CTEK CTX Battery Sense

Useless – Discontinued product. It was very nice when I purchased this several years ago until the app was updated. It wouldn't connect and when the issue was resolved it never displays anything other than the correct voltage. My fully charged AGM battery shows 30% charge in the app. Useless monitor and I will never purchase another CTEK product.

Completely useless since the last 2 updates – I'm not sure how incompetent you have to be to update an app to the point where it is unusable. The battery sense app on Google play store was fantastic, then they updated it and it wouldn't connect, wouldn't give current battery state etc. They just updated it again and now it connects but the only up to date info you get is battery voltage. The battery sense is useless without the app and they seem to be unwilling to fix it

Not accurate – It wrongly displayed the battery percentage of my agm auxiliary battery, showed correct voltage but percentage never changed. Asked around on online forums and seems to be a common theme

Great for batteries that are not used regularly – I have 3 of these monitoring batteries in 2 caravans and a boat. Typically they are always on charge, 2 solar and 1 240v. The app reminds me to check once a week and this means that I pick up if one of them has been unplugged. The camper has very low drain when not being used and can last a few weeks without charging, the ctek battery sense has not impacted that, current drain by the device seems to be very low. I highly recommend this

Terrible product not fit for purpose – Horrible phone app that requires a lot of pinching and scrolling to see any data. Incredibly inaccurate device that says battery is full when it is almost fully discharged yet at other times says battery is low when it is fully charged. It NEVER gave anything close to an accurate reading and I threw it in the bin. Great concept very badly executed.

I have had a long history with Ctek products. Battery chargers seem great, DCDC chargers somewhat less reliable but this battery monitor ... I would not recommend.
