Commbank holds on to my money – Tried to make a payment to a well known licensed (with AUSTRAC) crypto exchange (SWYFTX). Despite making the same transfer several times in the past, Commbank fraud department asked for me to call and validate the payment and verbally agree that Commbank were not at risk. Happily did this but Commbank proceeded and reversed the transaction. As I had triggered the monthly transfer limit for the month, Commbank declined the following payment. Here's the irony - I invest in crypto (BTC) as store of wealth and because there is no counter-party risk to owning it, meaning it avoids the risk that someone (ie Commbank) will tell me what I can or can't do with my money.
