate agents in shiny suits and ready smiles. I was a reminded of the gentleman outfitters: "its a good fit Sir, fits like a glove... sticks out in five places! Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Follow-up · New battery was fine. Blemishes were hard to polish out and most certainly not superficial. Engine bay looked 32 months old and cleaned up nicely with a proper clean- not hard to do.

I would not recommend buying a car from Carma if you expect it to arrive roadworthy. I purchased a 2016 Mazda MX-5 interstate, and while the buying process and customer support were initially excellent, the car failed its Victorian roadworthy inspection shortly after delivery despite having passed a pink slip. I understand the car was driven… Read more
from Sydney to Melbourne, but a single trip should not result in two failing engine mounts or rear tyres measuring 1 mm tread the very next morning.
The accredited inspector measured both rear tyres at 1 mm tread (below the 1.5 mm legal minimum) and identified failing left and right engine mounts that required replacement to meet Victorian standards. It’s concerning that tyres at this level of wear could pass a pink slip at all.
After receiving a $1,800 repair quote, we lodged a warranty claim. This turned into a five-day dispute where the official roadworthy report was largely dismissed. Carma stated the engine mounts were not collapsed and rejected clear tyre photos because one tyre appeared acceptable, despite the inspector documenting a 1 mm measurement at the lowest point.
In the end, we were offered only $500 as a “gesture of goodwill,” leaving us $1,300 out of pocket. We also had to reschedule registration and were without a car for five days during the dispute.
Overall, a very disappointing experience after what started as a smooth purchase.

the value of my trade and and already had an idea what I wanted. They exceeded my expectations. As a buyer you also get - a 7 day grace where you can return your vehicle if its not for you - 12 months free roadside assistance - an authoritative (RMS) inspection report - you can not loose. I get it, buying via the web for some is not for them, and it wasn't for me until I read some of the reviews, but you really should investigate this as a way to buy/upgrade/sell your vehicle. Communication was exemplary - I run a business too - and I was impressed with how well I was kept informed of so many aspects of the sale. Carma will become the next big shift in the way we buy and sell cars for personal use and I can honestly say I would be a fool to set foot in a car yard again. Give it a go, and if honest and fair dealing isn't your thing then blame me.
Follow-up · I still find myself reflecting on how good an experience that was from start to finish. Ironically they also don't bombard you with marketing, instead you receive the occasional email. Go ahead and prove to yourself you are smarter than the average savvy car buyer.
Carma is a new and effective way to sell a car. We decided rather unexpectedly to buy a new car, which meant selling the old. Trade-in with the dealer was likely lowballed, but selling privately can be a huge hassle and take time - particularly given that over the years the car had collected typical scuff and rim rash damage that private buyers… Read more · 1
don’t like.
I sent the details to Carma, including photos and description of where the vehicle was less than pristine. Within 24 hours they sent me a decent, fair offer. I spoke with them to proceed. They could have inspected and settled the next day, but it suited us to wait for a couple of days. That was no problem and we booked it in for a time that suited my schedule.
I arrived at the purchase inspection centre, was greeted by the guy there confirmed their offer subject to inspection and he outlined the process. He quickly agreed the condition was as I described - no arguments about condition - and confirmed they would buy at that price.
A few minutes to do the paperwork and the money was in my bank account before I left.
I had all the correct paperwork because their office had called and emailed with a detailed list of everything they needed. Having hardcopies streamlined the process over what I saw the previous seller do.
If I am ever selling a car again I will definitely use Carma again

provided by Carma, only to find that no option exists on their own webform to include any model All the mandatory information was provided as per their webform, and then basically car was then reassessed and undervalued Surely, a level fo responsibility is with Carma to ensure that the information that is being provided on their own platform is correct, and the information that is being provided by the consumer is done on good faith The experience was more of a "hey let's these people in" and just make up nonsense to try and knock down the price....

This process was easy. From the initial phone consult to the inspection. I dealt with a couple of wholesalers prior Carma and both made the process unenjoyable.
