Disappointing experience – Disappointing and disgraceful treatment of employees. I was able to make vast improvements in the short time I was there and guided the new marketing manager on many things needed in marketing. I am glad the company finally listened to one of my requests from week 1 to get a GoPro (although they bought it last minute and handed it to me to start… Read more

filming with it the same day months later out of the blue although we didn't have any plans). I literally decided to go ahead and learn with my first DJI drone flight yesterday, and my position was made redundant today. So it could have been great, but not when there is a new manager eager to remove you for no good reason, waste a valuable employee and replace me with marketing agency staff.

If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy experience, avoid Cornell Corp and all its entities, Cornell Diesel Systems, CFI Australia, CFI Global, and DCA Group. I don’t normally write reviews like this, but feel it is worth warning others of the unscrupulous way they treat employees. I was poached from secure employment to work for them as they were my former employer and they desperately needed my expertise as I had managed the marketing department in the past. Just under four months later, they made my position redundant. It’s almost as if they targeted my position alone to outsource to an agency whilst the rest of the marketing team (including the Marketing Manager and two newly advertised positions) which can also be easily outsourced exactly the same way, remain intact. I didn’t have any issues here, apart from the new clueless Marketing Manager who I suspected was a jerk all along and made no effort to readily include me in marketing meetings or conversations, and negative attitudes from a few staff members that make you question if you are working with colleagues or enemies, and a handful of unpleasant comments about the marketing team that were certainly not what I expected from a “professional” organisation. Eventually, I felt like the manager was making an effort to include me, but it was all false - he ignored me most of the time and spent hours building his profile and reputation. I don't think he knows how to manage people, just his reputation. I got to do what I loved for a short duration, and was forced to do other tasks as they hadn't employed the right people, and the poor financial management meant that we couldn't even pay for any marketing requirements such as ads or apps that were essential for my role. I didn’t have any performance issues or personal issues. They decided to treat me this way without any consultation and call it a redundancy (even though they advertised this external agency in the ad for the new marketing coordinator position over a month ago so they had been planning this and it wasn’t a genuine redundancy as this position was not filled). So, I warn anyone who doesn’t want to deal with jerks, stay well clear.
