Excellent computer for an excellent price – Short version: Purchased a Dell Optiplex 9020 Business-class Desktop (Refurbished). Wholeheartedly recommend you go here for your computer needs, whatever they may be. They offer a very good range of business quality laptops and desktops at excellent prices. They also repair. Best of all though, you'll receive friendly service from exceptionally knowledgeable people.
Long-term relationship orientated business. I'll definitely buy from them again.
Detailed version:
There's more than a few things that are great about buying from the Computer Clearance Centre. Of course a good price is always welcome, but with high price items like this it's usually not the deciding factor for me. I'd rather pay a little more in return for a higher quality of service, both at the time of purchase and afterwards. However, in the case of the Computer Clearance Centre, not only is the level of service exceptional, but the price is brilliant too.
I do a lot of design work, creating learning materials, eLearning courses, as well as proof-reading and editing. That requires a high-spec and very fast computer. A few weeks back, in the middle of a major editing project, my laptop started developing faults. It appeared highly likely that it would soon give up the ghost - which by the weekend it subsequently did. Due to its age, it wasn't worth repairing, and it also gave me the excuse I needed to splurge on an upgrade, so after some research I created my "must have" list and visited the Computer Clearance Centre.
Now normally, I'll visit a few places, do as much further research as time allows, before I finally make a decision and buy. However, this was one of those rare cases where the level of product knowledge, quality of product, warranty terms and price made it an easy choice. I bought on the spot and I'm very pleased to say I did the right thing.
Though I was primarily in the market for a laptop - like the portability - I ended up buying a desktop (specifications listed below). One of my major concerns was noise because when you're doing creative work, and spending many hours doing it, the last thing you want is distracting sounds. Speed is another important factor, as is reliability. Well, this desktop is everything that I was promised it would be. It's so quiet you wouldn't know it was on except for the power button light, and the fact that you were using it. Working with graphics and video is so much easier and faster than it was with my laptop, and there have been zero issues to date. And if any problems do occur, I feel very confident that they will deal with them rapidly and effectively.
