Not even lasted 40K on a Discovery 3. Overpriced. Warranty is a joke – Had the tyres for only 39K and had to replace them. The guy from Tyrepower Blackwood said that the warranty would be applied proportional only. The tyres are completely worn on the outside of the track beyond the legal limit. I did not opt for a warranty replacement as I would have ended up with the same brand. In my opinion, the tyre warranty… Read more

is a bit of a joke and is a perception of quality only. They have you hooked as you might think that you are getting a good deal. Cooper Tyres are heavily promoted in Australia as providing superior tread wear. I no longer buy into these advertising promises and rather do my own research.

I now bought Kuhmo Road Venture SAT KL61, which are a fraction of the price with very good tread wear. I paid $250 per tyre compared to nearly $400 for the cooper. I remember Kuhmo tyres from when I was living in Germany. They are extremely popular in Germany amongst BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Volkswagen owners.

Don't believe what they the Cooper ads tell you and do your own research. they provided reasonable good grip very lousy tread wear and misleading advertising as well as the tread wear warranty joke.

Good for Road and Sand – The Cooper HT Plus were on my Jackaroo when I bought it and have done well on both bitumen and dirt roads. They made no noise and gave good economy. I really liked them in the sand and were able to take me wherever I wanted to go whilst others were getting stuck. I have replaced them with the new Cooper AT3s as I wanted to take to the rougher… Read more

tracks they still looked like they had plenty of tread but were not as sure footed as I would have liked in the wet in the end. Sand driving Not as good in the wet at the end

Bad – The Cooper H/T Plus does not meet Toyo's Open Country H/T wet cornering and aquaplaning control. Coopers side walls are not heavily reinforced like Toyo's which keeps the tyre bulge to a minimum. Coopers cost more but won't meet Toyo's 80,000kms on a set of tyres. But Coopers Highway Tyre grips better in the sand and soft snow better than Toyo's.… Read more

Decent sand grip for a highway terrain tyre. Cost. Coopers Tire won't test this tyre against the Toyo Open Country H/T which is a better tyre.

Was really happy till six months ago – Tyres have done 45000k and still have probably at least another 30 in them ,but their grip has fallen away dramatically in the last 5000k,now to be fair to the tyre they are approaching four years old and maybe the compound has gone off. When I bought them ,the R/Rover was doing 30k a year at least,Fraser Island, fire trails etc regularly ,85% on… Read more

road and I could not complain, last two years(company car)usage down to 6-8k per year, then wife complained it wouldnt stop in the wet one day, took car for a drive in wet and ABS was going nuts, swapped tyres with a mates and grip returned, So I would suggest that if you do lots of k's in shortspace of time, they will be great all round, otherwise go for a different tyre,as I said ,they still have 30 k left in them ,but are dangerous in wet,so last 30k wear is a waste as I have to fit new tyres now for car to be safe,oh and they now track ruts too, rotations done every 5k. Great when new, good grip on all surfaces and fairly neutral steering. Grip has gone with tyres just over 50% worn, maybe age has affected?

Excellent – I am not to sure why anyone would want to compare the HT plus cooper to the Toyo open country HT, since there is only one size they even both do the same tyre in???? And to the best of my knowledge the Toyo doesn't come with a klm gaurantee either. The coopers on my wife's 2010 Kluger (275/45/20's on Advanti Shine's) are performing more than… Read more ·  1

admirably, look great, and are showing little to no wear after 12,000kms, and came with a written guarantee to do 60,000kms. I have punted it along rainy roads in the otway's on some of the slipperiest roads you will encounter no problems, and they take gravel and sand in their stride. Obviously a kluger is never going to follow my GU up a goat track, but as far as a durable allrounder goes on our soft roader, 10 out of ten!!!! So having had, STT's & ATR's & currently using ST's, a ten year old set of 35" AT's and now HT plus(yes I have a few cars), more than happy. Another quality product from the boys and girls at Cooper!!! Great looking tyre, awesome in sand and gravel. As with any tyre going to do a lot of klms, not super sticky.
