first red flag) , no proper premises at all, and then takes my windscreen out , and leaves me waiting there almost 4 hours,(second red flag) with no windscreen ,in an open public car park , no cover at all , next to a park ,and clouds of rain coming . I Called him , messaged him , no response at all until I said I’m leaving without any windscreen . Yeah , I was that upset , waiting and waiting and waiting !!! Then he finally installs it and sticks yellow sticky tape all around my windscreen and says leave it on for a few hours !! actually a bit shook up. He suggested I call Melbourne Collission Centre at Mentone as he had a great experience previously. I called their number, they picked up within a few rings and spoke to a 'real' person. They were great, they put me at ease straight away and to be quite frank, simply took control of the situation on my behalf. I was provided with a 4WD hire car similar to mine, newer model actually, in around 50 minutes! I still find that service amazing to this day. Throughout the process I was given weekly updates, sometimes twice a week, with images of my car showing works being done, the overall progress even when inspections were being done. All this helped reduce the stress of it all. And when all was done, the car was delivered to my home just after 6pm when I get home and it is just perfect! If you too end up in the wrong place at the wrong time like me don't hesitate to call Melbourne Collision Repair Centre Mentone they take care of everything. Simply first class.

My father engaged Ace Mechanics to repair his Mercedes and was invoiced for a “New Genuine SAM Module.” The repair ended up costing close to $4,000.

Shortly after the repair, the vehicle developed further issues. When we asked the business to provide basic documentation identifying the unit supplied (such as the supplier invoice or serial number), they were unwilling to provide any evidence of the part that was actually installed in the vehicle, despite charging for a “New Genuine SAM Module.”

My father is a pensioner and relies on access to the boot of the car for his mobility aid. The fault affecting the boot means the vehicle cannot be used independently, which has effectively left him unable to leave home without assistance and caused significant stress.

If the business chooses to respond to this review, I will be happy to attach the supporting documentation from this dispute, which demonstrates our repeated requests for evidence of the unit installed and the business’s refusal to disclose this information.

paid, arrived at appointment time. Went to do some shopping and got a call saying the wrong size tyres were ordered and the only ones they have to suit are almost $200 more. I decided to wait till they ordered the correct size at $100 more than I was quoted. Went to the next scheduled appointment two days later, 15 minutes later was informed that they couldn’t find the lug to remove my tyres so couldn’t do the job. Oh yeah. That payment I made via the link. I waited over a week to get it back. Had I not called asking where it was after 5 days, who knows how long they’d have been earning interest on it. Go anywhere else.

smell, especially during Summer. As you can see our carpet came out looking and smelling great, we went with car odour treatment for this. We also got my peugoet fixed too because the material on the roof inside the car was sagging in a few places. We had someone else come to do this the day after and had it done in less than a couple of hours only. Lovely people, thanks again. This will be the last time we leave the eggs on the rear seat whilst driving.

Yes, a battery was included in the work, but the price charged for it — along with the overall invoice — was, in our view, completely unreasonable. As a young driver with limited mechanical knowledge, he trusted the advice he was given. Unfortunately, that trust was not respected.

What made the situation even more concerning was that he was also told the car needed new tyres, even though those tyres had only travelled about 10,000 km. Our previous set of the same tyres lasted roughly 40,000 km, so that recommendation immediately raised serious questions.

After reading through many other reviews, it is hard not to notice similar concerns being raised repeatedly — high bills, unexpected recommendations, and customers leaving feeling they were pushed into work they did not truly understand or expect. Several reviews from women and younger customers describe very similar experiences, which is troubling.

Before the standard response appears saying “we can’t find the booking”, “this isn’t an authentic review”, or “there was a video explaining the work”, let me be clear:

• This was a real visit to Auto Masters Canning Vale • The date was 04-02-2026 • The invoice total was over $2,400 • One of the recommendations was for new tyres at only 10,000 km

The issue isn’t that work was done — the issue is pricing, transparency, and trust. When a young person takes their car in, they should receive honest guidance, not leave feeling like they have been talked into excessive costs.

I strongly suggest anyone — particularly young drivers, women, and families — get a second opinion before approving major work here.

In our view, this was not service — it was opportunistic selling dressed up as advice.

This experience left us feeling that a young customer was seen as an easy sale rather than someone who deserved honest advice.

company and can only agree with the other older reviews, mine was a private job (not through insurance) to repair damage to the back door of my suv which didn't look much but hidden beneath the panels a bit more damage had been sustained. I can only say the repairs where done immaculately, color match was really good and overall repair was really excellent and timely completed. Yes the premises compared to other shops probably doesn't look as good, but the repairs are very well done. If you are looking for a repair job in the Merrylands area I can only recommend them to do a good job.
