solid as a rock – Purchased 2014, still using it in 2020. I agree with most of the comments posted on productreview. I'd like to add that in my first 3 years of use I used it 5 times per week. Hence after 6 years of solid use the machine is still going strong. Yes, the rubber gasket needs to be removed and washed every time it is used. Also around the spindle of… Read more

the blade and on the top of machine itself needs an occasional good clean. Quite noisy, wasn't too expensive.

Blend quality was very good, only a fraction below what I could achieve using the exact same ingredients on a Vitamix. I was able to compare this machine with a classic vitamix with a side by side comparison at one stage.

Blending doesn't generate too much heat which is good. Generates a lot less heat than a vitamix.

Few too many large cups and the lids with holes in them. Should have supplied lids without holes in them instead. My blades haven't started corroding yet.

Cuisinart blender is Good – This machine is very easy to wash and dry and the blender is easy to use. I do like the blender as it handled all of the hard and soft liquids that I used. It is a 1.25 litre and I can make drinks for everyone. I was so disappointed with the food processor as it didn’t process my foods properly. The blade kept getting stuck on small items like… Read more

pitted dates. Also it’s very noisy but that’s what you get when you don’t pay big bucks. Overall it’s ok.

Avoid Cuisinart products!!! – I own two of these, one at our house and one at our holiday house. The one at our holiday house leaks every time it is used to make a protein shake (pulsing for 15 seconds, see photo). I contacted Cuisinart/Conair and they asked for me to send them multiple photos and videos which I did, which shows the problem. They then asked for it to be sent… Read more

to them to be tested. They tested it with a clear liquid, couldn't find the problem and sent it back. They refused to test it with a coloured liquid which would have been a better test. The older model is fine, but the new model is flawed. They have the same model number so you can't tell. Save your money and buy another brand with better customer service

Best on the market – I've been using the cuisinart for 6 months. It is slightly pricier than the Ninja anf other entry level mixers and blenders but is far better quality. Comes with travel lids and the cups fit in car cup holder Show details

Great blender - been using for 2 years – I mainly use the blender to blend a smoothie nearly every morning. The blades are sharp and motor is powerful and loud - expect to wake everyone else up. The only downside is after 2 years - I've noticed my blades are corroding? Its not affecting the blending however I'm not so sure about whether or not its safe anymore. I only use the small drink size container for blending. Show details

Beast Mode Blender! – This product is very reliable. My housemates and I have used it to grind coffee beans, blend salsa, puree spaghetti sauce, blend smoothies... you name it we've done it! For the price (Myer for only $69) it can't be beat. I've had this for about 3 years now and it still works great. Easy to clean, love all the accessories and bottles. The settings… Read more

are basic, but get the job done. If you're looking for affordability this is a great buy, otherwise a nutribullet may be better if you've got the money and are looking to do more serious blending.

Terrible. Food stuck under rubber seals – I bought this and used it to blend my babies food. Washed it as I normally wash things. Took it out of the cupboard a week later to notice a foul smell. Upon further investigation I realised there's a rubber seal & food had gotten caught underneath it. I had to pry this seal off with a knife. Not hygienic at all, quite dangerous in fact... Show details

Burning Smell Put me off – I wanted to return this because of the burning smell. Was told it was normal so still have it, but wary it's going to short circuit or something ato any time. Blending smoothies is fine, but tried to chop prawn mince for my dumplings and it just gets stuck and stops. Doesn't suit my needs and the salesperson guaranteed it would be fine. Also- the number of extra containers you get is excessive! Hard to store them all.  Show details

Use it daily and it is very reliable – This product was purchased for me back in 2014 after trying a number of cheaper blenders. The Cuisinart blender has never let me down for smoothies requiring harder contents such as nuts, seeds, vegetables etc. Although not as powerful as the far more expensive vitamix, this blender has stood the test of time. Discontinued due to poor quality – Would never buy a Cuisinart com=act blender again. It just doesn't last. Give it 2 - 3 years of low to moderate use and it's had it. Motor speed is very hit and miss. Sluggish. Smells like something is wrong. Noisy cogs trying to work. Doesn't always respond to turning on. Disappointed in this products life. Was great to start with but more than that is expected.  Show details

Does the job – It works well for smoothies and making “nice cream” with frozen bananas It stayed sharp for 10 months of solid use. If you blend something thick it sometimes gets a little overwhelmed and starts to struggle Pretty small size but cons with lots of containers which are annoying in the cupboard  Show details

Perfect!!! – I am really happy with this product. It comes with few types of blades, such as: for chopping, juicing and blending. It is really easy to clean and light. It is a small blender but can do a big task.  Show details

Powerful and loud – Chose the cuisineart brand over the nutribullet. The pack came with many cups and different blades. This machine works very well. Only downside is it is quite noisy but given what it is doing I don't think this avoidable.  Show details

Decent product but I expected more – I bought this mainly for making smoothies. I had an old crappy one from Aldi and wanted to upgrade to a better product. Unfortunately, I find it doesn’t quite mix everything as well as my other blender. Chunks and ingredients often get stuck at the top of the blending cup. I usually have to take it off and stir it at least once. Not as much of an… Read more

Blend away! – I bought this blender to make my daily morning fruit smoothies, and it does the job well. Mango, yoghurt, ice, vegetables, all blends nicely. I can then take them around using the four portable mugs. I can bring several at a time if I’m making for my friends too. Light, portable and just what I need.  Show details

Pretty good plenty, bang for buck – Have been making juice/smoothie using frozen fruits, yoghurt, milk, nuts and anything I like. Blends well and gets the job done. Although it does not have the fastest blending speed among its competitors but for its price can't really fault it. Have been using it for a year now and still runs well. Easy to clean. Had an small issue with the blade assembly but was quickly replace as part of warranty for a brand new one!  Show details

Not recommended – Bought first one, worked perfectly for about 1.5 years the motor burnt. Contacted supplier and received a replacement. This time it only worked for less than a year the motor is not burnt yet but completely lost power. When I try to make a smoothie it will just stop after working few seconds. I think it not worth the money I have paid. Although the after sale service is good, but the product quality is really poor.  Show details

DOES NOT CRUSH ICE as advertised – VERY DISAPPOINTED. This blender cannot crush frozen berries or ice as advertised. I need to add a lot of liquid (diluting the fruit smoothie) to the frozen berries else the blender just spins and fruit gets stuck. I bought this for my kids to make their own smoothies. Now I need to semi defrost frozen fruit in a separate container first. Not convenient as hoped,  Show details

Not really worth it – Has that burnt motor smell but it didn't really bother me. Used it every other day to make a breakfast smoothie then one day it just dies. Good for a while – Bought this blender thinking I would get a better one than those $40 ones from the 'cheap' shops. Worked well for the first 12 months, had the occasional burning out motor smell. Really expected better than that for the price. Very disappointed. Will go back to my cheap Chinese no name one, buy my $2.00 seals (the reason I decided to spend the extra $ on a so called quality machine.)

Very disappointed!

I am happy with mine – I am satisfied with its blending ability however I have had to purchase a full food processor to do the harder things that I didn't really expect the cuisinart to do. For the cost I think it is good value for money. I do sometimes smell burning from the unit if I run it for more the 10 sec or with not enough liquid in it however the unit turns it self off and waits to cool down then you can use it again. I would buy this again.

Fails to work – This is our second one after first replaced, it simply does not work. The light fails to turn on to operate and our son cannot wait for it to decide when it wants to work to eat. Do not buy it! It is not worth the trouble to wait for it to work and now I have to take this one back, more time and money for gas. UPDATE: Matchbox store gave us a full refund today. So credit to this store should be given thus my edit.

Perfect for traveling – This was my pick when I was searching for a travel blender. It's small enough to pack down but does a great job. On the downside though, there is a slight burning motor smell when you run it for too long, and it will struggle with heavier loads but that is to be expected with a blender of this size.

Ok but not fantastic – I received this for my birthday and was thrilled. I started getting the burning motor smell and one day when chopping nuts it stopped forever. Very good blender – I have had the blender for nearly 6 months now and it has been used at least once every day.i have had no problems with it at all. although a little noisy, its a fantastic machine and for the price its well worth purchasing. I use it to mix up protein shakes with fruit, oatmeal and it does a great job.

Beats it to a pulp – Boy have I learn't a lot since buying a smoothie machine. Simple fact is there isn't one machine that does it all. The blender type will, for veg at least, make a thick furry drink, a bit like drinking damp carpet. But that's not a bad thing. You're getting 100% of the nutrients of whatever you're blended. I have learnt that it's more about how… Read more

you use the machine and not expecting the machine to work miracles to compensate for your lack of imagination or technique.

If you make fruit smoothies, they blend up into a delightful thick drink. Veg will always have that furry finish.

Last night I made pumpkin soup in it for dinner - microwaved the pumpkin, added a little stock, some water and some cumin and delightful. 6 minutes flat. Going to make cauliflower soup and maybe even beetroot.

I'm very happy with it for what it is. If you're not prepared to experiment with it to get the best out of it, don't buy one. You've probably already got some sort of appliance that will come close.

Not bad but not fantastic – Purchased one of these to do smoothies and it didn't really do the job well, most of the ingredients got stuck down the bottom around the blades and beneath them so even if you do pulse it won't turn in to the ingredients below. does a far better job.

Not a bad blender maybe if you are using a lot of liquid like yogurt and juice in with your ingredients then it should blend fine.

Built well and solid, the containers seem to be very sturdy and it is nice and compact on the bench.
