Never use the Optical Service
Paid over $600 for a pair of glasses, They constantly come loose and fall off my head. I have had them fixed constantly, and they were sent to the factory to be repaired. Still they are not usable.
22th September, 3:00pm. Extremely rude staff
My family and i entered Costco with a bright spirit after a great day out to only be destroyed by the lady at the front door with short blonde hair, old and wears glasses. I’m aware she’s doing her job HOWEVER, she can tell us about customer policy in a polite manner. As an asian family I don’t appreciate her breaking her words down in syllables- assuming we don’t understand english. We were unaware of the policies, she pointed at us saying ‘you, you and you’ (indicating how many people can come in with one card) and glared her eyes. This did n...ot happen to just our family but numerous others. I’ve seen many reviews of many of your staffs disgusting attitude. Fix this. One lady at the exit door today (5pm) was extremely welcoming and kind and i hope the rest of your staff learn a thing or two from her.
The staff are so rude
I would like to report one of your workers. On Saturday 7th September 12 noon ish, while checking out, my 2 year old son touched the receipt machine. My husband immediately told my son to not touch the machine. The operator, your employee, Dillon said to my son “I’ll cut your finger off!”. Dillon then paused realising what he had said and apologised. I don’t think this is appropriate behaviour or language for an employee of Costco to direct towards a 2 year old child. I would like a representative of your store to contact me via phone as soon as possible to discuss the matter further and provide me with feedback regarding your actions to rectify this behaviour in your staff. Kind regards, Melissa 0417979545
They dont answer their phone ???
Just trying to call them to ask a few quick questions, but they dont even answer their phone, same with the Ipswich store. Must be company policy to be arrogant, as usual with companies like these.
Bought a cooked chicken great price but not cooked properly red in near the bones of the legs and wings and pink still on the breast staff need to learn to cook them properly
Could be great but too much friction in too many ways
After you make a purchase you have a long wait to get out as there are lines of people pushing and jumping in front of each other to get their receipt checked off. The registers seem well manned and managed I dont know why they need this extra check exiting. Last weekend I spent 10mins waiting at the registers to finally go to pay. After that I waited another 10mins in the line to get out and be checked and there was a lot of pushing in front of each other and awkward moments. Really ruined the shopping experience so much that I will only go th...ere now on off peak times which means I cant go there when I want. Today my wife and I were busy working and we needed to get a few things we couldnt get on the weekend due avoiding the peak time rushes. So we told our son to grab our card and get what we needed. He was stopped at the front and our card was confiscated. So this means we can now only shop there when my wife and I have the time to go shopping. So now we cant have a good experience at peak times and can only shop there when my wife and I are free. These points of friction are increasing to the stage that the initial great experience and referring to many of my friends has now changed to I prefer going to Coles and Woolies and am telling friends and family to do the same. Shame could be such a better experience.

Where going to give you food poisoning
Well off to shop at Costco again thought I’d try and get one of there cheap chickens again they are big but it really puts me off when I get home and start to cut it up and it’s not cooked again it’s red raw around the bone and breast flesh still red and raw .
This is the 3rd time I’ve purchased these and 2 out 3 times there not cooked .
There cooking staff should be BBQ for this lack of skill to cook a chicken.
paid $60 to join but after this first experience I won't return. Rude staff at the door were impolite and off putting. Inside bargains were average, careful shopping elsewhere will get you as good or better savings. Bought fuel and they have you estimate how much you will get which is then taken from your bank with a promise to refund excess $ if you don't use the full amount. 10 days later and the $30 I didn't use is still not returned.
Ideal for those who understood costco policy
I felt compelled to put my 2 cents share on here after reading some bad reviews about Costco.
Firstly, $60 membership. Costco has clear policy... don’t do it if you don’t see the advantage of bulk buying. If you cannot afford to get a membership card or less likely to visit Costco, then don’t become a member.
Second, poor customer service are everywhere in Australia! Go to Bunnings for example.
Third, I hope for Costco to add more products like Clear and Free for sensitive skin (laundry).
Fourth, Costco fuel ofcourse will be long queue a...s its cheap. If you don’t want to wait for refund or change of your fuel, go to non Costco petrol station and pay more! I think Costco gives our local grocery a good competition because we are being ripped off well and truly!
They want you to pay before you can use their store?
This kind of store should be illegal in QLD. You have to pay to even go inside the store. Then everything in the store is like double the price of Coles or Woolworths. I wonder how much money the premier was given to allow this nasty company into our state.
What a waste of time and money
Really bad and humiliated customer experience. Have to stay in a queue for 50 min to get membership plastic card. And then stay in another queue to check my trolley before exit.
It was not at all cheap. Mostly everything was bulk and not practical.
I will not be renewing my membership once it expires.
Great Place to Shop
The Service provided by the Staff is exceptional. The product range is very very transient and there is a regular turnover of range.
The BBQ Chicken is the best value I have found. Their Take Home Pizza is fantastic.
Poor Customer Service
With their new store opening in Bundamba some 22 kms from my place I thought I'd go and check out their products and prices. I was advised that I had to join up before I could do this at a cost of $60. This I did on line some 3 weeks prior to their store opening. One week after opening I decided to go an collect my card and do some shopping. I took with me my confirmation email receipt for the $60. After waiting in line for 45 minutes I got to the admissions counter where after much discussion I was advised that they had no record of my joining.... The fact that I showed them the email receipt, carried no weight at all and I was told I would have to pay another $60 to continue into their store. This I declined and was then told to"take it up with Head Office" when I got home. Several emails and phone calls and some days later, Costco advised me that they would process a refund to my credit card. To date the credit has not appeared. Extremely poor Customer Service by the Bundamba staff who not interested in helping me despite the official receipt. Not much better from H O either.
Need to report to Brisbane QGSC #Very bad customer experience and Racism in NorthLake Costco
Hi Executive team of Costco Northlake store,
This is Wendy, I went to your store this morning at around 10:30am and prepare to pay at around 11:40am.
But I got stopped because of me using my friend’s card.
I was told that it’s not OK and I did want to open my new card when I understood your very strict policy, until I heard one of your cashier laughing very loudly and said to her so-called manager: "Hahaha I got another one! I got it! “
At that moment, I was ashamed being treated like a “thief" and she, who dressed in Green and pregnant, trea...t herself and the team as “Police”. What kind of the service employee attained their qualify work permit by treating customers as “thief”? The most unbelievable thing is: The woman took my friend’s card and stated it like she was the Queen “your friend have to pick this card by herself ! You are not allowed to take it!” What right do you have to take another person’t private property?!
The worst customer service and not that cheap!
I went to the North Lakes Costco. All staff members that I spoke to were rude and had an attitude from the entry staff to the customer service desk. They do not seem happy or friendly. It is like the culture of the business is to not care about their customers. I shopped there once and I am regretting paying the membership.
Also the products are actually not that cheap. Don't be fooled by buying in bulk - make sure to check the equivalent price. I thought a lot of items were MORE expensive then the regular supermarket.
Not worth the drive.
Roast chicken not cooked
Bought roast chicken from costco north lakes yesterday . Not cooked also have photos. Never buy one again. Very disappointed. Felt ill just looking at it.
We always buy our tyres from Costco North Lakes, Brisbane. The guys are always friendly, service is great and so are the prices! Highly recommend.
I think people should be aloud to browse to see if membership is worth buying especially big ticket items .
Most of the things they sell I don't usually buy. I am a bargain shopper and mostly buy the products at coles, woollies or Aldi when it's cheap. So I wouldn't save money on most food items like bulk junk food, meat, canned things etc. However they have massive and cheap cooked chickens and for business purposes I buy stacks of toilet paper and laundry detergent and save a bundle buying it at Costco. Not completely sure I'm saving $60 a year though. I've also bought a couple of TVs there which were a good deal. Cleaning products are cheaper at t...he supermarkets when on special, fruit and veggies are cheaper elsewhere or at least the same price. Also had some good deals on bulk hand towels and pillows at Costco. But not everyone needs to buy those. Maybe it would be a better deal if I didn't have to drive 40 minutes to get there. Horribly rude staff
