Crazy Domains is currently subject to intense criticism for technical instability and billing practices that many users characterise as unethical. Due to recurring reports of significant business downtime and difficulties obtaining refunds, the service appears high-risk for professional or critical business operations.
This company tricks you into "free" additional domains you don't want and never asks for and associated services. After 12 months they want payment for them and if you're on automatic renewal, you won't know until they take the money from your account. I had mine switched to manual payments but was spammed daily, threatening me with losing my data… Read more
if I didn't pay up. When you try and opt out, they make it too difficult to figure out how to do so and when I did, it ended up with them deleting my own, paid for domain as well. Then they spammed me daily with demands for payment for services associated with the domains they cancelled. In other words, they demand payment for products that are worthless. When I contacted them, they had the cheek to offer me "credit" for the 10 months left that I had already paid for but only if I paid to re-register my domain, the one they deleted. Apparently it was "a gesture of goodwill" to give me what I'd already paid for. Take my advice. Don't go near them if you value your website.
Very pushy sales tactics. Constantly spamming you trying to sell you domains and products you don't need. Relentless. Website designed to make it easy to spend $ and add products but harder to cancel things, etc. Unethical nasty cheap company.

Very bad business practices - they will try to sneak in things you don't want to buy, subscribe you to the things you don't want to be subscribed to, etc. User interface is clumsy and doing things you want to do doesn't guarantee you success - like cancelling renewal of a product would still go ahead as if you never turned it off (happened to me twice already). Stay away!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! – Due to a 'technical fault' our website and email were down for a full 2 weeks. Crazy domains are denying a security breach however there's a lot of proof that they were hacked. company is part of a bigger company called NEWFOLD BRANDS. They have a number of hosting providers so avoid them at all cost. They have terribly slow servers that run outdated operating systems. We have since switched to another company and the website performance and speed is 10 times better. We are seeking legal advice. I hope this review saves someone the stress they have caused thousands of Aussie businesses. They are the WORST!

unforgivable! You've caused many businesses a lot of stress and financial loss. The least you can do is provide regular updates on A. What the problem is, B. What you are currently doing to fix it. C. An estimate time frame of when it will be fixed. When i was on the online chat (they've taken the phones off the hook) i asked them if they'd been hacked. They REFUSED to deny it simply stating 'i'm not authorised to provide this information'.

I'm very frustrated because I'm a small business and I'm paying for advertising only to find out that my potential customers have been directed not to my website but to a page that says
'Your connection is not private Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.8tek.com.au (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). Learn more about this warning net::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID"
This makes my page look like a scam and is hurting my business. What hurts most is I paid for this on the 20th march over the phone with crazy domains and they didn't fix it
After contacting their 24 hours support they haven't fixed it after about 12 hours with no feedback
Really upset, there is no way to contact them or an account manager - just their inept 24hour chat support - hopefully someone from there can read this and assist, I feel it is my only way to reach out
I really really hate to leave negative reviews but I'm at the end of my tether because I just can't speak to anyone!!!!

spam folders and found no record of any verification email, including the alleged verification link associated with Ticket OEML-3197907. Due to the absence of such communication, I was denied any opportunity to verify my account. I previously raised this issue under Ticket IEML-1633770; however, it remains unresolved. I am fully willing to comply with verification requirements and have already offered to provide a valid government-issued ID for this purpose. Second, your Domains Team has provided incorrect and misleading information to Sedo regarding the transfer process of my domain, “cyberrealestate.co.” This domain sale was fully authorized by me. However, due to your team’s error (Ticket IEML-1634633), Sedo has not received accurate clarification and until the good agent Cherry provided the correct new information, the initial misinformation from your domains team, has resulted my payout being placed on hold or potentially cancelled. Until today, sedo tech team is trying their best to reactivate my account and sale since this is the first time this have happened to them, that the registrar made a mistake in proving the correct domain transfer clarification. This situation reflects negligence in handling both account security procedures and domain transaction communications, directly impacting my financial interests. To resolve this matter, I formally demand the following actions within seven (7) business days from the date of this letter: Immediate restoration of my account access and completion of identity verification using my government-issued ID. Immediate correction and clarification sent to Sedo regarding the proper transfer process for the domain “cyberrealestate.co,” ensuring that the sale is not canceled and that my payment is released without further delay. Failure to resolve these issues within the stated timeframe will leave me no option but to pursue formal legal action, including but not limited to claims for damages resulting from financial loss, negligence, and reputational harm. I trust this matter will be treated with the urgency it requires.

Update: It turns out that the server affected houses a number of customers, all of which are down, yet there is no mention of this on their Pulse Monitoring Page, and now they "As of now, we are facing challenges with the server, and that our dedicated server team is considering to transfer the server to another." This after close to 60 hours of outage.
Last Update: After more than 60 hours of outage, and no solution in sight as they considered whether to replace a faulty server, I transferred my domain and set up new email mailboxes with VentraIP, who were fantastic to deal with, using competent Australian technical staff. 'we are working on it' promises that led nowhere. To be told a site is 'functioning' when it is still throwing 500 server errors on multiple networks is insulting.

to the website, yet they dumped the full DNS records. Making it worse was that I couldn't access my emails to log back into the system rendering both customer support unavailable along with all of my emails and over $6K in revenue lost in sales from the full site being down three days. The SEO implications have also been huge, with a loss of 80% in my normal traffic for the month that followed. They took no responsibility, not even an apology, blamed me, the end customer for not knowing that my DNS records would be dumped. Do not trust these guys with your business, they will take your money and exercise zero accountability. Any web hosting system that happily just dumps DNS records whenever you make a small change to any of your services is a no go in my opinion. We are moving all of our services to a new provider.

non-functional, resulting in substantial financial loss to my business.
1. Persistent Email Failures
For the past six months, I have experienced a daily occurrence of technical errors when attempting to log into my email accounts. Furthermore, I am consistently failing to receive incoming emails.
Following your team’s specific advice, I transitioned to using Google Chrome to access my mail; however, the login errors persist regardless of the browser used. This lack of reliable communication is directly impacting my ability to operate and is causing a measurable loss in income.
2. Website Management and Data Loss
I have recently paid for a new website build for Sparkling Clean Maid. However, the management interface is currently unusable. On four separate occasions today, the system has logged me out spontaneously while I was entering business descriptions, resulting in the total erasure of my data. This has resulted in significant wasted labor and further delays to my business launch.
3. Formal Demand
As a paying customer, I have met my financial obligations to Crazy Domains. In return, I expect a functional service that meets basic industry standards. To date, Crazy Domains has failed to provide the service for which I am being charged.
I require the following actions within 48 hours:
A comprehensive technical audit of my email account to ensure 100% deliverability and stable login access. Resolution of the session timeout issues within the website management portal to prevent further data loss. A formal response outlining how Crazy Domains intends to compensate me for the six months of service disruption and the resulting loss of business income.

Polite but Unhelpful – Over a period of approximately six months, my business websites hosted with Crazy Domains experienced frequent intermittent outages, including HTTP 503 errors and connection timeouts. These outages were independently monitored using UptimeRobot,… Read more
which recorded dozens of incidents and many hours of downtime across multiple weeks. During some periods, measured uptime dropped well below the advertised 99.9%, at times averaging between ~80% and ~97% depending on the period measured.
I provided Crazy Domains with:
precise timestamps,
error codes,
screenshots from multiple devices and browsers, and
third-party monitoring data.
Initial responses repeatedly stated that the website was “working” at the time of checking and suggested possible local causes such as browser cache or device issues, even while outages were still being independently recorded.
After multiple escalations, including contacting the complaints process and senior support, Crazy Domains eventually acknowledged server-side issues on the shared hosting environment, including high server load and resource constraints.
Remedial actions included:
increasing PHP memory allocation, and
later, migrating the hosting account to a different server.
Despite these actions, outages continued intermittently for some time, and support tickets were closed multiple times while issues were still occurring.
Email services associated with the domain were also disrupted during parts of this period, particularly following server migration, requiring additional follow-up to restore functionality.
Crazy Domains ultimately offered time-based service credit as compensation. No monetary compensation was offered.
I later migrated my websites to another hosting provider. Since migration, I have not experienced comparable outages.
Crazy DomainsPros
Basic account management tasks (e.g. password changes, control panel access) generally functioned as expected.
Issues were eventually acknowledged at an infrastructure level.
Crazy Domains Cons
Extended period of repeated downtime.
Delayed escalation to server-side investigation.
Repeated ticket closures before confirmed resolution.
Communication often relied on generic responses rather than addressing supplied monitoring data.
Uptime fell significantly below advertised levels for extended periods.
Summary
Crazy Domains may be suitable for basic or low-criticality hosting. However, based on my experience, businesses that require consistent uptime, timely infrastructure-level diagnosis, or proactive monitoring should exercise caution.

account and bought a domain in Oct/2025 incl. 3 related security products. In March/2026, after accessing my account 2-3 times using my credentials I was exploring whether I was eligible for a free Mini site or other Website-Builder plans. I selected a 15 day free trial. NOTE the deceptive Website Builder pricing, e.g. from €8.18/yr but when you examine your Cart find products to the value of €121.72 and no information whether it's annual or monthly. In my case I deleted all items in my Cart. Next I received a message that I need to verify my credentials so I uploaded my valid driving license that was accepted successfully. However my account was still blocked without prior notification and an email eventually received that my selected free trial was deleted with reason being Fraud. Upon contacting support (I-24939492) I am told my account was reviewed by the Order Verifications team unable to verify the validity of my orders and failed verification of my provided account information. When asking what other documents verifying my credentials I received another evasive hostile support response (i.e. they don't know) but told me my case will be further reviewed. After a few days the account was made accessible however Website Builder plans were inaccessible. Incredibly I then received an email [OEML-3250570] stating " We’ve recently reviewed account activity as part of our standard order verification process. During this review, several orders for the Website Builder trial were identified — each submitted from a newly created account and using inconsistent or incomplete verification details. ". Conclusion - Don't waste your money and time using Crazy Domains. They don't want your business. As the name suggests this business is truly crazy, incompetent, unsecure, arrogant and hostile due to their own poor systems and processes. You have been warned.

But THAT'S PART OF THE PROBLEM. We CANNOT LOGIN to our Crazy Domains account because the login button keeps spinning, not allowing us in, and we cannot call anybody, as we are told there is not customer support on the weekend, then the bot hands up.
