The Dyson G1 price that I paid was absolutely ridiculous( and that was supposedly on sale). It is once again on sale another $300.00 cheaper again. Then today I went there to purchase some particular items, two common items of clothing, not in stock, canned fruit, not in stock, short pastry not in stock and an advertised Ninja Slushie, not in stock. When we tried to pay for some items and membership card would not scan. Massive line-up at the manned registers. On the way out, I noticed a sign that the membership fee refunded if you are dissatisfied. The staff could not even process this transaction. We were then told the computer was down and we would have to return on another day to get our refund. So p????? off with this business, I will make the effort and return for my refund and never shop there again.
The manager (long hair with a plait) who was working 5pm 30 August at the membership counter showed the worse leadership and customer service I have seen for a very long time. officer to deal with a long line of customers. The woman looked at the long line and the customer service officer and walked off. A true leader would have jumped in and gave the staff member a hand. Culture comes from the top, I hope this manager is not reflective of the rest of the management team/Costco Culture.
Reasonable Fuel Prices but terrible equipment – When is costco going to do something to improve the quality of the scanners on their fuel bowsers. off unable to make a purchase. The staff present are not interested, their usual comment is that the scanners are crap. At the fuel station down the road the card always works first time.
Premium membership..not worth it for many – Really pushing premium membership. At 130.00 a year to join, you get 2% of your purchase $ back one s year. For us we spend about 1200.00 a year there so would get about $20 back. Not economical for most of us in my opinion. Also check prices first. Change to Costco Fuel Bowsers - What a Joke! – So Costco does a downgrade to their fuel bowsers in 2023? As other companies look at gaining efficiencies, Costco downgrades their card reading/payment system at their bowsers to something akin to 1990s technology - slow cumbersome and non-intuitive. You watch people pull up and spend at least 2-3 minutes trying to work out how to use the bowser.… Read more
When you have something that works relatively well and is intuitive; why put in place something that increases the time it takes to make a transaction. Counter-intuitive/STUPID! I would have thought that most retail sellers would want to increase their revenue per hour? Secondly; they have banned anything except trucks from filling up with diesel at the high flow bowser and reduced the maximum transaction amount on the other bowsers to $150. Long lines of 4wds, utes and vans at the normal bowsers whilst the high flow is empty. So basically any 4wd or van with over 100 litre capacity has to now do 2 separate transactions. If I was a manger at Costco I would sack the people in my organisation that are responsible for such poor foresight and stupidity.
Lake Macquarie Bakery – So helpful and friendly, we had to last minute cancel a special order because of car breakdown, staff so helpful, we offered to pay which seemed reasonable and fair enough to us, but nope, staff declined the offer, appreciated that we had at least call to advise.
