Crema Grande Espresso
5 reviews
A true espresso and great making strong hot frothy or non frothy coffee depending how I want it – Turn it on steam with wand pointing into catch tray the first time you turn it on a dribble of water that primes the steamer is caught (people generally think this is a leakage prob) wait 1 minute (usually cook toast in this time) I love it because I can put milk in cup on machine, heat with steam wand in it, then dial the switch over to get crema. All one simple action. There is no fiddling with a frother that can be luke warm . I don't have to clean and rince a frother. I use the supermarket strong coffee (nespresso type pods) from either Woolies or Coles...Vittoria is good also. I run some coffee cleaner (Aldi) through the tank like I do for my Aldi machine.
Good, when it works! – I purchased one of these machines through a discount group website and at first it was great, worked fine. Not long after however, water started leaking out of the bottom of the machine and I would end up with a huge puddle of water. I can no longer use it now as the section at the top where you place the capsule in is now broken so when I insert the capsule, it will fall straight through to the drawer at the bottom of the machine. I have only had the machine for less than 6 months. There were no contact details for Customer Care to contact if there were any issues to try and have these probelms fixed so I am having to contact the group website the item was purchased through to try and obtain a refund. Cheap machine - you get what you pay for I suppose! When it actually worked, it made good coffee. It's now broken within 6 months!
Great all in one pod espresso machine – I purchased the first one for myself and have recently bought one with a group buying website. It is compatible with those handy Nespresso capsules and makes an amazing espresso. It includes a steam wand so you can make cappuccinos and it works very well. The machine quickly warms up and at the press of a button you have an amazing coffee. I guess the taste probably depends on what capsule you use, but the machine does its job Reliable, affordable compared to the big brands
I use the Nespresso capsules, although there are other brands you can use as well. You can buy them from Nespresso stores and stands found in most major shopping centres.
I just purchased one of these machines, what other brands of capsules can you use?
I can't remember the company name that our deal got it from - do you know it? I deleted the emails a had from them and need to send the machine back :(
I bought one of these from an online deal company and have no idea how to remove/fill the water tank. The instructions do not include this information and I have tried everything I can think of. Would someone please give me this information. The importing company, World Import Export is of no assistance so far. I am desperate. :( Thank you.
Does its' job – My partner bought it for me as a birthday present, and after using his nespresso machine for a year I didn't have high expectations. Little bit of trouble with the water container (there has to be some trick to it?) but the coffee tastes great and I love the fact that the steaming wand means you can heat the milk to whatever temp you like. For someone who drinks their coffee scalding hot, this was a one-up on the nespresso. All in all, the machine is great for the price and using the nespresso pods gives a great coffee flavour.
How do you get the water container off
Weak coffee, thin crema. Terrible waste of money. Not enough pressure to make a decent cup – I tried it with both the refillable pods and with Nespresso capsules. Same result. Weak, thin crema. Not enough pressure to push through and make a decent cup. I contacted the company and got no response. Don't waste your money. Quick heat Coffee is not nice
We kinda like this cheap machine but you have to learn how to drive it. It's a bit like an old car. It leaks (but so do expensive models I have read on this review site) which is annoying, If you use it correctly it makes a good coffee. The supplied manual is full of chinglish and not much use. I doubt if it breaks down I could get if fixed too. Hubby hates weak coffee and would throw it out in a heartbeat if that were the case, but he loves the coffee. It makes crema OK. I'm no expert but I went and watched the expensive machines in use at Nespresso and I didn't think this machine performed much different, actually thought our coffee tasted better. I use filtered water in it and flush it every few days. The frother makes great milk froth. I was ready to be disappointed but in truth, I'm not. I admit it is noisy and has it's weaknesses but if you read all these reviews so do the expensive models. Good intro to Nespresso coffee, not unhappy.
The unit is good but for the [censored word removed] taste form the water tank can any 1 tell me how to get the taste out
