I was advised I could sign up PAYG, with a manager they had in there at the time *he didn't last long and left, however I still offered to pay a year up front, things changed and I went to see about a refund, of unused 10 months or so, and they refused, saying "We’ve reviewed your membership and confirmed that the agreement you signed was for a… Read more

like their holy "SCRIPT" To wash their hands clean When and given my feed back in 3 different separate occasions) Their GYMS are overly packed. Dumbbells all over the place, sweaty benches also greasy plates that easily slip away from your grip. Gym hoarding people with no COMMON SENSE, TRAINING IN FLIP-FLOPS ... Specially at rock dale, is a total mess OFTEN with NO sanitary items. Not even that extremely slim cheap paper towels they provide, forget the sanitary liquid with empty bottles. I KID YOU NOT I GOT CONJUNCTIVITIS ON MY RIGHT EYE(pinkeye). PEOPLE HERE DON'T PRACTICE HYGYNE WHE USING THE TOILETS, several times saw several people not washing their hands. TOTAL SCAM! MY SHORT LIVED EXPERIENCE HERE WAS LIKE, TRAVELING TO A 3RD WORLD COUNTRY MINUS THE FRIENDLY ATTITUDE.(That at least you get to experience when overseas) ONLY SATTY (Alexandria) HAS decent manners.

Membership Scam – Avoid the Membership Scam - Crunch Springvale. I got 12 months base membership and even after cancelling the membership at the end they gonna charge you for the following year. They would say it is from system and they can't do anything about it.My membership started 12 Jan 2023 and I have cancelled it on 10 Jan 2024, because it should end as 12… Read more

months commitment finishes. I had to physically go to the gym as when I called in December one of the staff member said all good and it will get cancelled automatically once the membership ends. I told her on that day I do not wish to continue for the following year as I have moved. I haven't given consent or signed a new agreement to continue, still they have charged the annual fee of $44 for year 2024. Already emailed their marketing team and ms.springvale@crunch.com. au which doesn't work. Simple question for Crunch management & staff - Why would you setup to charge an annual fee even after the membership gets cancelled ? Still Crunch app shows that I need to pay on 25 Jan 2024 as well. #Crunchscam

Coldest gym I have ever experienced in 35 years – Been training at crunch hoxton Park for the past 4 years, every winter the air con is on full cold rather than a 21degree room temperature been leaving feedback regarding the air con to get fixed, 4 years later it's still not been sorted despite… Read more

the several emails and feedback left I have had no reply AT ALL!!! If you only train in summer then maybe crunch is for you, in winter you will need to wear a snow suit to train there. I am definitely going to another gym when my membership expires in 4 weeks time. The owner doesn't care at all and is a useless tightass, staff have no say and can't do anything to sort this minor issue, once they take your money your on your own. Better of paying a little extra and train somewhere else where the temperature is more comfortable to train in.

Follow-up  · Air con still blowing cold air directly at you when your trying to have a workout you got cold air blowing down right at you. So still nothing has changed regarding the air con after 6 years.

additional 3 months’ worth of fees just to cancel. This was not properly explained at the time of sign-up.

While the gym facilities were okay, the cancellation policy is very unfair — especially for members who relocate and genuinely cannot use the gym anymore. I found the process frustrating and unsupportive of real-life situations.

I will not be recommending Crunch Fitness to friends or family. If you are thinking of joining, make sure you read the contract carefully, especially the cancellation terms.

This business continues to charge customers even after membership cancellation, keeping bank details in their system without consent. The staff, especially Josh, were extremely rude and unprofessional. I found their conduct to be dishonest and misleading. Overall, it feels like a scam disguised as a legitimate business

This is an awesome gym with a massive facility & plenty of exercise machinery for both upper & lower body. They are also fantastic value for money e.g you can use the gym facilities daily for $10:95c a week. They also have an awesome offer for those that want to join group exercise sessions. covers you annually for group exercise sessions, including bringing a different friend each time for each of your sessions. That's awesome because for example you can share the annual fees with your friends. For example you can pay $500 & divide the other $400 among 3+ friends. So divide $900/52 weeks, which equals $17:30c a week. So you can literally attend up to 7 daily group sessions for $17:30c a week. Some gyms can charge a minimum $60 a week for group sessions. Don't get ripped off, go directly to crunch fitness. Also crunch fitness has plenty of onsight parking ️.

When I made a compliant to head office, I didn't hear back from them for weeks. I had no choice but to cancel our membership. How dare Crunch staff treat fee-paying members like that, WE are the people that pay your bills, WE are people that keep your doors open !! The staff at that gym have no business being in the service industry.

PS. Just have a look at the cob webs in their Gym in Mentone - you can stuff a few pillows with them … and if equipment breaks it is broken for weeks…

Crunch the numbers but you get what you pay for – Okay, so Alexandria is good, but like Rockdale and Mortdale, is filled with VERY dated equipment. Most of the cardio equipment works, but some are on their last legs and not working (Octane). The staff seem pretty helpful, the patrons a mixed bunch of serious vs newbies. The environment works for everyone which is one of the huge advantages of… Read more

Such rude uncaring staff – I have yet to come across a friendly staff member at this gym. So disappointing. I always smile and say hi and bye when I come and go, barely even get eye contact let alone any greeting. The equipment is frequently broken and not repaired and the glass is always dirty which makes the whole experience feel grotty. Terrible service (Unwelcoming and Rude) – "The phrase 'a monkey with a razor in its hand' perfectly captures the disastrous management of [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] at Crunch Mortdale. She’s… Read more

rude, disrespectful, and lacks basic manners, constantly interrupting and talking over members instead of listening to their concerns. It’s shocking that someone so unprofessional is in charge of a gym.

A recent incident highlights her incompetence and discriminatory behavior. The gym has a clear policy: *'No bags on the gym floor to prevent trip hazards.'* Sounds simple, right? But [Name Removed] seems to apply this rule selectively. When I pointed out that others weren’t being held to the same standard, she dismissively told me, *'Only think about yourself, not others.'* Aren’t rules supposed to apply equally?

I also asked about a man carrying a massive bag, much larger than what should be allowed. [Name Removed] claimed that *'small bags are permitted for medical reasons, like diabetes,'* but the man in question was a high school student with a large bag, nowhere near 'small.' There’s also no mention of this exception in the gym’s policy.

When I asked for clarification on the bag size and what documentation would be required for exemptions, she rudely cut me off, saying, *'This conversation is over.'* Exemplary professionalism, right?

[Name Removed] and [Name Removed] poor management and disrespect have turned this once-great gym into a nightmare. Members’ frustration is growing due to her lack of communication, failure to enforce basic rules consistently, and disregard for customer service. Avoid dealing with her if you want to preserve your gym experience.

If you look at the photos, it’s clear that the rule is applied selectively—blatant discrimination. I’ve emailed both the local and head office of Crunch, but it’s disappointing that they haven’t responded.

Update#1: 17/09/2024 My membership has been blocked, and neither the staff at Alexandria (Head office) nor Mortdale can offer any assistance. Despite paying regular, my membership has been suspended without any prior communication and will remain so until further notice.
