Unreliable and has to be constantly rebooted – First unit broke after a year of usage and was replaced under warranty. The first unit also needed to be rebooted all the time if a new computer accessed the network (ie when I got home after a days work). The second unit also has the "ip conflicts" and needs rebooting everyday. It's a pain and compared to a no brand modem (which has not… Read more

problems at all). it's frustrating that this occurs.

This is the 3rd DLINK modem we have. And the last.

Was the best we had!! excellent device most of the time – It was an excellent modem for more than three years. It provided fast speeds for multiple devices and easy connecting. Only problem was after three years it occasionally lost connection and the settings. Up till then it was perfect With DODO internet adsl2+ Highly recommend this to adsl2+ users

Best modem/router so far – I bought this secondhand for $25 after my Netcomm NB6plus4Wn modem /router failed after 15 months only ! Warranty rejected....setup for this was easy, and it is faster than the Netcomm, also has a much stronger signal on the 2nd. floor. Very impressed, just hope it will last, if not no big loss ! Price, speed, range nothing so far

Not bad, but not good either. You get only what you pay for – I've bought two of these routers over the past 18 months...one has recently shown signs of severe degradation at only 18 months old. It has to be rebooted every few hours but its worst symptom is slow internet - and it isn't the line or the filters either. It has also had a lot of problems with the wifi. My other one has difficulties accessing the… Read more

web-based software and occasionally I find I have to reboot it. firmware updates have not fixed the problem.

This router is ok for the money you pay for, but it seems it isn't built to last. Recommended for a cheap router but you definitely get what you pay for. Cheap, easy setup Not built to last, and web-based software not particularly user-friendly and seems to jam up at times.

Worst Purchase Ever – This is the worst thing I have ever bought. Problems from day 1. Called 'Technical Support' over 10 times for same issues, wasted too many hours of my life. Continually needs re-setting and re-configuration. Once fixed it will work fine for 1 hour up to a few days only before it decides to forget everything. Soooooooo annoying, save yourself the hours of continual frustration and buy something else.

I've had problems – Never had wifi before in my house so have nothing to compare it to but for the amount of time I've had it have had issues with it and sooo inconvenient. Many many times I've had to reconfigure and reset my router for some reason it either resets itself all the time. When initially contacted the helpline took awhile to get through as they are… Read more

overseas. Probably wouldn't buy this brand again. But when bought only cost $100. But when it does work, it works well. Price inexpensive Unreliable

Becomes a problem if you have to reset – This was all smooth to set up initially, however, I had to reset it at one stage and it became extremely difficult to set up the wireless settings! At one point it asks for an 8digit pin which cannot be found anywhere! You can't set it up without it. The instructions from dlink support told me to reset it. Then when I reset it I couldn't even log… Read more

in anymore to set it up again! Extremely frustrating for something that should be simple! Maybe try another brand of router is my recommendation!

Good modem/router - at a price! – I bought this because my old adsl2 modem/router - also d-link - was struggling when we had two laptops. a desktop, and an iPad using our wireless network at the same time. When there is only one user, it's hard to tell the difference. I measured pings to be about 10% faster, downloads about 3.5% faster and this presents itself as a "crisper"… Read more

internet connection. Where it really scores, though is when there is more than one device using the network. No longer does the system slow down to a crawl - it is actually usable - slower, maybe, but usable. Easy to install, and seems typically reliable. I used the older router 24 hours a day for four years without a single problem. Easy to install, fantastic security, lots of facilities easily accessed, good support and documentation. It was about double the price of my old router. Build quality is not as good - plastic not metal.

Bad to start with but good now – Was looking to replace my older D-Link 504T Modem and seperate wireless router with one unit and given my old 504T worked perfectly for years another D-Link was the way to go. Out of the box no luck, setup disk didn't seem to provide the correct iPrimus settings and the ADSL light would never go solid i.e. no connection. Tried using the web… Read more

interface, config all okay but still no ADSL connection even though I was using the same line as the 504T which connected every time.

D-Link support suggested a firmware upgrade to AU 2.0 which I did (only use IE to do this, firefox and others don't work!!).

Connected and has worked perfectly since. I think there may be a few undocumented fixes in the latest firmware. Supported by vendor, seems reliable now and working as expected Didn't work out of the box but D-Link support is good.

Generally great but why does it reset itself – This router seems fine most of the time. However I've just had it reset itself for the 2nd time in about 6 months. The real problem this time, was that the wireless setting didn't turn on after the initial reset. Also, I cant log on to the setup page via Internet explorer anymore. Tried calling the support phone number. They helped me do a… Read more

proper reset to try and get the access to the setup page working, but accidentally got the wireless working instead. To get to the set up page I have to use Mozilla Firefox now. The firmware upgrade they suggested didn't work the first time so gave up on them. Mostly good. Resets itself with wireless turned off somehow sometimes.

Works flawlessly every time – I replaced my previous modem with this D-Link Modem Router as I wanted a wireless connection. I'm not the most computer-savvy person, but I was able to install this modem myself, quickly and easily. I've had it for about 2 months now. It is used daily, and is sometimes in use for 12 hours a day. In this time I've never had an issue with it. … Read more

After turning on, it takes about 40 seconds to connect to the Net. It never drops out.

I've never had to worry, "Will it work today?" like I have done in the past with other modems. Easy to install, easy to use, reliable A bit pricey

Excellent – This is our current household unit servicing one Desktop, three laptops, a netbook, and a Nintendo Wii. I've seen some other routers fail at correctly assigning MAC-IP adresses, this one does it solidly, if you don't assign an IP to a MAC it won't connect to that machine PERIOD (if you choose to enable MAC filtering option, that is). Solid… Read more

security. It's fast. It has very good range and penetration of walls, even in a steel framed brick house. Has operated flawlessly since new, even during the 40+ degree C heat-waves. Was a bit pricey, but has operated flawlessly since new.
