It’s very good, just sometimes noisy – I’ve had it for I don’t remember how long now it’s been noisy, but I figured out how to make it quiet, recline it all the way back another thing I don’t really like is it there’s no oscillation light I would say that The power output is good. even on minimum speed And functions are useful. Just the breeze function needs a little and it is very stable even when reclined all the way back Show details ·  1

Easy to move around and tilt!!! but less effective after 2 years – In the beginning (let there be cool air) the output was amazing but after 2 years it doesn't seem to cool as well. It's still an awesome fan and I love love love how easy this fan is to move around the house because it's lightweight and takes up like no space. It also has an amazing tilt function which is really useful because the air direction is… Read more ·  1

restricted by the height and tilting means it can be directed up to an almost 45 degree angle to push more air around rather than just across a room. The timer can be set from 1/2 hour up to 7 hours in half hour increments!! The oscillation angle is pretty generous. It has never skipped a beat, but my only negative is the fact that it doesn't seem to be as effective as it gets older. I think there might be build up inside that can't be got at with a vacuum. I'd still recommend it over a pedestal fan.

Just right for the Bedroom – low speed is quiet enough that you will not notice its running. max speed can be noisy. sleep function is useful especially in between summer and winter months. dont really use the breeze and sleep functions but its there if you need it, so thats a plus. its not a Dyson but it does the job well and for fraction of the price, happy camper here.  Show details

Average – I bought the Convair CTF10 1 year ago and it was great for a shirt while. It's now extremely noisy and disruptive when trying to sleep. Even in its early days the night 'breeze' mode was very noisy as it powered up and down. Would I recommend this fan to another person then the answer is NO!  Show details

Powerful Fan to Keep us Cool in the Heat – Overall I am happy with this fan as it blows out nice cool air when we need it most. There are many settings to choose from and I love it where I can choose to run only 1 fan or 3 fans when needed. However, the only setback is its base where it seems a little flimsy. Hence, I have to hold on to the tower fan firmly on its base in order to move it. Otherwise, it may get thrown out of its locked position on the base.  Show details

Just Perfect – It is super quite. I have it for almost two month now, perfect in everything but it is pricy, almost double price the other brands for example Sunbeam is only $89. There is no temperature display like some other brands. Night mode is useless because its already super quite. Overall alright fan with powerful 40 watt motor does a great job and We are so happy with it.  Show details

Quite effective fan – A quite fan that has a very compact design with all the features you need and a few more you would not expect but appreciate. Great to use as a fan in the bedroom as it is so quite, compact and has a timer that has many settings. So far so good as nothing seems to be a problem with it. The reviews on this site were all positive and that is what i… Read more

Nice construction and effective airflow – The CTF10 is the best tower fan I've owned. PROS: It has the most solid construction I've seen in a tower fan, it tilts and the handle at the top is a great addition. It includes timer presets which are useful as the fan will automatically turn off 1,2,3,4 hours later when the night temperature cools down. I've now used it for 2 summers and… Read more

transported it from city to city and it's working perfectly.

CONS:

The function setting feedback sound is unnecessarily loud. The sound level of the fan itself measures at 50dB from my bed which is a little too loud for my preference. Fans which are quieter than 50dB tend to be specialised models which exceed the $300 price tag.

VERDICT

I definitely recommend this fan if you’re not too sensitive to sound like me. Rest assured that I’ll update this review in the future if anything goes wrong.

Great fan – Just bought this fan at good guys Bankstown based on the reviews. It's quite powerful even on low and not as quiet as reviewed but really good. There is also a little ticking sound when using the oscillating option. The option of tilting is fantastic. Strange folks are saying it's discontinued as I purchased it 31st Dec16. Super happy - especially at night – After seeing good reviews on this website, I decided to buy this fan as a last option before getting air conditioning. It really makes a difference on a 25 degree or above night - the breeze mode is quiet, moves the air around, and as a consequence it feels like many degrees lower. The tower shape and the tilt back feature makes the breeze feel pretty natural and is effective. I love it, and I haven't yet used the fan on high in a heat wave.

Finally a good tower fan!! – I bought 2 Sunbeam retro tower fans, then read bad reviews, so bought one of these convair CTF10's as well (for our bedrooms). After 2 weeks the sunbeam ones started rattling, I returned them & replaced with more convairs. This fan is really quiet, great at night while sleeping. Also only 1 small, green light which doesn't disturb. I love it!! Lowest setting several metres away from the bed is enough to keep us cool.

Great fan for the bedroom! – I was looking for a fan that wasn't 2 loud for my bedroom! I also like the stylish look of this fan compare to other brands and the remote is also cool which saves me from getting out of bed if I need to turn the fan speed up or down. It also has a sleep function!

So far very happy with my new Convair CTF10 – Pedestal fans are great... but where do you keep then in winter. Way to bulky for my apartment. I bought the Convair from The Good Guys. Choose this one over others because they have had mixed reviews. The fan is quiet and offers reasonable room coverage. Not as powerful as a pedestal fan, but still pretty good. Best features... Pleasing to the… Read more

eye, small footprint, quiet, oscillation, tilt back feature, variable natural wind feature, remote control.

Negatives... Not as powerful as a pedestal fan.
