Fitted four CONTINENTAL CROSS CONTACT AX6s 265x60-18 s on my 2012 Jeep Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland diesel, based in NZ.Have done 10500ks in three months driving in NZ ,wear looks average for the rough sharp chip on many NZ roads! If these tyres make 40000 ks I will be surprised! Quite a smooth riding tyre, good in the wet ,one big drawback the… Read more

tread pattern picks up stones and wont throw them out! First time it happened the whine, buzzing noise was so loud ,thought the diif had gone! Will review further in another 10000k

Got them on a new BYD ATTO3. They were basically bald in 15,000 kms when they are supposed to last roughly 45-50,000. We called the company who fobbed us off to a guy who looked at a picture I sent and said the alignment looks like it might be… Read more

slightly out of the recommended BYD alignment. Even though we'd just had our tyres checked 2 days prior and this wasn't the case. A $1,000 mistake getting these things. They also leave black marks everywhere they go so you're constantly sweeping your garage up.

Follow-up  · -Yeah, no trouble with other tyres. -Just rinsed them off and scrubbed a little -The garage has said our tyres tread was extremely low and they needed replacing. They had not noted anything regarding alignment issues etc. on the documentation for their check of our car despite the company deeming this is likely why they wore fast based on the picture.

⭐️ Personal Review: Continental eContact 255/45R19 104W (ContiSeal + ContiSilent) I recently upgraded to the Continental eContact 255/45R19 104W tyres with ContiSeal and ContiSilent technologies, and the difference has been impressive. These tyres feel softer and more comfortable compared to the stock Hankook tyres that came with my vehicle. The… Read more

ride quality has significantly improved, especially over bumps and uneven surfaces. One of the standout features for me is how quiet these tyres are. Thanks to the ContiSilent foam layer, road noise is drastically reduced – it’s noticeably quieter inside the cabin, making highway driving much more pleasant.

Another big advantage is the ContiSeal technology. Since most EVs don’t come with a spare tyre, having a sealant system built into the tyre itself gives me peace of mind. It’s designed to automatically seal punctures up to 5mm, which means I’m protected from around 80% of common road punctures. That’s a huge relief and makes long trips less stressful.

✅ Summary of My Experience: Ride Comfort: Soft and smooth, absorbs road imperfections well

Noise Level: Much quieter than my previous Hankooks

Safety: ContiSeal gives added security without needing a spare

Ideal for EVs: Especially great for EVs that need quiet, efficient tyres

Overall, I’m very happy with the performance and comfort of these Continental tyres. If you’re driving an EV and value peace, comfort, and reliability – especially in a car without a spare – these are a fantastic upgrade.

Poor value – Great grip but no more than any other tyre, 2010 Ford Mondeo XR5 30,000km out of a set, changed to Toyo and drove just as well. Then in 2016 bought a Hyundai Tuscon Highlander 30,000km needed new tyres so bought another set of Continentals (stupidity as they were $1600), then sold that in 2020 and bought a Mazda 3 Astina fitted with Toyo tyres… Read more

42,000km and 50% tread left and it drives like its on rails(images are of currentToyo tyres after 40k. Don't recommend Continental for Australian roads.

Don't rely on (In-)Continental tyre warranty – Had a defect tyre replaced with Continental. 'Blew up' on the freeway and by the time I could safely pull over, the tyre was shredded. It was replaced after the workshop examined it for external impact as possible cause for the tyre failure, but was unable to find anything, replaced and disposed of it. Continental under their warranty insisted on… Read more

examining the tyre themselves (which was not possible) and didn't accept workshop's report. Despite just having had to recall 180k tyres for manufacturing faults, admittedly of a different size. Nonetheless, no refund. Their warranty, like a verbal contract, not worth the paper it's written on and tyres should be renamed 'In-continental' as they can't seem able to hold air.

Worst tyres I’ve ever had! – I bought these 'Conti 7s' as they were touted as the new 'ants pants of tyres' to replace my original from new car tyres - Hankooks, which beautifully wore for almost 52,000kms. Kms today 19th June - 55,800. Set of four (4) XL SportContact 7 Continental tyres - 265/35R20 fitted 10th of April @ $2380! In 3,800kms, l've had 2 punctured tyres and a… Read more

split beading on another requiring replacement!! NEVER have I EVER had such crap tyres!! Not cheap at $605 per tyre either! If I could l'd replace them in a heartbeat. Latest puncture fixed today. I'm driving no where different to where I have in the life of this car and driving style is no different. So you know - l'm a female driver in my early 50s with plenty of driving experience. l love driving my car (2021 S Line 40 Q3 Sportback), but am now honestly; literally paranoid driving on these Conti 7 tyres - If I drive out tomorrow, what are my chances of getting home without ANOTHER puncture!? Do yourself a favor- DONT waste your money on SportContact 7 Continentals!

Continental PremiumContact tyres – Continental PremiumContact tyres offer good value and safety with a comfortable ride and quietness. They are unfortunately made in China which has taken 1 star off my review.

Bad quality tyres – i bought 4 run flats for Mercedes GLC and lasted only 13 months (21,000 km), after taking the car to the tyre shop during the year under tyre care plan. To my view you will not get much milage on these tyres.. so be ready to get less milage when you buy, then you will not be disappointed.

Continental Run Flats Tyre Side Wall Split – I’ve currently got Continental Run Flats and in the last 12 months had the side wall of the tyre bubble and split open on the front driver side. That was March 2023. On Wed 20 March 2024, the same happened on the front passenger side. Not sure if I got a bad batch the last time I changed them but I had done less than 10,000 kms on the tyres. It might be time to change to Pirelli?

Continental TechContact TC6 – I am fanatical about tyres. So far, this tyre, a 225/55/R19, has proven itself to be quite the performer in all conditions (excluding extremely cold weather that produces as ice/snow). In wet weather tyre is responsive to cornering, and is a strong performer in displacing water on highways or deep water running across the road. In hot dry… Read more

conditions, the tyre continues to feel firm and the car does not become loose on corners like some other tyres do in the heat. Overall comfort is great and road noise low, which is outstanding for a low profile tyre. We could not be happier with the purchase and would be delighted to recommend these to anyone driving a small SUV such a Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV-4, or similar sized vehicle.

The absolute CONTACT – Having clocked slightly over 14000ks, the grip the tyres still has on the road is amazing especially when turning. You get that confidence to hit the road again and again and enjoy value for your money. I think Continental Premium contact is the absolute CONTACT whether dry or wet. Well done.

The best, kindest mechanic ever, and so professional – Best mechanic in Subiaco. I highly recommend Tarik. He is fair, honest and reliable. SOO professional. He explained everything to me. I had terrible, cheap tyres that I bought from a previous tyre shop and wheel alignment that was off the charts that I was never told. Continental picked this up straight away. I will never go anywhere… Read more

else. I just stumbled into their workshop next to Vibe petrol just wanting to check my tyre pressure. BEST stumble I ever made. Top blokes.

75k and going strong – So happy with these tyres thought I would share the experience. Put Continental Crosscontact tyres own my Mazda CX 5 for over 75k now and looks like getting at least another 10+k out of them. Definitely will replace with same tyre. Good value.

Worst tyre after 35 years of driving – Purchased full set of four continental tyres for my Ford Territory when on special buy three get one free. Worst decision ever. Within 10,000kms I had three tyre walls split. Bob Jane who sold and fitted them didn’t want to know. I asked to have the contact details of their sales rep at continental so I could report and discuss but they refused.… Read more

Don’t buy these tyres. No after sales service from the manufacturer or the fitter bob Jane. I’ve never split a tyre before and I just kept getting told I must have hit something - three times. Beyond disappointing.

Saved by the ContinentalTyers – All the passengers are happy now. Service and location from Kmart was excellent. Continental tyres radial tubless topped the lot. Our Basset hound Mr Tibbs no longer becomes travel sick. We changed the tyres and just as if you turned the page in a book the very next time he was a passenger in the van he enjoyed the trip without travel sickness. Now he wants to be first in the van. HOW AMAZING IS THAT.

Excellent tyres, especially in wet weather! – I changed my tyres to Continental UC6 back in March, but waited till now to write the review as I wanted to see how it performs in the wet. Previously I have used Bridgestone, Bob Janes, and Federal brand tyres, but so far I have been most impressed with the Continental brand and its performance in wet weather. The local branded tyres I've used… Read more

previously, did not grip in the wet (a fact noted by other consumers who have provided reviews on other sites, such as Whirlpool). So I was curious to try Continental to see how they perform. So far so good - the grip in the wet has been exemplary. I just need to assess the longevity of these tyres now. Average mileage I've been getting for other brands have been as low as 45,000kms to as high as 60,000 kms, with the average being 50,000 kms. This is my 6th set of tyres (car has 260,000 kms on the odometer), so it will be interesting to see how much I can get out of this set. I purchased these from Continental Subiaco, WA, and their service and all up price (including fitting & wheel alignment) could not be matched by any others closer to my home suburb! I certainly do recommend them to others.

Underperforming - Potentially Dangerous – I purchased four new Continental Tyres last year in Bondi based on a recommendation. Within a month the front right tyre developed a bulge in the sidewall, this tyre was replaced by the manufacturer. Then the rear left tyre had a gouge out of it apparently I hit a curb very hard yet no damage to my wheel or car panels. Manufacture didn't want to… Read more

know me. Then about two weeks ago my right rear tyre went flat, the sidewall had split. Manufacturer didn't want to know and again blamed my driving. I paid $2000 for four new tyres and I have had to pay $1000 to replace two of these. To make matters worse the tyres will not last 40,000kms which when compared to my previous tyres which lasted 55,000 kms is pretty bad in itself. I raised the matter directly with the company and they simply didn't want to know. I even received a threatening email from the Marketing Manager to stop airing my views on their poor product and the less than acceptable performance of the tyres given how much I paid for them.

The lack of customer service by this company is appalling. It smacks of arrogance and a don't care attitude by these people.

Fantastic Customer Service – It was very very hot when I took my car to Continental Tyres at Nailsworth. This did not stop the guys from doing their job professionally. The quality of the work done was fantastic, whilst the attitude of these guys was nothing short of tremendous. THANK YOU.
