Very happy with our van, from pre-delivery communications with Michael and the team to post-delivery questions the service and support has been fantastic. Our third van; quality, value for money and comfort expectations have been met or exceeded. Locally made, all boxes ticked ✅✅✅✅✅ Show details

Best Caravan product in Australia, just don't buy it from the Gold Coast dealer, they're hopeless! Show details
Actually terrible service we bought a new life changer back in January at Geelong caravan show and at the time the customer service was very good but after I paid deposit cash it was clearly stipulated that I would get the first service free and trust that they mean exactly what they had sold me boy was I wrong so the first service came around… Read more
and we went to book it in at Ballarat city caravan as soon as we said that crusade would be paying the bill. Sadly the boys put in reverse and backtracked stating that they don’t pay so they won’t be able to with that partner rang Crusader in Sydney Road and organised it through their. Service agent ( which they own also under another umbrella with that the day came and lowing behold from January to now they have conveniently removed the free service of invoice later find out that they are well known for being shifty well after missing a turn and half hr later arrive to be told we need written proof that we had the free service in all honesty is well and truly cost me more money than the service would of cost and I was already paying for the Aussie de flapper kit . So feeling quite aggravated we went in next door to crusader in all honesty I didn’t think I had an issue but boy was I wrong I was meet by the most rude condescending excuse for a little man [Name Removed] and his consort big bad body guard [Name Removed] standing there and with in 2 minutes I was feeling quite upset as I’m a manager in a plumbing firm and honestly I’d never speak to a client like I was said couldn’t remember me and when I said it was the big man who approved it [Name Removed] dad now by memory on day of show he was a true gentleman sad to say the apple is sour coming from his loins and by god was it bmvery bitter with in five minutes it was clear that they weren’t budging my partner told them that we pre booked and with that was told we can’t see on original invoice blaten lie as when I tripped him up in regards to saying I could guarantee that no other person possibly this year had enough cash to pay deposit at the show with that he did remember us having paid deposit now I’m I thought we had a good report with younge [Name Removed] I even made sure to go back to him in January now I can’t fully guarantee but I have one of those heads that can’t be forgotten easily lol but [Name Removed] said we wouldn’t remember us and then said we have to cover up front and if I can proof that was sold with free service with in that the way we were treated the brand new van left waiting out front no care or compassion even after all that I decided against having it looked at by sub par service agents so I said to [Name Removed] after all this as I didn’t realise that the paper work had been doctored that I’m going to go back and support local companies as I have to pay so out for the cost of getting there caravan park fuel and food and wear and tear for what to be treated like a second class citizen from the most rudest little man with a god complex so I stated that sadly I’ll be leaving this review as there is no doubt that they are unscrupulous with that then it got turned up a notch by [Name Removed] so you threaten review to get what you want lol well yes especially when I’m a principal driven man and I sit when make mistakes and stand when I no I’m right so now with that threat of intimidation from both [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] Sydney rd crusader I won’t be recommending anything from this branch (boss son store ) very unhappy and have a real sour taste after talking with that peanut we went around and around checked the computer as recorded all phone contact then smugly stated that we need to proof that I’m not a crumb as spending close to 90k for them to alienated me so now the back of the van has a product safety msg and as I’m Asperger’s I’m now making this a personal responsibility to name and shame the terrible experience and mental state of Sydney rd crusader and the boss putrid way he conducts him self and forced young [Name Removed] I’m sure as i said have one of those heads only a mother would love and a pocket full of cash after leaving I reached out to [Name Removed] on email to no response or time very very rude unpleasant way they communicated and conduct was none existent I truthfully would not bye a god d*mn thing from these rude individuals this is a warning to check and make sure all parties are on same track
2024 Crusader Serenity. Having travelled several thousand kms and spent 11 weeks in it, I’m more impressed than when I first got it. The finish, comfort, layout, looks and overall build (chassis, body and interior) are pretty good. The insulation quality is excellent and no water leaks (from weather). Dust from unsealed roads is virtually… Read more
non existent. Their Sales and Warranty service is outstanding. The only issues I have are the failures of Quality Control. Obviously the factory workers lack supervision and care. Mostly the issues have been fairly minor and fortunately I can complete most repairs such as water leaks due to poor plumbing work and poorly fitted vents, drawbar tap etc. The A/C has not been fitted properly and needs more attention (extremely noisy because they used the wrong product sealing it and over tightening mounting bolts). Conclusion. I am very impressed with this van and enjoy using it. It’s incredibly comfortable and I now have a lot of confidence in it, although I did change their cheap Chinese tyres for Maxxis.
If you are buying a Caravan and Crusader have what you want go and see Michael and Paris, their Customer Service is the best in the Industry and we have not encountered the same Professionalism, Honesty, consistent Communication and after sales service with any other brand or dealer before. We highly recommend them.
We have a 2yo Crusader. Excalibur Dc12250...20000 klm...Could not be happier. Any warranty was always addressed. ...I have only had a couple minor things.. supplier stuff. .build quality is second to none. All the other major brands are playing catch up...Have travelled with most other well known brands ..they were all having problems. Crusader… Read more
has better build quality and back up than the other over priced... look at me ...wobble boxes. If i could give 100 stars i would....Best quality and value out there.
Warranty Issues ignored to the point I gave up and financed own repairs, steer clear of Crusader and Crusader Newcastle. I suggest if you expect support with repairs due to workmanship and installed product failures buy another brand. Show details
So much for australian made, how these guys got awards is beyond me, van came on time but gave me the wrong model, also paid $715 for a Mappa nauva table and got a cheap chinese table, dealer scratched my windows and decals when washing it on handover in adelaide, broken stabilizer leg and jockey wheel after 1 week, poorly done silicone, van not… Read more
clean, i had better luck with a chinese van, poor communication is an under statement., my door has gaps of 2-3mm because frame was screwed in to tight, letting bugs in.CANT WAIT TO GET RID OF MY VAN, MINUS 5 STARS FOR ME, STAY CLEAR..also nothing is consistant with there advertising..
Disappointing warranty process ruined summer – Happily enjoying our caravan Dec 23 until Nov 24. The warranty system is a disgrace. We have been without our van December 1 2024 and now told end of February 2025 at the earliest. Ruined our summer plans. Crusader warranty division were made aware early Nov and again with service agent December 1 2024.
Disappointed – Waited 12 mths for delivery of our Excalibur Nobleman. Took delivery 12/2023. Actually really like our van, but have had far too many issues and has taken Crusader months and months to rectify problems. Was 6 mths before we could take our first trip and a week in had to return home because of more problems. Another 2 mths (July2024) and supposed… Read more
to be all fixed again and headed off for only our 2nd trip and once again cut short with even more problems. This time can’t get seen to till October and hopefully they can finally fix this lot of issues. If we are lucky we just might get in a quick trip before for the 1st anniversary of delivery. Should have been half way around Australia by now! Sad part is that most of the issues relate to tardy workmanship and a total lack of quality control at manufacture!
Crusader needs to provide better direct after sale service for faults in their vans – We bought a Crusader Gladiator Force in December 2023. The overall van is ok, some teething problems with the build quality. What upsets me is the company does not take ownership of their product. It is out sourced to dealers who quite frankly don’t fully understand the build of the Caravan. Crusader do not provide an overview of the van in terms… Read more
of what is operational for example light switches that do not activate any lights, water pumps that don’t exist. There are a mass of hoses and switches under the van, with no explanation as to what they do. When you buy a car, your car manual has fully labelled diagrams with explanations accompanying the diagrams. Why can’t Crusader Caravans do the same? The only manuals provided are for third party appliances such as fridges , microwaves etc. nothing as mentioned from Crusader re the build. We just did a 4 month trip and it is really frustrating when something stops working eg water pump and you have no idea how to trouble shoot the problem because their is no manual and Crusader diverts your call to a dealer because they don’t want to take ownership of their build quality. Would I recommend Crusader … no. I really don’t understand how they win any awards based on my experience in trying to deal with the company.
Update to the above. We have now had the van just on two years. Fridge has been replaced ... not… Read more
A great product. Would buy again – Overall we have been happy with the van excelsior nobleman though not without some issues. Going in for warranty work in September which will be a good judge. Not happy with its towing however , that may be me. Show details · 1

Very happy – We ordered our van from Crusader in April. At the time of ordering, we mentioned that we needed the van for a planned holiday in December. The salesperson was confident we would have the van on time. Original delivery was supposed to be early November. This was delayed by about a month due to an unforeseen equipment issue in the factory. As soon… Read more
as we heard this, we raised a concern with the salesperson who managed to negotiate an earlier build slot. We have since taken delivery of our new van in time for our holiday plans, which we are most relieved about! We’re sorry other people have had a less positive experience, but we are personally very satisfied with Crusader’s service and so far with the finished product we have received.
Great quality built caravan worth the wait! – Can not fault Crusader Caravans. We purchased a Crusader Musketeer Treville. Quality built unit at a fair price. I would recommend waiting for one, my advice is first be patient, second whilst waiting join a Facebook group that is the model you are purchasing, you learn all kinds of things that help you prepare for & enjoy your trips, third… Read more
whatever the dealer tells you is the delivery date, in your mind prepare yourself for potential delays and don’t book holidays, (expectation postponed makes the heart sick) this way if it comes on time, early or late you will not get stressed, 4th be kind to people and people will be kind back to you. After all it’s just a material possession, that you will enjoy using today and tomorrow it can be gone. Happy travels, you will love your crusader caravan!
Just want your deposit! – Sales person guaranteed us that our van would be ready by end of Nov. (on contract). That is why we ordered our van in the first place. Now we have had delivery date pushed forward 3 times. Still waiting. Crusader do not give you the courtesy of updates with delivery dates (only if you contact them). Then there is no explanation given. Customer… Read more
service? What customer service? So liked the quality of the vans but is the stress worth it if you pre-arrange travelling with your new van? So disappointed in Crusader Caravans promising delivery and then letting customers down without explanation. Still waiting.
Still waiting Crusader – As per all the other reviews, our van is now being pushed back continually . Seems to be a well run con by crusader. It’s now August 2023 so they really can’t use the excuse they are relocating. I’m appalled by the company’s so called ethic. We have paid our deposit in good faith and their caravans look amazing and have good build reviews. I have… Read more
been chatting to many who say this is their company ploy - get the customers deposit, string them along, get decent interest, then when the customer gets fed up they o sell the caravan with an even faster deposit. Crusader we expected better. We are still waiting ………..supposed to be ready end June , then. July, then September and now October. Not impressed
Ordered November 2021 - still waiting in May 2023 (1.5 years later) – Every 4 weeks I'm told my caravan is delayed because the chassis still hasn't been built (which by the way Crusader own the chassis company Intel Engineering). I'm now stuck constantly paying increased rent when I'd planned at least four months ago to be on the road. At present I'm out of pocket on expenses in these endless delays in the… Read more
thousands. For the fifth delay I was told "it'll be another 4 to 5 weeks, we're waiting on the chassis (yet again)". There was a 6 month delay because their new factory was slow to get running. This has been utter insanity. Worst still is the sheer lack of communication.
For my extensive delays I was offered a single free caravan service.... $400 value or there abouts. All I want is a firm date on when I can expect my caravan, not pixie time estimates.
I don't understand why they provide customers estimated build dates if they won't stick to them (or even be +/- 20%). Use MS Project, plan each build out and add contingency (you know, like real companies, projects, builders, etc. do)... then tell people "it's likely another 5 months but you can be sure this time" rather than "it'll be 4 weeks, it'll be 4 weeks, oh sorry, another 4 weeks". Right now it's 6 months out and counting (on top of an already 12 month original waiting period). This is beyond a joke.
If you're buying a caravan please consider carefully who you pick as a manufacturer and stipulate a delivery month (plus a max of two months) on your contract of sale for the delivery ... otherwise refuse to sign. You'll save yourself being taken for a lengthy ride. If they refuse your modified contract of sale you'll know that you'll have a lengthy wait and the dealers know it - walk away!!!
Sure the caravan might be built well... but it's not much good buying a caravan to take your mother around Australia (out of her nursing home for the trip of a lifetime) if she's dead before you even get the caravan!!! This is why timeframes matter... people have real lives and need to plan real things around them. It's utterly frustrating and inexcusable to make contracts that remove all liability on your delivery schedule yet hold customers to ransom for paying once it's delivered (otherwise they lose their 10% deposit)... which when you're buying a 6 figure caravan is over $10K lost.
That's the thing here: if we were talking about buying the cheapest model where there's lots of demand I might understand the huge waiting list (but again be honest about the waiting list)... but in this case I'm buying something over $110,000 and being treated worse than dog dung under a shoe. Just think about that a moment. Price of a Mercedes on a caravan and ignored as a customer. Pick wisely - these guys are not here for you at all, it's about the sales and for whatever customers get sick of waiting then they'll lose their 10% deposit because they walked away frustrated. It's a very sly business model and really needs an ACCC investigation.
Given I'm not made of money I'm literally stuck to this ongoing drama, back and forth, because that deposit is real money that took me months to save. This process is exhausting. Paying bills that I shouldn't have to because of delays in delivery is exhausting (and expensive). My mother missing out on the trip of a lifetime for her final days is exhausting emotionally on me because I literally have no power over this anymore.
Congratulations Crusader... look at how your customers feel. What a win. Be proud. Caravan builder of the year several years running. Three cheers. :-(
No confidence – Crusader keep delaying delivery of our new caravan. They have missed their delivery date so many times such that we have lost confidence with this company being able to give us an actual achievable delivery date. We have had to canceled holidays multiple times and are unable to book with confidence any trips in Australia for the summer holidays.
