I just wanted to say that I was rather disappointed, even though we only stayed for two nights at the Crown Promenade. Making the booking via Booking.com, the communication between myself and the Hotel was non-existent. I had earlier asked about Valet Parking. If you're planning to park at this establishment especially Valet, it is $70 per… Read more
day. And luckily only paid for 2 days.
Upon arrival, I took all of the baggage from the car and arrived into the lobby to check in.
The booking I got was for the 18th Floor at room 1890.
With 5 lifts, you'd expect it to be quick, it took maybe up to 10 minutes for a lift to come.
On the 18th floor, there was a vacuum cleaner in the corridor and a food tray lying against the wall as rubbish.
I got into the room, seemed somewhat impressive. Though checking into the bathroom and looking at the shower head, not adjustable at all. So if you are shorter than 6 foot, you're probably not going to be bothered, but if you are 6 foot and above, you will definitely struggle and you will end up hugging against the shower wall just for the water to disperse properly.
Upon checking the gym and pool area on lvl 3, I was impressed at first but after going through to look at the finer touch points, I was severely disappointed.
None of the gym equipment were routinely and regularly maintained. They were instead cleaned of course but not serviced.
The gym room which is at the rear end of the corridor starting with the cardio room, has lots of things to be utterly disappointed with. Where to begin.
- Missing 10kg dumbell from the dumbell tree rack. - multi-function trainer where cables are concerned are a public liability waiting to happen. Desperate need to service them. - the multi-function trainer has missing attachments and a missing yellow weight selector, so you can only use one stack. - the sign that says to clean after use?? Would be nice if you provided actually cleaning equipment rather than a sign that doesn't do or say anything constructive. - lack of appropriate signage for patrons to follow correct gym etiquette. - the 24/7 McDonalds is a joke and misleading with potentially deceptive conduct. It says 24/7, yet opening hours are subject to change. Well you are either 24/7 or you are not, so which is which??
Overall, based on the experience at this establishment, I got the sense that I got short-changed for what I booked. I do not believe I nor my partner got value for money.
Went to Melbourne for 5 nights decided to stay at the Crown Promenade to be central. It was very expensive but thought it would be worth it but I was very mistaken. Waited an hour to check in 3pm (line was out the door) only 3 staff serving. Went to up to room dumped bags and decided to check out pool and what food were around. Got changed got… Read more
something to eat then went for a late night swim. By the time we got back to the room and showered it was around 9.30pm went to go to bed and the bed was broken. The leg in the middle was broken so the bed dipped in the centre. Next morning went down to let them know about the bed and were told the room would be changed but nothing was available to later that day. So we went shopping, during lunch I received a call that a room was available and to return to be able to get it. So returned to pack our stuff and move rooms, the room was the same but 11 floors higher. Went back to our day of shopping and upon returning later in the day to have showers to go to dinner the shower was pathetic, no water pressure at all the water just fell out of the shower head. Wouldn’t stay there again, the body wash made me itchy and made my skin sting so I had to buy a body wash, I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels with better quality toiletries and coffe facilities.
Vighnesh at reception, Pamela and Dez in the main foyer and Alex on Concierge were all a stand out. Crown lucky to have them there. Our sincere thanks for a lovely few days.
The negative reviews don't suprise me at all after my experience with Crown Gift Cards. I was given a Crown gift card and wanted to use it to book a stay at Crown Sydney. The issue was my stay was scheduled for after the gift card's expiry date. I was unable to pay for the accommodation in advance using the gift card on line or over the phone. … Read more
They kept insisting that I go into the hotel and arrange a payment before my stay with no consideration that it was interstate!! They extended the gift card expiry by 90 days, meaning it still expired four weeks before I wanted to use it. No flexibility whatsoever. Completely ridiculous and non sensicle. I would have given 0 stars for customer service. It does not exist with Crown.
Very disappointed – So disappointing- stayed here with kids and they just punish you for having kids. Kids aren’t allowed to do anything and the swimming times for them are limited. Just such a waste of money compared to other hotels in Sydney that are welcoming and let you relax. Show details
Buyer beware – I was given a voucher for Crown Gifts of a reasonable value (almost $500); however, I was unwell and hospitalised shortly after receiving it. I was unwell for an extended period, and the voucher expired during this time. Once better and realised, I reached out to Crown Gifts, noting exceptional circumstances. No consideration is given to… Read more
circumstances, they stick strictly to the letter of the law - once expires, they have no obligation to honour it and won't. Crown would not even entertain the idea of considering exceptional circumstances.
Crown are certainly not concerned about their purpose or values. i.e. They seemingly take their purpose of “we create joyful, elevated experiences”, and values of “we care” with a grain of salt. Very much stick to the letter of the law over delivering on their values. Noting there is an interesting, lack a strategic focus, i.e. taking the short term profit despite the obvious tarnishing to the brand reputation. I am sure the giver of the gift would be very disappointed if they realised 100% of the value went to Crown and ultimately has not delivered any meaningful value to society.
I would avoid Crown Gifts / Crown services. Certainly not a good gift idea.
Crown Perth Casino 2015-2019 – I played poker regularly at Crown perth between 2006 and 2019.In 2015 i played a poker hand where the pot was awarded to another player even though I still held the winning hand.I emailed a complaint to the WA dep of racing, gaming and liquor.Afterwards it was clearly apparent that the WA dep of rgl illegally disclosed my identity and complaint to… Read more
Crown Perth poker staff and Security.I was thereafter insulted, belittled and ostracised by other players because the Crown perth poker staff shared the confidential complaint and my identity with players because their all mates.I was targeted by the Crown Perth security due to them obtaining illegal information from the WA dep of rgl and banned from the casino for raising my voice in 2019.There was a long gap i didn't play between 2015 and 2019.I mean come on folks this casino was found unfit to hold a license by the royal commission it was found guilty of facilitating money laundering. Not only did the Crown Perth poker staff and security obtain and use illegal information, they got it from a Western Australian State government department which is supposed to be their oversight and broke their own policy laws.As such if the Western Australian department of racing gaming and liquor was sharing illegal information with Crown Perth Casino in 2015 so freely and making it clearly and blatantly obvious to myself the person who made the complaint you can only wonder what level of corruption existed between Crown Perth casino and the WA dep of racing gaming and liquor.
Crown Sydney need new staff – This was our second visit to crown Sydney, and must say we had an absolutely terrible experience. After booking the same premier suite, we noticed our toilet leaking after the first day. After reporting this to the hotel and having a maintenance guy check the leak, we were told to stay out of the room all day so it could be repaired . Only to come… Read more
back at 530 pm and nothing had been done and the room not cleaned . After chasing up an answer again we were told that it couldn’t be repaired and they would have to move us , not on the day , but tomorrow . So we had to spend another night in this room. After packing , unpacking and then packing again the next morning to leave this was a shocking experience from a so called 6 star hotel. More insulting was the fact we still had to pay for the room and we’re only offered a $ 150 room credit !! Off a $ 1000 a night room , what a joke . It’s been a week since we left , and was promised a resolution after we left and surprise , no one has bothered to call . This was my last stay at crown Sydney considering the terrible service they provide now .
Great place – This place was so nice and making loved it staff were friendly as . Show details
High Tea appalling – We arrived with a booking and still had to wait 25 mins. Another 15 mins before even getting any drinks. Paid $150 each for the nicest champagne and it was flat. We had to ask for it to be changed even when pouring it there was no bubbles. The food was stale and dry. We purchased another bottle of champagne which took 15 mins to arrive. The… Read more

Stay at the Crown Hotel Sydney and feel like your dirt – Stayed Sat night at the Crown Sydney and was so disgusted by their poor service. Aside from having to wait in line for 30min to check in, the staff on the front desk were lovely. we were told our room wasn't ready so we went to the Cirq check in desk as we had a booking. the lady there would't let us upstairs because we were 30min early for our… Read more
booking. she offered no suggestion when we told her our room wasn't ready and where should we wait. we ended up sitting in TWR for 30min and having a drink. When we finaly got upstairs to Cirq half the place was empty so we could have easily waited up there!! We were not greeted by the door and there was no signage to say to wait so we walked through and someone barked at us to go back and wait at the desk. a couple of younger guys came in after us and got shown to their table before us.
On one occasion during the stay at the hotel, my friend and I travelled by lift to the ground floor and before we could get out of the lift a staff member pushed their luggage trolley into the lift and made no apology or attempt to move to the side. she just stood there, so we shimmied down the side of the lift car to get out of the lift. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the turn down servuce staff was so lovely but general customer service and going above and beyond needs a seriously look at across the hotel. I understand you probably have hiring issues since the pandemic but a little induction training and the simple rules of 100% customer service needs to be taught to your staff across the board. Really dissapointing when you consider we rented out 3 rooms between 3 couples for the weekend and we will seriously consider whether we go back. We had a dinner reservation at ele by federico and karl at the Star Sat night and it was like going to a different country. the service and care was phenomenal. Perhaps Crown management can visit Ele and see how to provide exceptional customer service. or next time we'll stay at The Darling.

Complex has lost its way – Crown Towers is great when everything works within normal parameters. As soon as you require any staff within the complex to do anything, or provide advice on anything other than their specific job parameters they shut down in fear! I found the staff so restricted by Crown rules that I felt bad for them. Staff are just restricted drones in a huge organization. Never again. Go else ware for quality service at better value! 18mo found a white pill! – My family and I stayed at Crown Metropol Perth from 18th May to 24th May 2022 in room 0412. Everything was great, however I think they need to step up on properly cleaning the rooms especially when you dont know what guests are staying. My 18mo son was crawling around and found a small white pill just underneath one of the twin beds near the… Read more
bedside table (it wasn't even all the way in). When we reported it to the manager of the hotel she just simply apologised and "investigate" the matter. I dont know what investigation is going on that takes weeks. Obviously your cleaners didnt do a proper clean and left our son to find the pill. I dont know what pill this was, luckily my husband saw it and snatched it off him before he could put it in his mouth! Who knows what could've happened and how dangerous things have gotten. Disappointed
On another note, none of the staff knows or understands the t&c of the rewards program when booking to stay at the hotel. They didnt even know that members recieves a hotel gift and complimentary wifi. This took more than an hr with them on the phone in which they had to leave it and speak to someone then get back to me. Eventually they agreed on the wifi and a lousy ONE drink voucher at the lobby. What a joke.

Disgusting Crown Casino Melbourne & Hotel Stay – When you've made complaints about racial profiling by security (3 separate occasions) & crown apologised to me and advised their stance on diversity & inclusion.
